/r/EvoGames
A subreddit designated for many forum-based evolution games. Check in and watch these creatures evolve at the hands of anybody who participates!
Welcome to the EvoGames Subreddit!
Here you will find collaborative worldbuilding experiments in which players alter various species created by users in order to depict evolution in action. While these games may be based on actual science, this is all speculative evolution.
Anyone can start a game or play along! However, in order to prevent overwhelming everybody with a ton of these games, we would very much appreciate if you wouldn't post any games once we have five of them already going.

Do you feel like making an evogame but without the pressure to not fully commit to it?
On NanEvo all evogame ideas can be done, no matter how gimicky or dumb, experimenting with what works and what doesn't.
I hope you enjoy your stay and have fun evolving!

Project: Drevia is a medium-spec evo game run on a discord server which focuses on the transition to land and what comes after. The game involves creating and evolving the terrestrial environments via voting on region channels, evolving plants and animals, and being limited to your regions. Players are divided up by continents and can only evolve and see their continents. Right now there's only one super continent however once it splits apart, players will be split into 2 teams and will not be able to interact.
Right now the game is around a few weeks old without much activity.

Greetings evolution gamers! I am the programming director for the project known as "Evagents", a computer program meant to simulate and evolve "agents" in a world with resources, dangers, and a variety of traits and utilities available for the agents to live, reproduce, and pass on their "genetic" information to the next generation.
They utilize a basic neural network consisting of "boxes" that take inputs from sensors, process them with a variety of possible connections, and output a resulting behavior sequence that not only can change over time for a single individual, but via mutations to those individuals for an entire species. You can instead completely override a selected agent's wheels with the "WSAD" keys and control their behavior!
Admittedly the gaming potential of the sim is greater than what currently exists, and in a way that's why it needs help from followers of this sub, so that we can design a better gaming element to it. But if you like simulation games anyway, this is right up your alley! I hope you can join us for discussion, idea brainstorming, and save-sharing over at /r/Evagents!
This subreddit is dead, but, if someone sees it, I'm inviting you to Sapience! At first, you need to create your world. It can be a planet or a moon. After that, you will create your initial species. It can be either a LUCA or a group of simple initial species (they can be multicellular, but still need to be very basic, like just a few cells). Finally, you will start to evolve your species, eventually reaching Sapience! After that, it will become a CivGame, where you will eventually reach the stars and contact other empires. Good luck!

Just like the title said. Theres this new Evogame in the quest board of /qst/ and I just want to ask you all to try it out and have fun in there. Im not the QM, but just a rogue player that think more activity and fresh ideas wont hurt anybody and would be exciting to play.
I've seen some evogames you had in here, and what I can say is that the game on the other side of the fence is more lax, but some posters seemed to really know what they are doing, so its a mix and match of different takes, but its just entertaining regardless.
Well, here's the link if you want to jump in. Its still the first thread, so things arent really complex to join in. http://boards.4chan.org/qst/thread/911768
and here's the latest phylogeny chart from yesterday to get you some ideas http://i.imgur.com/kbK4AdR.png
Thanks! Peace out!
Hello all. You may not know or remember me, but I created these games. I would like to take a moment to request you participate in a new game with me. It's called the no-description game. It's purely visual, as no description is required when adding a new creature. The evolution tree I'm going to post is what I have made myself and with a few other players. The rules are extremely simple:
Edit a creature (or draw one inspired by another).
Place on the evolution tree.
That's it. There are no exterminations, die-outs, or any silly unnecessary things needed. You also can edit anything you want. The original creature, a transitional creature - whatever!
Let's have fun!
I've been wanting to use the Evo method to create my setting. Problem is I been wanting to use a rpg pen and paper system to go with it. But I'm not sure what system could work with the evolution method of creature creation.
Is there an rpg system that can work with this method? For example: DnD, Pathfinder, Fate, or any others?
I read the description, no idea what it's about. Can anyone fill me in? :)
I am the so-called creator of the evolution game. Though I'm sure it has been done before. I started a very small community over on voat and would love if you would help get things off the ground.

Thank you for loving this little game. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
So, I really hope this isn't against the rules. If it is, please notify me and I'll take it down!
So, I just stumbled upon this board, and sadly enough it seems to be quite inactive. Yet I frequent 4chan's /qst/ board, a recently created board dedicated to quests and games, including 4chan's local Evo Games. Luckily enough, /qst/ is a pretty slow board, allowing threads to go without replies for about three days before they are finally purged. And they have an archive as well! /qst/ is a blue board, meaning there's no NSFW stuff allowed (although you might encounter the occasional dick shaped creature, and the board culture is warm and hospitable, mainly because there's not that many users.
Rules are a little different there, as well as the art style. Usually, 4chan's evo games do not involve an actual simulation of the environment, but only extinction events with pauses in between in which a creature can be modified in any way. The art style is more cartoony, opposed to the sprite-y style used here.
I'm glad to say I sort of pioneered Evo Quests on the board, which originally came from /tg/. I created the Shallow Waters evo game, a wildly succesfull one that just began with a new set of creatures, and soon others followed.
These are the Evo games online at the time I posted this (11-6-2016). http://boards.4chan.org/qst/thread/246544/ http://boards.4chan.org/qst/thread/236272/ http://boards.4chan.org/qst/thread/235030/ http://boards.4chan.org/qst/thread/241205/ http://boards.4chan.org/qst/thread/226141/ http://boards.4chan.org/qst/thread/223473/
If you see this a long time after I posted it, you can always just type Evo in the search bar and find some, but keep in mind some of them could also be "Civ Evo" games. You'll see what I mean when you do it.
Anyways, check them out and have fun!
