Any changes we can make to our Wi-Fi router to give off less EMF?

Besides, lowering the signal strength, I’m wondering if things like a single SSID versus a split band putting 5 and 2.4ghx on different bands has any difference in putting off less EMF?

Is this a safe distance from radio tower?

https://preview.redd.it/u6wl86t4vp0e1.png?width=1210&format=png&auto=webp&s=43bdf5cba6b79426fc491938602753455084a63c

My SO and I are looking to buy a property that is approximately 368,89m away from a radio tower. We are worried about the exposure to EMF from the tower.

This is the only informations I could find about the tower itself.

BB60c Spectrum Analyzer

Hi,

I’m trying to use the BB60c spectrum analyzer by signal hound to locate radio frequencies reaching my home from another country.

This is the spectrum analyzer below:

https://signalhound.com/products/bb60c/

If one uses a directional antenna, such as this one below:

https://signaltronics.eu/product/rohde-and-schwarz-he200/

and potentially a GPS, is there a way this can be achieved? Basically, can I identify and trace where a radio frequency signal is coming from? From thousands of miles away?

If yes, how precise can the location be?

Thanks, timatuu

What might cause this meter reading?

In my bedroom, behind a wall (not near outlet). I’ve been feeling constantly sick/lethargic and wonder if this is a problem? Can this be explained logically?

RIVAINE : Electromagnetics - R&D

Hey guys. I have been developing a Technology startup RIVAINE, for some time, regarding electromagnetic and robotics. I would love to discuss the current project with this community, and ask you guys for feedback, opinions, and suggestions moving along.

Quick Description of RIVAINE: Our levitating furniture utilizes electromagnetic levitation technology to hover above the floor, creating a unique and futuristic seating experience. By combining modern electromagnets, hall effect sensors, AI-controlled optical sensors, and advanced circuitry, we offer a product that redefines comfort and aesthetics in the furniture industry.

I am currently in search of a proper R&D Team Leader, who shares my passion for cool, and innovative tech. Feel free to ask more about the startup and I will describe.

The Tech simplified design. Base with electromagnets and components. Levitating natural magnets - Stabilized.

The Tech Simplified pt2. Here you can see the basics of how it works. Similarly to already existing levitating gadgets, the natural magnet will be kept in levitation above the platform using magnetic energy. The difference is the full set up of electromagnets, all directly linked to a microcontroller - AI control system. Using hall effect, and optics sensors for input, the AI control board will react in real time to any movement on the levitated object, and stabilize it immediately. Directly connected to power, the tech will be powerful enough to hold a heavy object (chair with person on it) 40 - 60 cm in stable levitation above the floor.

Airtube earphones & making calls safely

I was curious about Airtube earphones, I've seen a lot of conflicting information and curious to gain insight on the subject.

It's intriguing how some Airtube earphones have magnets and for me, that's an instant fail. I realise the metal jack to plug in the earphones could also be counter productive... although where the Airtube begins is where the harmful EMF is reduced to a safer level. Either way, keen to gain insight on the subject

e.g. What would be the safest way of making calls without using the speaker function? e.g. would bluetooth headsets still cause issues but less than Airtubes

 Thank you & much appreciated!

Effects of headphones with wire AND bluetooth? Tinnitus, sleep, mental health, etc

https://www.reddit.com/r/Electromagnetics/wiki/index/#wiki_bluetooth

As a strategy to facilitate falling asleep & avoid being overstimulated by society's noise - which can fry my tender brain quite quickly - I bought headphones with good noise cancelling. They can be used wireless (bluetooth), but the wire can also be attached optionally. (Sony WH-1000X M3) I have a multilayered curiosity of using these and effects on my health. I'm curious if I can use this device in an acceptably safe way, or if I better get rid of it.

  1. I often use these headphones. For the noise cancelling however, the bluetooth must be switched on. I do not let the BT connect to my phone, but it is searching the whole time while this is on. Does BT searching give the full effects of BT, or is it minimized / absent? What is your experience?

1+) Would this use mean the effects are more that of wired, or wireless BT headphones? Or both?

  1. I have tinnitus, and see wired headphones are related to that. It seems to have intensified recently. Does anyone draw connections between tinnitus and headphones from experience / research?

  2. I am a very sensitive sleeper, if I use no sleeping strategies, depending on the situation, it may be very hard for me to fall asleep. I have developed certain strategies. I often use wired earbuds connected to my (airplane mode) phone, playing background noise (pink+brown+white noise from youtube). That can drown out sounds that could keep me up. In case I need more, I use my Sony headphones, put noisecancelling (and so BT searching) on, AND the white noise. Sometimes I even add earplugs under that if I'm forced to be in loud environments in daily life, lol. What ill effects could this have? I only let the noise play for about 1 hour, but the earplugs / headphones are in all night. Does using white noise from wired earbuds/headphones from an airplane mode phone cause concern over quality of sleep, tinnitus, mental health?

Being careful and recently concerned over sleep health and tinnitus, I've stopped using this last strategy. But the tinnitus can be loud, delaying sleep, and hearing any noise can keep me up. I'm intent to land on the most healthy strategy for sleeping, and will greatly appreciate all help. I also use these frequently for loud environments in daily life, and so also want to decide if this is a good option or best avoided. I also frequently use them in the car to listen to podcasts.

To those who use EMF clothing/caps/etc, Do EMF clothing or cap actually work?

I am thinking of buying some protective wear, like a cap or beanie. I have done my research and as such I will not be buying a stupid sticker for my phone or a pendant that helps keep the emf away. But I do know that EMF is a thing. I truly appreciate the help.

EMF Protection/Minimizer (Android App)

Hey everyone,

I only learned about the dangers of EMF about a year ago. I still have a lot to learn and to optimize, so forgive me if the information I'm giving here might not be entirely correct:

I learned from a friend of mine that (often) EMF-Cases will increase radiation because the phone has to try even harder to connect. The best way to reduce EMF is to completely shut down your phone; the second-best is to enable airplane mode.

So many of us might still be dependent on our phones; that's why I developed EMF Protection. Tbh, it doesn't protect you from EMF, but it reduces your exposure to it by automatically enabling the airplane mode when you turn off your phone. You can also schedule the airplane mode to be disabled every so-and-so minutes, so you will still be notified from time to time.

It's BETA and only my second ever app I programmed*, so please provide feedback! I'll be happy to give the full version for exchange!

Kind regards,
Jonas

*the first being iChooseTo, an app that helps you get rid of your phone addiction by helping you to make conscious decisions instead of solely blocking you.

Solar Generators, primarily Jackery with additional information to make it easy to compare brands and models

microwavedalt asked that I submit information about the research I did that led me to buy a particular Jackery solar generator model.

In my case, I wanted the only system they sell capable of generating 240v because my well pump is 240v.

Note that you have a choice whether you want to wire your solar generator into your breaker panel or keep it separate and simply plug in what you want to power directly into the generator.

By doing that, you don't have to worry about adding to any EMF on your wiring.

I saved my notes, various models, and most importantly a video review comparing brands and models. That review also includes a spreadsheet making it easy to compare the capabilities of various brands and models.

I'm not sure of the proper Redditquette, so if this isn't proper it is unintentional.

Go to benable.com/GrowMap/solar-generators to see all my notes. Note that this particular solar generator is mentioned as generating a very clean sine wave in the video review.
