Has the game low key been discontinued, receiving no further development? Has there been any official comments on the state of the game?
The old cards looked way cooler and it makes me upset bc I can't buy those versions
I've been playing EPIC for a little while now with my little brother. It took us some time to get down the rules but I think we understand now. We started because MtG looked expensive, hard, and like the games took forever. We are getting to a point that we are gonna need to buy an expansion pack or we are probably gonna start getting bored. I was looking at them online and I'm a little confused, can I just buy all the cards in an expansion pack anywhere or do I have to buy a bunch of mystery sleeves and shit like a pokemon card?
Also my brother and I have just been playing one on one with randomized decks. Should we start drafting decks instead? does this make it more fun and how long does this usually take? Also does the game get better if we played with more people (we tried it once with our sister and cousin but it took a long time to teach and at the time we weren't very good so we stopped) and if so where can I find said people?
I had a creature attacking, and another creature was declared as blocker.
I used Spore Beast to remove blocker from being blocker. Shouldn't my attack have gone through?
Also another ruling: I had "Tribute or (Ally)" ability. I used Hybrid (0 cost card with 1 cost draw 2 replacement effect) I paid the 1. My Ally ability didn't trigger.
What gives?
Finally why can I not use "No battles can be fought this turn" in response to a tribute? It seems I'm only allowed to respond to attack declaration or beginning of main phase 2?
Anyone know where i can find a proxying option? Game is unavailable where i live but id like to play.
I've just started playing (mashing two colors out of the box) but I've come from M:tG and I was wondering how much there are synergies? For example in Magic, WU fliers or BRG sacrifice are common achitypes. Does Epic have that. Or are their constructed meta decks online where I can get a sense of what to aim for when making a deck (in draft or constructed).
I dont know why this game its so underrated, i think its so good, sorry about my english, i speak in spanish
I had a citadel scholar and It was at 6/7. I was blocked by 2 demons at 8/8. I was going to use a "insert generic draw 2 card event here" card before damage assigning but the computer didn't let me. After declare blockers step, I should be able to use events, right?
I haven’t played epic or star realms yet, but I’m interested in both and have been looking stuff up online to learn how to play. From what I can understand, these are two different types of games. Star Realms is more of a legitimate deck builder, whereas epic gives you the tools to play sealed, draft and constructed games (I just learned these terms while researching how to play epic).
My point is, is that idk if it makes sense to say one is worse than the other since they are different enough to not be able to really compare. What do you guys think?
I just bought epic and am looking forward to learning how to play. I have never played MTG or YuGiOh before, so I don’t have that previous understanding to work off of. How are token cards different from regular champions?
I've seen this happen rwice now where in one single turn, the AI has presented two separate attacking collectives. And blocker step happens twice, once for each. What's that all about? Can you attack with multiprocessor different parties? How in the app?
I'm playing the game app on my phone and that blitzing 12/14 wurm blocked my flyers who attacked with a non flyer, and killed my flyer. Is this a bug, or if I attack with champions, does the inclusion of one non airborne render airborne useless?
Also, followup question... did the game skimp out on letting you order blockers or is there like a lowest defense blocks first kind of rule?
Found these resin 'binary coins' on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/CureLightWorlds) A quick paint job later and I think they make pretty nice gold markers.
I only got into the game recently, and my friends and I are loving playing different draft styles. I've even already picked up a handful of expansions.
That being said, I understand what game I am playing. This is not Magic and Wise Wizard Games is not Wizards of the Coast. It's a smaller game and I don't expect to be able to play forever. I was curious, what is the support like these days? Is the game fully dead except for the community, or does wize wizard still make an expansion every few years? I tried to figure things out by checking the website, but the documentation is lacking. Anyone know if Epic is still supported?
Hello everyone, I was wondering if the cards differ between the two sets. I see the 2015 version has 120 cards and plays up to 4 players. Beyond the physical number, are there any unique cards in either or both of the sets that are not in the other set? I'm getting Epic Card Game (2015) and I'm wondering if it is necessary to get Duels as well. (Ie. If there are any new cards)
???
Hey Folks,
I recently received a very large collection of Epic CCG cards and I'd like to build a few decks and give away the rest to save on space. Can anyone suggest some links/tutorials on how to build decks?
I'm happy to hear advice too.
I just ran across it and it looks like it might be interesting to the gf and I to play. Where should we start, do they still sell it new, should we buy used? Should we buy it at all?
How about the online version I saw in the Apple store?
Thanks!
On the rules for the Gods and Goddesses it states At the end of turn -} you may spend 1. If you do, gain 1 at the start of the next players turn.
I don't understand this. You get more gold to spend then the elder gods which are supposed to be better cards? If you don't spend it you don't get 1 during your opponents turn? Could someone clarify this for me?
Can you target your own champion to prepare it/give it blitz so a champion can attack twice?
The card reads: Gain control of target champion this turn. Prepare it. It has blitz this turn.
Im returning to Epic after buying 3 copies of the original box years ago, however there seems to be a lot of different options and add ons since. is there a list of available products somewhere that would make it easy to see what I can buy? Are there any Epic products that are recommended for someone who only has the base set?
Also, does anyone have any other similar "wizard duel" style games (besides Magic) that they can recommend?
Getting back to ECG after quitting.
Holy hell did I miss this game. Man uts so underrated.
The app ai campaign missions on hard won't go into the dinosaur level on Android it freezes on a never ending load screen. Has anyone got a fix for that?
So does Grudge happen only when a card breaks right? Banish & Return to hand wouldn't trigger it right?
Can living idea ( a sage creature in one of the lost tribes sets) target itself to always return to your hand whenever it is sent to the discard?
So, it's my opponent's turn and initiative has been passed to me. At that point I know can play "fast" cards (events and champions with ambush). But can I recall a card with the recall keyword to my hand when I have initiative on my opponent's turn? Does that question make sense?
I currently own the base game and enjoy it immensely. But, which of the expansion sets/boosters are worth investing in next? I don't see myself playing competitively or doing a lot of deep deck construction, so a singleton format is fine.
Thanks!
Example:
P1 declares attacker P2 declares blocker that has enough dmg to break the attacker
Can P1 play events that would for example grant the attacking champ unbreakable status thus saving it?
Me and my two friends played a 3 player ffa last night. Everything seemed pretty balanced but we took notice how you barely never get to use loyalties since all the 4 decks are shuffled together and 30 cards dealt to each player. It was pretty rare to have 3 cards of the same type. How do you guys work around this?
So I've played a lot of magic (for fun but in any competitions) same with Epic. I realized I have the same problem with both. I don't know how to build a proper deck (luckily Epic is a bit more straight forward but still).
Can anyone give me some advice on epic deck building.
Could you suggest or provide a deck list for some fun decks. I played a lot of blue based decks in magic because of the control mechanics.
For digital, how does "upload deck" work?
Love this game, I am playing since the beginning. But find it hard to find a good life counter app for iOS. I was suffering for 5 yeas and finally made one myself. It is completely free and made with love for card games in heart. Enjoy 🥰
Will be glad to hear your feedback on this
