Then Play On might actually be my favorite Fleetwood Mac album. Not that the other lineups didn't bring something phenomenal, but this album just ticks all the right boxes for me. I love how it stays true to their earlier bluesy sound while taking it in a deeper, much more complex and artistic direction.
Any recommendations for albums with a similar vibe? Would love to dive into more like this.
Tusk is my favorite album. I really don't like Christine's songs that much in this one. I hope I don't get hated on as much as I did in the Rumors songs post haha.
No noteworthy followers yet other than the 4. This is like death by a thousand paper cuts. If they start posting the same kind of crap that they post on LB’s site, I have no interest but what does this mean?!
Hi, I'm thinking about using some of the lyrics to Rhiannon in a tattoo and I'm facing a bit of a problem. That's why I'm looking for the correct, official lyrics for "Rhiannon", as all of them that can be found on the internet are different from each other.
In one half of them it says "she is the darkness" and in the other half it says "she is to darkness"...which really makes a difference.
In the studio and live versions of the song it sounds a little bit like it's "the", but it's never clear enough to say for sure.
Does anyone happen to have the officially released lyrics to accompany an LP or in a book or something?
Thanks in advance :)
Over my head is such an incredible song, and it brings me so much happiness. There’s something magical about it.
Why the disrespect and lack of appreciation?
In my opinion, Future Games
I know we have beat this like a dead horse but I need to think about something besides the election results, ok? 😂. Why the new insta with just them following? What is the long game? I know they are probably done but I am still holding out a glimmer of hope that I will see Lindsey and Stevie do something at the very least. The world is burning down around us, so why not?? 😫
Hi everyone, so I thought that I'd update you on some new additions to my record collection after the amazing response last time. You can find my collection here
So the new additions, in chronological order of purchase...
So, I hear you all asking: what's left to collect?
A few side notes...
I might do another update to my collection if this is received well. Thank you everyone for your help finding odd bits online!
Does a single of the live version of Rhiannon exist? I had a quick look through discogs and only could find the short studio versions. With it being such an iconic live track I hoped there’d be a pressing, but it doesn’t seem so.
I’d love to own any of the live performances of this song on vinyl. Has anyone maybe come across something like that before?
So I see this photo all over Pinterest and based on the hair and her outfit I totally thought this was a 2023 solo show but I can’t find any clips or any other photos from this day. I don’t think it’s Fleetwood Mac show but tbh I’m not sure now. Any info on this?
Just curious what you guys think of the Bob Welch single "I'll Dance Alone"? I find it rather infectious and catchy:
Silly question (that’s really all I have the appetite for these days) but does anyone know what is up with Lindsey and the incessant gum chewing?
I’m somewhat new to the fandom and I’ve been wondering about the relationships between the band members. I feel like I only see people talk about Stevie and Lindsey’s relationship but I wanna know about all the lesser talked about dynamics. What’s the relationship between Mick and Lindsey? John and Lindsey? Stevie and John? Etc.
It seems like Lindsey and Christine were good friends. And it also seems like Stevie and Christine were as close as could be. Best friends. And my gay heart would like to believe they were maybe more than friends but that’s beside the point lol.
Hi. So this song has been talked about to death, but I got obsessed with it as a kid and it just never faded lol
Anyone whose listened to the live versions either by the band or performed by Lindsey himself probably know what I'm talking about when I say after the solo, it pretty consistently turns into a bass and guitar breakdown as the song closes out. A great big finish. It's usually the same riff too & I wanna say they started doing it around 1979/80
I've even listened to no-fade version of the studio version & while it breaks down similarly, it's definitely not the same
I just wanted to know if it's ever been discussed how that came to be or if it's been discussed on here before, I don't think I've ever really seen people talk about it but it's a hell of an earworm. Even if the answer is as simple as "Lindsey was hopped up when he came up with it and just kept it".
The Dance version is my favorite and probably a prime example of what I'm waffling on about. Hyper-specific thing to ask about, but I've always wondered. Thanks!
I almost fainted when I saw this but I clicked on the 'events' but it takes me to the stadium website 😭
I’ve loved this bands hits for many years and I’d like to dig into their discography more, I plan on listening to tusk this week
I'm very familiar with the bands discography, but I'm in the search for other songs with that spacey feel to it like hypnotized. Anything in Bob Welchs solo work that resembles it?
I am looking for the episode of MTV's FANatic that had Stevie Nicks. It is not uploaded on the YouTube or archive websites. I believe it aired in 1998. I am hoping that someone in here may have this show. I think some fans would be interested in seeing this and/or seeing it again. Thanks.
I am looking for the full show of the 1998 Blockbuster Entertainment Awards. Fleetwood Mac's The Dance album was nominated at this show. It is not uploaded on the YouTube or archive websites. I would love to see this. I am hoping someone in here may have this full show. Many great musicians, actors, actresses, films, and television shows were nominated at this event. I have been looking for this show for quite sometime. I would love to see it again. Thanks.
Ive heard Gold Dust Woman is questionable in terms of accurate info and it put me off to it completely
