It has a black cylinder bottle with purple letters scattered on it?
Just smelled this delightful sent and am seriously considering buying a bottle.
My only concern is that it’s too feminine and doesn’t project well or last long.
Does anyone who does own a bottle agree or disagree with that concern?
Over years of exploration, I've found that fragrances alwaysss pull sweet/musky on me.
For this reason I avoid gourmands like the plague, as the moment they touch my skin the sweetness is amplified to nauseating degrees.
Heavy musks are also a no go, as they almost pull spoiled-milky on me.
Very green and aromatic scents tend to work best with my chemistry, whereas everything pulls spicyyy on my best friend. One of my favorites became straight up masala curry on her skin lmao
What notes tend to get amplified or lost on you all? And what notes/accords do you feel work better with your chemistry?
Was very excited to get it, but I am quite disappointed so far. When I sprayed it on the air smelled amazing and I could really smell the vanilla, but all I can smell on my skin and clothes is smoke and incense and it is pretty bitter. Did I go noseblind immediately or something? Will this get any better/sweeter with time?
I have been wearing OLO Nationale 6/7 for about five years now which comes in an oil-based roller bottle. I love the smell of it, but it is a little more subtle than I would like my fragrance to be at times. I want something I can spray. The notes for Nationale 6/7 are listed as "JASMINE—LEMON—ROSE—SANDALWOOD."
In high school, I wore Jo Malone White Jasmine and Mint. I haven't smelled it in ages, just wanted to add as a note since it seems there is something I like about a jasmine perfume with a freshness to it.
Almost ordered a sample of Le Labo Jasmin 17 and also tempted by the Regime des Fleurs sampler after I enjoyed a brief smell of Little Flower at a boutique and would love to try it on my skin. No Jasmine there but it does have the floral and citrus combination I seem to lean towards.
What do you think I might find similarly appealing?
I've been looking into oakcha perfumes as I only have the budget for dupes and while reviews are mixed it seems to be decent quality and reliable in Canada, but while browsing their site I noticed that their prices would change mid browse. I've attached screenshots of it happening once dramatically and once minorly - both times prices were decreased, but it doesn't seem like a sale thing because the possible sale price is displayed in another spot. Is it just trying to encourage purchases or is something more scammy going on? Has anyone else experienced this?
Do y'all think Billie Eilish nº1 a safe blind buy? And what are y'alls opinions on it?
I like vanilla sweet scents, I haven't tried many scents, but...
I like Sol De Jaineira 62 but it has something I don't quite like about it
I like the Kay Ali vanilla perfume but it smells a bit too mature for me
I don't like the Sol de Janeiro 68, too floral for me
I'm interested in the new afnan (9pm rebel) and I'm wondering if anyone else on this subreddit has bought it from a good source they could tell me?
I’ve been wanting to try out some “dupe” fragrances for a long time but my problem is that there are no shops around me where I could actually go and try them. I tought about ordering them online and then returning it if I don’t like it but many online shops don’t take them back if they are already opened.
So my question is how do you guys try out different fragrances?
Any other guys like the Flora line so much (Gorgeous Gardenia, Magnolia, Orchid, and Jasmine) you just had to have them all? 😅
There is a specific scent that reminds me so much of my childhood. I have smelled it occasionally on people (artist/hippie types?) and it reminds me of childhood classrooms where we were finger-painting. It's sort of similar to play-doh or maybe like a specific brand of non-toxic paint for kids. Sweet, paper-y, a small hit of incense. I've never smelled it long enough to really be able to place it. Does anyone know the scent I'm talking about?!
Okay I'm going to admit something I'm not really proud of. I bought into a TikTok viral product: the EOS lotions that supposedly smell so nice. They're hard to get in Canada and kind of expensive here, which probably made them even more appealing.
Anyway, I sourced some smaller sizes of the products (so, less pricy) on Amazon. Now that they've arrived and I've tried them, what do I think?
Well, the "vanilla cashmere" lotion is underwhelming. I was told I would smell like a cupcake, but instead it's not as strong as I was hoping and is kind of plastic-y.
On the other hand, "coconut waters" is really nice! My brother commented that he liked my perfume last night and it was really just this lotion. If you like summery scents, coconut forward, you will probably quite like this.
The actual lotion is quite nice, too. It's thick, which I like.
Now are they nice enough to warrant buying the rest of the scents, especially the Christmas ones that I honestly can't find for sale here anywhere? I've probably satiated myself and am onto the next obsessive want. But we'll see.
My signature scent has been discontinued sadly (Armani Code Profumo). I desperately need something similar or better.
I bought Stronger with you intensely, but it’s way too sweet and doesn’t quite work all year round.
Found out they've discontinued this which was one of my daily wear scents due to the licensing ending - I do understand they have 'Clean Suede' now, but based on the reviews and fragrantica notes/accords it doesn't actually seem to be the same fragrance, even if similar. I've already done their sampler set so it's not very worth it for me to order a sample of it to determine that (though I might).
Has anyone sampled both and can confirm they are the same scent or very close? Or any other fragrances that might be close or scratch a similar itch from other brands?
I'm so frustrated I finally saved up for ysl y edp tried some samples and it was fire beast mode finally After eating instant noodles for a month I saved up and I got a 100ml from notino the smell is fine but the longevity and projection are dog poo don't buy it the batch code from 2024 is 38Y401S plz somebody reach out to jeremy fragrances to send me out a new fragrance
Clive Christian fragrances are what got me hooked on perfume! I ended up getting Immortelle, Amberwood, and all three of their travel sets. I absolutely love all of them except X feminine and 1872 masculine.
Other full bottles I own are MFK Oud Satin Mood, Initio Oud for Greatness, Dries van Noten Rock the Myrrh, Electimuss Black Caviar, Byredo 1996, and Maison Crivelli Papyrus Moleculaire.
If you’re a fan of Clive Christian, what other houses do you love?
My wife absolutely loves Vivienne Westwood Boudoir perfume. She has now used the last of it and has found out its been discontinued.
Are there any perfumes that smell similar?
TIA
Posted on the daily thread but didnt get a response probably due to numerous entries.
Very very new to all of this (world?!) and my previous and current rotations are mostly gifts, blindbuys from overseas trips (ross/tj maxx - Azzaro Chrome and Nautica)and random Zara purchases.
I live in a tropical climate country and would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions for perfumes to be used in office setting, city walking, casual lunch/dinner outdoors and occasional to rare night outs.
Below are some of the ones i liked which i've tried thru decants:
Prada L'homme Versace Pour Homme Mont Blanc Starwalker Coach for men Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue Intense - Men Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue Intense - Women (unisex? ) Nautica Voyage Hawas/Hawas ice
Most are cheapies I know 😁 but not eyeing expensively ones (aventus creed price range) just yet.
Leaning towards a 4 - 7 piece rotation. Any ones you would recommend? Other brands perhaps? Which one should i wear to which occasion?
Thanks in advance :)
Hello, I need help! My favorite perfume is the Mango Into the woods, but I can’t order it home to my country.. do you know if it’s a dupe or anything similar to this scent? Help a girl out!🫶🏽
Are old maison margiela fragrances dealt with like other hype fragrance?
I have one with a batchcode from 2016 and the liquid turned into a really deep amber colour.
Just blind bought it and it’s not good at all it’s nothing like what the reviewers say it is like any thing I can do to make sure I didn’t waste money?
Been here since Friday, used VIW everyday so far. Sun Song and MFK been used twice. Haven’t touched L’immensite or Afternoon swim yet.
In search of a woody scented body wash that actually cleanses well. I've tried many from fragrance houses (Le Labo, Penhaligon's, Byredo, Diptyque, etc) and I just don't think they do what I want them to do. Thinking of trying Aesop next but before I do, has anyone found anything good out there? Or even if it's not woody, but something that'll pair well with all the woody fragrances I own. 😜 (I know body wash doesn't linger but it's just a psychological thing for me lol 🤷)
Wow! I've been silently perusing this subreddit and decided to grab a bunch of high end fragrance samples.
I thought I'd love the baccarat rouge 540 but it smells like soap to me.
The gentle fluidity gold smells divine though.
Regular Delina is great.
Delina la rosee smells like something familiar I could find at a regular department store (totally wearable).
My clear winner is the Delina Exclusif. I'm absolutely obsessed with this scent. It's so feminine and delicious. I just feel 100x sexier wearing it even in a sweatshirt and jeans.
Thanks fragrance people! I have a few more to try but I'm just so excited about finding a signature scent. I don't mind investing a bit of $$ since fragrances last so long.
So apparently this is a polarizing fragrance! I had no idea when I read some of the stuff on fragrance reviews talking about wet dog and attic dust and the nothing scent (the nothing part I get because it did take me a minute to start to be able to smell it.)
Somebody left a hilarious review about all of us that can smell it. Playing a prank on the people that can't LOL. Kind of funny like the emperor's new clothes I guess. Kind of funny but anyway is there anybody else with opinions Good or bad about my very first niche perfume that I absolutely love? Anybody?
I'm not talking about the parfumo / fragrantica reviews that are story like but more just in general where people can tell something's got oud in it.
Like I kind of get that, when you eat food you can tell what something is by the smell of it but when people say it's an animalic this or a musky that, how can they possibly tell when it's mixed in with a bunch of other things?
I couldn't even tell you what's in most things beyond "that's nice", "that's woody".
I know it's experience I guess but I've been into fragrances for years, I guess it takes trying individual things like how you'd smell coriander on its own and then recognise it as part of a meal?
I question this seller, it’s not too good to be true, but also the reviews are not all convincing regarding Notion. It is regarding this link: https://www.notino.nl/burberry/my-burberry-eau-de-parfum-voor-vrouwen/
It's one of the first things you learn when you get into fragrances. Let your bottle sit for a few weeks/months before you can truly get the best out of it.
But why don't the fragrance companies just do this on their end, like you would with a wine or whiskey, then sell us the finished product?
I mean it's in their interest for people to enjoy their fragrances from the start. All it takes is one bad sniff after opening the bottle and some people will then avoid that brand forever or at the very least not recommend it to others.

Hello, I can’t seem to find the Phyllis by Pull & Bear fragrance anywhere but it’s my signature scent! So desperate to find it, i think P&B stopped it's production in 2022.
I know it's a dupe of Love Choloé, but i always prefered P&B version.
Someone have an idea of where can i find it please.
