I've come across new accounts that are basically Unreal players. Why haven't Epic stood in and ban those accounts?
Why as a Diamond III player am I getting into lobbies with people who are Unreal/Champion? Don't Epic understanf how broken their matchmaking system is? I should be up against players who are Elite max, Platinum min. But nope. Epic don't care about it's players.

Boardzy mentioned they were banned according to someone who played at the LAN.
Was it used at all at the Global Championship? I think it was banned or something. If so why was it banned? If it's because of SOCD or rapid trigger it doesn't make sense because the guy said in the DMs that it was banned for 2/3 years. Not to mention the Apex Pro already has those features and is allowed on LAN.
Obviously we all know how good Boltz is right now. I was watching his most recent video and it's a wild contrast to Peterbot. Peterbot has very flashy mechs with insane piece. Bolts is a pure fundamentalist. He's not flashy. He just has god tier crosshair placement and executes double edits/double resets at LIGHTNING speed. He's not flicking around and almost always has his crosshair actively on the target the moment he lets go of the edit. It's really enjoyable to watch him play as it doesn't come across as super chaotic, b/c it's so precise.
I recently made a post about how an upgraded pc won't really improve you. Not like the gap from console to pc will. It's quite negligible going from 120 fps to 360 (apart from stacked end games of course). With that said, I recently upgraded my internet. I had spectrum which just had very bad hops and I was getting about 20 to 30 ping in creative and 40 to 50 in game. With my new internet, I'm getting 0 in creative and around 12 in game. BOY OH BOY does this make a difference.
So for a second update. If you're on console, get a PC, it will make the difference even if it's only 120 frames. If you're on PC, don't prioritize upgrading the PC. Do ANYTHING you can to upgrade your internet. The ping difference has DRASTICALLY improved my fighting capabilities and anyone telling you it's equal chance to take wall regardless of ping is lying. Holding and taking is vastly different with lower ping and it's FAR easier to piece people. It literally feels like a cheat. I can only imagine how strong true 0 ping feels as I'm quite far from the servers but have 2gb up and down. Now I know why pros moved for this stuff.
Had to repost cuz i forgot to mention but im talking about ranked Builds reload
I play controller on pc and well I may not be the greatest am not terrible. However I see people daily criticising controller and how keyboard is so much better. Besides mechanics, is controller really as bad as people say?
Anyone know how I can connect my contoller to pc? It's a switch contoller but same layout as xbox. I can't for the life of me get better at kbm I can't build at all and I am way better on controller. Would love to get better at kbm but just can't register what buttons to press fast enough to build.
The amount of players who just camp inside there is insane. There’s always someone there, even when the storm has passed they’re still in there. At this point I shouldn’t even try to go upgrade my weapons. If there’s a way to combat them, please let me know.
I love playing zerobuild reload. its all ive done this season. if there was one thing i would change about it, is that when you respawn..... Everyone starts with a weapon that acts the same on controller and M/K. Everyone spawning in with a GREY AR is not spawning in with the same conditions. if you choose to playing with an aimbot/aim assist your grey AR works better then and gold scar on m/K. that doesn't sound fair does it?
other then that i LOVE it. Hope that we will get a mode like this next seasons aswell <3
It took me 4 months almost 3 months currently 30 oktober 10-30 2024 i finally hit unreal just camp gain 3-2% better than nothing now i will take a very long break from fortnite and focus on my life. :) Peace out.
I just started playing ranked a lot more today so when chapter 6 starts I can switch to ranked more and the first couple of games ended with someone killing me with chainsaw like twice
United Kingdom: 6x
Russia: 6x
Germany: 5x
Austria: 5x
Sweden: 5x
Slovenia: 5x
Poland: 5x
Serbia: 4x
France: 2x

Which country will claim the next crown?
So i went from eor off to on because my edits were kinda slow (especially on double edits down) but i keep pressing edit bind 2 times and messes up my edits. How do i get used to pressing only 1 time asap?
There are a few I've found, let's give each other our secret sauce
"Perfect peeks" or something (honestly I forget the name). I don't know if it was korean, japanese, or anything else, but it was like, a bot punishes you if you do not do the *perfect* peek. It's frustrating and it'll probably make you a monster to deal with
200 Pump Headshots Only. it's kind of messy/a free for all, but the idea is you can pump someone for 185, for 192, 85, and they don't die. you have to get a perfect headshot. apparently a lot of pros use this to warm up
Aim duels apparently? (haven't tried it, but it's widely talked about, not very secret)
Also, this is not a secret sauce, but i'm new to like higher ranks it's my first season even playing ranked. I'm playing jivan's 'beginner' drills and tutorials in his how to piece control map, they're incredibly useful. Shoutout to this map for anyone that's newer to comp
I'm miles behind the current skill level of pro players. Also, I don't really know what the meta is right now, and I don't understand most of the game. I don't know the best POIs, guns I don't know what these medallions are, I'm just clueless about what's going on in the competitive scene nowadays. Any tipps on how to catch up to the pros of today, and could anybody give me an explanation on what the meta is and how the game has changed since then?
So just as the title says, share some of your experience from switching inputs (KBM to controller or controller to KBM... or any other weird devices ya'll use of "optimal binds") this post should be used to share your experiences, advice, and also to find help if your currently, or considering switching.
What was the switch like for you? What kind advice do you have of drills, techniques, or anything else that you feel you benefited from greatly? And how long do you feel it took you after the switch to confidently feel like you could keep up, or even beat your former self. I'll share my experiences below if you care to read!
Me:
I'm currently in my 20's and about 3 weeks ago I made the switch from controller to KBM after playing Controller on and off at a decently high skill level since season 1. I felt as if the unresponsiveness, overall held my back from really reaching my peak potential of play, as some days aiming felt sticky and inconsistent, and the overall delay playing on controller was noticeably worse than that of kbm (Trust me I've tried many programs, pro controllers, etc...). On top of it all, Epic tweaked aim assist so much that I felt as if I had to relearn, and reprogram my sensitivities all of the time in order to have the game feel it's best.
Before reading forward, please know that I am in no one a previously skilled KBM gamer... (I have maybe 50 hours in Valorant, probably a good K/D of like .25 while playing in Iron 3... so you could say I'm quite a bum.
MY ADVICE:
Invest in good hardware:
Starting off, I played WASD, on a Razer orochi. I recently picked up a Keyboard joystick, I bought a Maxxstick S3 Pro (happy to answer anyones questions about this type of product if needed), and let me just say that; if you're someone who struggles to reach keys, or with just movement alone... PLEASE save up $60 and grab one of these. I'm able to rest my fingers on 4 binds in and move half a cm to reach 6-8 more, all while having 360 movement. This means no weird edit angles, no loss of movement, no stretching those fingers to reach a weapon or edit bind.
About a week ago, I picked up a Razer Viper Pro V3. This is basically just a really expensive mouse at about $150 (but the holidays are otw, so if you need a gift request!), but the difference in playing with a super responsive, light weight, smooooooooth mouse instantly doubled the amount of shots I'm hitting, and the control I feel.
I'm not sure about keyboard advice, as I have been a keyboard nerd for a while, so I already had a decent keyboard from higround, which I've modded myself and love a lot.
One of the biggest issues with me was being able to obviously hit buttons as fast as I wanted, but that timing on edits, builds, whatever... that hurt to not get. Take your time learning the correct order of buttons to press, and understand that the process to doing so is wildly different on KBM vs controller. You're going to die to horrid players, you're going to run into walls, you're going whiff shots, get stuck with your blueprints out, and a million other things.
Don't just practice what you're good at because it feels good to be good.
I did this, and I'm still guilty of it. Its insanely easy to edit on KBM over controller, and hitting shots is all the same. I used to get pissed off on controller, because all my friends on KBM would want to do is play boxfights and talk trash when they won... put them in a zonewars, or a PG and it was a different story. Editing walls, shooting, resetting feels great on kbm, but building vertically, and actually fighting is dare I say harder than on controller, due to the number of clicks you have to make to simply swap pieces, and build, then edit, then find your gun, and so on. Freebuilding will be such a great friend to you, so if you have time to just hope in a VC and chat to friends while building around for hours on end... do so.
Remember it's just a game and you're having fun.
Had to throw this in for myself. I get so pissed off losing at video games, that it can turn a whole good day bad. Just do your best, and I can promise you that you will notice improvement every single day you get on the game.
