People always talk about the time constraints thing, but let’s say for a second it just somehow replaced IDWTK (and maybe the outro of GDW was shortened? Idk)
Do you think this would’ve made Rumours even more acclaimed and liked and popular at the time, even though it was already popular? More specifically, like…. maybe look at this at first: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Billboard_200_number-one_albums_of_1977
For example, do people think it would’ve gotten more than 31 weeks? There were two 5-week stretches where it dropped to #2…
Personally, I can’t tell if it really mattered considering it was, to be fair, already a B-side to GYOW. Also, people bought albums back then because of the singles, not deep cuts. Would SS being on Rumours truly have led to a greater acclaim and word of mouth at the time?
Because honestly, I think it being left off actually helped the album in the long run, even if it maybe slightly hurt it at its prime. Now it has this cool internal drama of one of its top 5 songs being left off, and now that song is famous in a way I’m not sure it would’ve been back then? Especially because of the ‘97 performance.
I’m not really sure what the point of this post was…. Just some thoughts.
Hey, I'm wondering if anyone has Christine's complete documentary from 1984. It was aired on MTV in the like the first half of the year and talks about her 1984 self titled album's recording process, featuring interviews and behind the scenes content.
Currently, only a part 1 is available on Youtube, but the second one is blocked on basically all countries because of copyright. These parts were posted on The Ledge forum, but I dont know how to contact the original person. The laserdisc release of the album was also uploaded to YouTube, and while Side one contains the documentary, it seems to be an incomplete, shortened version.
If anyone is able to find it or share it completely, I'd be really grateful. It would not only be great to archive such a gem, but it would help a lot to improve the album's wiki article. Thank you!
Just hanging out taking a poke at Mick while off screen. I mean… people could say the hand holding is for show (even though they’re not even in the clip at this point), but riddle me this… does Stevie really need to be caressing Lindsey’s hand with her thumb? Nope.😏
sound stage, 2005
i keep going back to it trying to see what they were saying after the performance but i can’t figure it out (really bad at lip reading lol)
First time poster in FM, but hope I'm welcomed to pop in!
I was born in 80s, but knew of FM because of my dad and always liked their music enough and knew about some of the history of the band, but have gone down a MAJOR rabbit hole the last few days. I know I can never fully catch-up on everything but I'm trying!
I started watching tour and interview clips from 2013 and I feel like I'm missing something because Lindsey and Stevie seem VERY affectionate, not only physically, but also the way they talk about each other. If I didn't know better, I would think they were back together or in the process of getting back together. Then I remind myself that he was married at the time. I guess I'm just curious as to what the fandom thought was going on when all that was happening. I can assume a lot of it was for show and part of the roles they play, but even in interviews Mick is talking about them finding one another again. It all seems very odd to me...especially knowing what happened a few years later. Any theories?
I'm sure you're all tired of talking about L&S and I know it's #complicated, but I'm a newbie to the drama so hope my question is okay! I tried searching old posts just to make sure I wasn't asking something already addressed.
hi! recently, me and a couple other people from this subreddit made a server for fleetwood mac, it is very active and welcoming with over 100 members! there's no obligation to join of course but if you have an account or would like to create one and you want to have a chat with us we'd be extremely happy to have you!

Not sure if anyone else does this as we all love and listen to music in different ways, but I've had a "Big 4" owing to my personal music inspirations going all the way back to childhood. They are, in no particular order:
George Michael
The Beatles
Fleetwood Mac
Madonna
An honourable mention should probably go to Goldfrapp; but there's no way she'll ever break into my top tier.
I just rediscovered this album recently and was crushed to learn that it is not available on streaming and seems to be out of print in any physical form. There are some bootleg copies available for decent prices online, but legit copies are going for hundreds of dollars. Are any of these bootlegs decent quality? Is a legit copy worth it? Or can I download MP3s somehow so it is more portable?
I’m sure there’s some stuff that I could find by Googling this but was Ken’s involvement with FM limited to Rumours, Tusk and Mirage? If so, what happened that he was no longer involved with them? Also, I believe that Dashut was involved with those albums as well as TITN but not really after that. Anyone know what happened with him?
This performance is over the top on so many levels… I feel like watching this can tell you so much about the individual members of the band.
I was curious when reading about the process of making the album. Stevie was barely in the studio when the album was recorded, so she may not appear a lot in the album.
So my questions is that: Which song on the album did she sing or did not sing on?
Hi everyone, I’ve now added the 25 anniversary CD boxset to my collection! I’ve not listened to it yet, but what are the special tracks that are a part of this boxset? There are alternate tracks - are these different to the ones that featured in the Alternate Collection. Where’s the live version of Stand Back taken from? Are there some extended versions of songs?
I was feeling festive, so got a picture with the tree! 🎄
I've always loved "Landslide" but I can never understand the meaning behind the first verse. Would love to hear interpretations!

As we all know, this December 31st marks the 50th anniversary of that famous meeting between FM and BN that would change their lives - and the music industry - forever. I know that there have been other noteworthy anniversaries but this is a really big one! Do we think that there’s any chance that the date will be commemorated?
I figured it was going to go this way because Ken and his lawyers were ready to cite every single instance in which the Stereophonic script was identical or nearly so to Making Rumours. It would be nice if now Adjmi could finally admit what he did, but he likely won't.
