This is an archive of gifs I have created and submitted around reddit, mostly to /r/reactiongifs and /r/HighQualityGifs.
Thanks to /u/theNYEHHH for the amazing header image.
I'm leaving the above tutorial links up, but if you're just starting out making gifs, I recommend checking out the sidebar of /r/HighQualityGifs. You'll find a ton of good tips and tutorial videos. These tips were good four years ago and they still work, but they're a little outdated.
I get a ton of gif requests, so I don't have time for most of them. Don't feel bad if I don't reply to your request—it's not personal. I'll always answer PMs with gif-making questions though, so learn to make your own gifs! That's what I always wanted this sub to be about.
Time settings under each frame in Photoshop should usually be 0.04. I think this is default, but I've had it change on me a few times.
Make sure you use a good, readable font. I use Univers or a similar font. And don't forget to add Stroke or Drop Shadow to make your font readable.
Adding text in Photoshop might take some practice. It's not as simple as it should be. I use After Effects for text. AE is much better for text once you learn how to use it.
The more movement you have in your gif, the larger the file size.
If needed, you can set Dither to 99% and Lossy to no more than 12. Also experiment with other settings on the Save for Web screen in Photoshop.

Hey! I don't post in here much anymore as you can see, but hope you're all doing great!
Just realized it's been almost a year since I posted here. Anybody still around? lol
Been a while, haha
Hi everyone!
Next weekend is the Extra Life 24-hour gaming marathon to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Just like I have for the past seven years, I'll be playing for my local nonprofit hospital, Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. 100% of your contributions go directly to the hospital.
Will you consider donating if you are able? Any amount helps. These kids and their families need our support—especially this year!
Thank you!
