So can I get some help, me and my wife are playing All the Mods 9 into the sky and the quest book is amazing. My computer is horrible unlike hers and we won't to find a more magic focused or more tech focused mod pack with a similar quest book that doesn't heavy lag 4 year old pcs.
I’ve been playing on a server and a player has never warped out on me before but just in case, are there any ways to counter it? Since they can theoretically just set one down and teleport wherever they want without any way to track the player. The server also has no exp restrictions on waystones too.
So I really want to learn to mod minecraft mostly to make a mod idea I've had for awhile, basically add Disgaea like leveling and have mobs slowly grow stronger as well. My main goal is to see if its possible to make a version that works with other mods. The idea of both items and equipment that increase in power basically none stop sounds fun when mixed with somthing like all the mods or A magic pack.
Hello, I have been having an issue where on all my machines what should happen when holding a wrench happens when my hand is empty, so I need to hold a tool (even the wrench) to even open them. I was hoping there is some easy solution someone might know that I missed.
https://reddit.com/link/1gvfzcz/video/leoutit04z1e1/player
I haven't seen anyone else with this problem, so I'm hoping I can find a solution. Every time I look at a waypoint in-game, it disappears. I can only see waypoints when they are in my "peripheral." I also don't see waypoints when I'm near them. My settings have it so I should see the waypoints all the time unless I use the hotkey to turn them off.
Does anyone know what this is and if it can be fixed? Thank you so much in advance!
Hi, I know that this most asked question, but I need help deciding between Forge or Fabric, I'm getting tired of Forge's immense lag with shaders, and when I used fabric is ran incredibly smoothly with shaders at higher settings. But It makes it harder to mod for me, especially when I have mods like DragN's Livestock Overhaul (which is only on forge) and Bad Mobs (which is also only on forge), hell most of the dweller mods (that are unique and fit with the aesthetic of mc I'm going for) are only on forge. I've been trying to create a nuclear winter survival modlist for the longest time, but this is really starting to drain me, please help!
Is it possible to let each user have a minecraft client on intellij idea with the Code with Me plugin? Currently the minecraft client only runs on the hosts device
Hi y'all, hope this is the right place to ask:
How can I go about load balancing this autocrafting setup ? It currently DOES work, the logic is fine but I want to improve it. (Yes it looks bad right now, it's a WIP machine)
Current setup:
Issue: If batch exceeds 64 items on the input, AE2 pushes 64 items to the first machine then 64 to next machine etc.
Desired behavior: Horizontal load balancing, I want to avoid machines being empty if the batch is not big enough to use all 5.
If possible I would like to use the mods already shown here: AE2, Modern Industrialization and Pneumaticcraft. I will still consider solutions that branch out to other mods.
Thanks 😇
So i was thinking of playing a modpack as a challenge of using superflat as the world gen, any recomendations to try this idea? im trying to not use the skyblocks modpacks because they are made with the idea of the "sinlge block" spawn so they will make the superflat challenge another skyblock but with infinite dirt and villages
So, I'm running a server for my friends, and the modpack we started with was an altered version of BigChadGuys Plus Non-Cobblemon (mostly adding in more Farmer's Delight add-ons and the updated versions of Let's Do Brewery, Candlelight, and Bakery, along with Farm & Charm). One of my friends said that it didn't have enough to do tech wise, and while I can appreciate some tech mods, I hate having a ton of them. We tried out Craftoria and it was FAR too tech-y for me and a few other friends, I went into the caves and found practically no vanilla ore, or any ore for anything other than tech mods, it kind of ruined all my fun, to be honest.
So now we're looking for another modpack to play! I'd love something with Create, the Let's Do series, and some magic mods like Ars Nouveau (spelling?) and Iron's Spells, along with a good amount of farming related mods. With this in mind, we could probably just do an RPG pack, but there is still the friend who wants some tech in the packs, so we need to find something that works for that friend as well.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I noticed that someone else had this same issue, and it turns out that in your CurseForge setup, you might either have a mod extracted from a .jar file or you have corrupted or outdated mods. To resolve this, ensure all your mods are up to date—even though it's a bit of a hassle, it's the simplest fix. Here are the steps to follow:
First Fix:
mods
folder.mods
folder, delete them.Second Fix:
Third Fix:
Create a new folder named cache
.
Run the modpack.
Once it's fully loaded, close it and try to export again.
Fourth Fix:
cache
.Unfortunately, if none of these solutions work, you may need to create a new personal modpack.
Hello! I wanted to see if anyone can point me in the right direction regarding forge-only mods on fabric.
I've used Sinytra Connector on my own forge worlds, and it's been lovely (Namely for small-time mods like valkyrien pirates). However, I can't find something to do the opposite. Namely QuestCraft only supports fabric modloading, and I'd love if anyone knew where I could find a forge-on-fabric sister mod to Sinytra.
I searched around with a couple keywords and couldn't turn up anything, so checking here was my last step. Thanks again.

Disclaimer: This is going to be TL;DR because I'm that kind of autistic that doesn't know what succinct is, lacking the mystical brain module that allows one to know which parts others might find interesting or not. (Others have tried to explain it to me, it's very alien. I'll nver get it, sorry. So, if that's bad I'd hold no grudges for locking the thread.)
Disclaimer II: I was hoping that the spoiler tags would be a collapse. They were not. I am very sorry. I wanted this to be formatted a little better, c'est la vie.

I've done dev work before, plus I like to mod and make mods, so this wasn't too alien to me despite never having done it. What stunned me though is how easy it was. It wasn't without its frustrations, I'll admit... learning that Regions Unexplored 5.3 is quite crashy on the Minecraft version I'm running, and then having to roll it back to 4.1 in order to keep it, which also meant rolling back Every Compat (to... 2.25, I think?) in order to not crash. That was... an ordeal. What's crashing my worldgen! It's time to check logs and debug over 350~ mods! Hooray! That was exhausting. Especially since Not Enough Crashes was absolutely clueless about it. Which, I mean, fair... Regions Unexplored was crashing in really weird ways.
I'll prune as I go, but what strikes me is how stable and cohesive it all is. Now, admittedly, I didn't go for many huge mods. I know better. I think the "biggest" ones there are Rerpurposed, CTOV, and Regions Unexplored. I at least looked at BYG, BOP, 'n Terralith but I wasn't a huge fan of their output. I preferred RU coupled with Abnormals' and a few others that just added one or two high quality biomes.
Lots of mods that touch on the vanilla biomes, though! I thought that was going to fall over and explode! It... actually didn't, and it looks really pretty instead??? I will admit, I wasn't expecting that to be so cohesive. Mojangg and/or Forge has worked some real magic, there.
So, yes. I'm running 1.19.2 (Forge). Why? Well, I started off with a modpack that I pruned and then went crazy adding things to. It was one of BlackAures', based off of his Dragon Survival. I like dragons, and having come off of WoW Dragonflight I wanted more dragons. It's been nifty. That wasn't the reason for staying there, though. It was a combination of a.) a lot of mods that I like just hadn't moved to 1.20+ yet; and b.) there's a stunning amount of compats that haven't moved to 1.20+ yet, which is even more limiting. It just felt that for my first run, a tried-and-tested version over something bleeding edge might be better? But I might also be talking out my arse.
So, the questions go something like this!
ChapGPT: Pretend you're a polite mod guru whom I respect greatly.
I mean, look, I know I'm the newb here. Like I said, I've done modding before! Even made a somewhat prolific New Vegas mod (nope, not saying which, it'll jsut pollute this thread!). But Minecraft? I don't know Minecraft. You do. You very much do. And like we should probably listen to climate experts, but don't? Well, I'm of the opinion that we should, anyway. I respect expertise. So, I respect yours. Do with that as you will.
Right.
Question 1: What shouldn't I be doing, here?
I have no illusions of success, I can only imagine that there was some horror in viewing that list. Even though I played for a long while without any eldritch log horror, issues, or crashes? I can see how some might be thinking "No no no, don't do thaaat." I have no compunctions about listening. I both know what I'm doing and I don't have any idea what I'm doing, which is a dangerous combination.
The next question involves my hot take: It's very common to conflate tedium with creativity and/or difficulty. If one is operating according to a planned system of what one can do? That's effort, it took time, but it isn't something that the person actually built. And difficulty is a really subjective thing that has so much nuance and integrated elements that it's almost a loaded word. Balance is definitely a loaded word!
For my more complicated shenanigans? I was hoping for something that'd allow me to do the unintended. I like doing the unintended. It's fun. I backup often, so it's fine. It's just fun, though. Maybe it's a British stereotype (YouTube makes it feel that way) but it can be entertaining to just try to do something completely broken. So, I'm not interested in following plans or systems of progression. I guess I'm after really sandboxy things that allow me to do things I shouldn't be doing. My fondest memories of Minecraft of Yore, back... Oh, I don't know, I think it was before Survival was even introduced? My favourite memories of that time—which was the last time I played Minecraft—was building increasingly insane minecart railguns to see just how quickly I could crash the server (it's okay, it was my server and the few playing were all involved).
Basically, things that are more: "What happens if I put this doohickey with this felangy? Oh! Um. Hm. ... I'm sure I could find a use for that!"
I think that's everything.
does anyone know any good 1.12.2 mods please send the name and what its about also does anyone have a mod for armour trims in 1.12.2?
Basically what the title says, I made a modpack that contained 50 or so mods, and have been working on a world in it for a few weeks whenever I have spare time for me and a friend. Now it has 90 mods Including all or at least 90% of optimization mods on forge that can work with the modpack. (which is around 10 optimization mods) and today, as I was creating more things for the minigame world, realized that after going around 700~ blocks away from loaded areas, it gets insane ram spikes (10% per 1-2 seconds) that cause it to freeze, and eventually force me to end/crash minecraft. I can't remove most of the mods, and I've also spent quite a while trying to figure out duplicate ID's and changing them, so apart from the optimization mods, I cannot remove much without losing hour/s of work. Allocating more ram also doesn't help as giving it anywhere between 2-31gb of ram still has the same issue (Under 2gb it starts slowing). Below is the modpack and the computer specs are below this paragraph, and there are also other mods/config files added, such as fisks heroes mods I've added into the fisks heroes folder. If anyone knows anything, or has any idea's i'd love to hear them and if anyone wants me to show something like the fisk folder, I'd happily show whats in it.

im currently looking for a mof that will make it so that my held item doesnt darken based off of thr current light level, does anyone have suggestions?
edit:forgot to specify that my modpack uses forge 1.20.1
I want to set up a modded mc world with my own mods, of abt 65 mods, 1.20.1, 47.3.12 forge. I admit i have never done a server before and all the videos are really confusing? G Portal in general is. I can see they have modpacks, but i want to use a custom one.
Anyone know how to mod gportal? Or have a good video to follow?
I know there isn't an official mod for twilight forest 1.20.1 fabric but I was wondering if anyone has gotten the forge version working through api mods or the 1.19.2 fabric version working on 1.20.1.
If it hasn't been done what are some other mods that add dimensions that are compatible with 1.20.1 Fabric.
I want to play hardcore with a constant feel of danger
Thank you for all the help in my questions, i have finally released the first version of my modpack
Sorry its only for 1.19.2 some mods i used on it are inly for that version
I'll try to get as much realeases and versions as i can.
Thank you again and enjoy
I like the auto crafting of AE2, where if you want a complex item it'll craft the components of it as well in order to complete the craft.
But AE2 is really complex and the theme doesn't fit in with most packs. Is there any other mod with auto crafting like it?
Hi! I was playing this Modpack which had the Origins mod, and th Origins mod used to have an progression which was called something like Trader or so, which allowed you to trade a villager and its stocks would never run out (so you could trade a full inv of carrots with out waiting him to restock). However, now that profession was removed and I'm looking for a mod that does that. Any one knows of a mod that changes this behaviour?
I stumbled on completely opposite to my post (where author wanted to get rid of animations), i want opposite effect. Why so — because on my little private server players don't like gameplay changes that comes with Better combat, so any way to configure it to work more like vanilla or turn off hitbox damage completely?
Are there any mad scientist-esque mods that allows you to do dangerous experiments? How about summoning rituals?
Any good RPG mod pack ? And can be played Multiplayerp
Weird contration (leftover from create interactive?)
Blocks on the left of the chunk do not work, the ones on the right work perfectly
After removing Create Interactive from my game, I noticed that a bunch of my machines weren't working. They were all only in one specific chunk, and the blocks won't update unless I'm constantly holding or clicking on a block right next to it. This wasn't happening before I added Create Interactive (It has now been removed, although I don't know if this bug was present during Create Interactive being there.) Has anyone seen this before? Thanks!
