I thought I would put together an old Templar I had sitting around. It happens to be an orc and was my favorite character to play around with a couple years ago.
I’m currently running rallying cry and essence thief on it with zaan and sea serpents. I tried a few duels with it, it hits hard but the sustain is horrible and I’m not even a vampire. I’ve seen a couple of builds running vamp which I wouldn’t mind but I can only imagine the sustain being worse.
I’ve seen people also use olorime, deadly, and acuity but I thought to try essence thief first to see. My second choice would prob be deadly to see if I notice a difference but I need some help before I craft anything.
I don’t see me using this in BGs at all, I just wanted a fun, hard hitting, and survivable duel build. Any feedback would be appreciated :)
Hey guys, I would love some help with this in case I am missing something really obvious.
I'll use my Nightblade for example.
One bar build:
5pc Order's Wrath
5pc Pillar of Nirn
1pc Slimecraw
1 Oakensoul Ring
5 med / 2 light
Weapons are gold, armor/jewelry is purple.
Skills:
Bloodthirst
Twisted Path
Barbed Trap
Merciless Resolve
Killer's Blade
Incapacitating Strike
With this build, I will hit about 45k - 50k dps on a 21m dummy. I am using Bloodthirst cause I am soloing content, just like the passive heals.
Now, if I use the exact same gear, except removing Oakensoul Ring for Ring of the Pale Order and then use these skills:
Front Bar:
Bloodthirst
Twisted Path
Barbed Trap
Merciless Resolve
Camo Hunter (for major prophecy/savagery while using spammable/merciless resolve)
Incapacitating Strikes
Back Back:
Drain Power
Cleave
Dark Shade
Debilitate
Leeching Strikes
Soul Tether
This two bar build in consistently only doing 35k-40k damage despite the fact I am adding the Cleave, Dark Shadow and Debilitate DoTs.
I still have Major Brutality/Sorcery and Major Savagery/Prophecy from Drain Power and Camo Hunter, so I have the biggest buffs Oakensoul gives.
My weaving isn't bad, and I keep DoTs up alright. I don't know why I do less DPS on the 2 bar build even though I am adding more DoTs. Everyone says 2 bar builds are supposed to do way more dmg.
As a side note, is 40k - 50k dps okay for the gear/build I am using? I have no idea how people are pushing over 100k dps...
Help me out!

This build says Hurricane procs off balance. I tried on a parsing dummy and it did not proc off balance. Is there something I am missing regarding this build? I have the same exact gear and skills setup.
Hey all, Just want to know your point of view on what's currently the BIS sets for Magsorc, some say different kind of things Wretched, Crafty, Draugrkin and etc. although I believe having Wretched could be a waste since its a whole 5 piece just for sustain what do you all think?
I’m trying to put together a build, a healer, that passively heals a friend (or group) while we do damage to enemies. I know you can consider HoT as passive, but I want to focus on lifesteal.
I’ll be playing a Templar, using the restoration staff and Oakensoul ring, so it will be one-bar.
This build will be used only for playing with friends and normal daily dungeons, not veteran endgame content
Sets I am considering:
Spell Power Cure (this doesn’t fit the theme, but It’s a good healer set)
Call of the Undertaker (5 piece bonus provides lifesteal, which fits the theme)
Possible Spells:
Combat Prayer (Burst heal)
Radiating Regeneration (HoT)
Force Siphon (Lifesteal)
Blood altar (Lifesteal)
Jabs (Damage)
Blazing Spear (Damage, synergies)
Am I missing any Sets or spells that could possibly fit this theme? What would be good CPs to slot? Is this a dumb build idea?
I still want to do decent heals when running random daily’s, but I think this could be a fun build playing with buddies.
Thanks!
I've been browsing different builds on sorcerer and cannot seem to decide where to go with my character. I've looked at builds from Hack the Minotaur, Lucky Ghost, AlcastHQ, and Xynode Gaming. Here are some links if you want to take a look.
I am mainly interested in pets, sustain, and higher damage. I plan on either going with a dark elf or a khajiit.

I’m thinking of running torc ww on a sorc. Should I run the stuff so heavy chest everything else medium and a light belt with Dw maces?
Just need some advise on where to begin
Hello! I played a Breton Magicka DPS Necromancer and a Necromancer Tank on Xbox, and since I've transfered to PC recently, I was looking to create another. Just wondering, are Stamina DPS / or Healer Necromancers any fun? Thanks.
Hi, I'm really struggling(skill issues) with my night blade magika PvP build.
I'm currently running these sets: 5 pieces rallying cry, wretched vitality and oakensoul mythic. I only have 400 champions points but I'm hitting 4.7k attack and 10k penetration. I am using a ice staff, could that be the issue?
I hit really low in the cp cyrodil. I keep facing players with 35k hp and I can only hit them for 3k. Even when I sneak and crit them, it seems they just heal and counter. The fights go on forever.
Am I missing something? I remember sneaking, using my ult and hitting huge damage.
Thanks for any guidance
I have 2 Sorcs at about level 20s and I noticed this weird thing. The 2 characters are almost identical in their skill set: I'm using 2 pets + daedric pray + boundless storm/hurricane. The only difference is the Mag char use Crystal Fragment and the Stam char use Bloodthirst as spammable. Somehow when looking at the combat metric addon (%dmg boss dmg in dungeons), the StamSorc contributed significantly more than MagSorc. I usually get about 50-60% for StamSorc and only 20-30 for MagSorc.
Am I doing anything wrong with the MagSorc or is this a temporary thing when leveling? I personally suspect there is something to do with Crystal Fragment cause that skill feel so clunky to use.
Does anyone have a suggestion for this? I have a Kitty Nightblade level 20 that I'd like to use.
I’m making a stam sorc using the new mythic. Can’t decide between wrecking blow/D-Swing
Haunting curse/Crystal Frag/Crystal weapon Any advise on what people are having succes with skill wise?
Front bar skills
D-Swing/Wrecking blow Reverse slash Curse/frags/Crystal weapon not sure Ball of lighting Camo Hunter
Back bar Crit surge Vigor Darkdeal Hurricane Hardened Ward(considering just slotting flare for major prot.)
So I've looked up several builds
I've come up with this
Head chudan med divines Shoulder chudan med impen Chest trainee heavy reinforced Hands wretched Vitality light impen Waist crafty alfiq light impen Legs medium wretched divines Shoes crafty alfiq light impen Neck death dealers Ring wretched Ring crafty Lightning crafty sharpened crusher Frost crafty Infused weapon damage Or a mix of the armor pieces keeping crafty up all the time and wretched back bar With chudan for major resolve Should this be ok?
Does anyone have a good imperial dragon knight build that’s good for pve and solo stuff that’s also is bit tanky and has good spa
Looking for a DW One bar solo stam templar?
Having a hard time choosing which skills to use except for jabs ofc
Any advice for the best still bar for 1 bar?
Hi so I've been investing time into starting a pvp build for my necromancer so I looked on yt and I found some people just grouping the enemies all together I have no idea what that ability is or if it's a monster set etc I really need help finding it thank you very much
Can or does anyone want to share how much damage the status effects add on.
Example using absorb stamina enchant.. let’s say it deals 2k damage when it procs for the enchantment damage..
How much damage would the sundered effect additionally add on top of the glyph damage enchant add not to include minor breach and the extra weapon damage provided by the effect..
My two choices are between the absorb stamina glyph or poison glyph.. I’m also on a sorc.. so I’m curious how much the poison damage glyphs dot damage would also be and for any other glyphs if anyone has the numbers.
Again not asking for the damage for the enchantment but asking how much does the status effect itself do when it says does instant damage or proc damage which of course I’m sure depends on the scaling of your mag/stam and weapon/spell damage.
Thanks guys.
Looking for a one bar Frost staff tank build for arcanist and necro. What would be the best set up for both
Hello! I’m a fairly new player who finds ESO’s microtransactions a bit overwhelming and want to become a werewolf without buying it. Would anyone be able to help and bite my character? If so I’d appreciate it!
Anyone know if any sets that focus on pen and armour? Looking to try something using a 4 Pce set haha, thanks!
Hi everyone, I just dont find a solution to the healing on my sorcerer in PVP BG , i tried using the matriarch , dark conversion/deal and vigor ,when the matriach is dead or I cast dark conversion which takes alot of time to cast is almost an instant death or I feel liking im just spamming those to keep me alive rather than damaging ennemies. Whereas I see other magsorc they just dont loose that much health or they regenerate like CRAZY I dont understand how ?how do they get their heal done? We only got 4 skills to heal anyways which are the 3 mentioned above and hardened ward . However hardened ward in battleground seems to give just a small shield thats why I dont use it. Im really looking for your ideas and thoughts.
Here is my build : -High elf -64points on mag -Stage 3 vamp -Food: bewitched sugar skulls -Mundus: the lover -Sets: Oaken Soul(infused/spell+mag recovery) head:Balorgh (Light: imp/mag) Rallying cry : 2 jewelry(swift/spell+mag recovery) + sash(imp/mag) + lighting Staff(sharpened/flame) Shattered Fate : heavy on armor(reinforced/mag), the rest medium(imp/mag)
Skills:streak/twilight matriarch/crystal fragments/dark conversion/vigor Ult:energy overload
What 2h weapon to use on back bar in pvp and what trait? Axe , great sword or maul? I use dw front bar.
Hi, I'm a newbie and I've come across this build by Hack The Minotaur: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJ2wogJ9TuA
Is this still viable to solo contents?
I don't like using Hardened Ward and I wanted a build that anyone can play. I use one piece of Slimecraw, 5 Alessian, 5 Orgnum's Scale (Lightning Staves counting as 2), and either the Ring of Pale Order or the Oakensoul Ring depending on the situation (sometimes I join Guildies in a Trial or Raid).
For skills I use Unstable Wall of Elements, Necrotic Orb, Boundless Storm (I like the 3 second speed boost also), Summon Volatile Familiar, Critical Surge and Greater Storm Atronach on my main bar. My 2nd bar I use for buffs or trying out new skill combos when wearing the Ring of Pale Order
I get a little confused by Champion Points but my slotted are; Warfare – Thaumaturge, Biting Aura, Wrathful Strike and undecided on the fourth, Fitness – Fortified, Boundless Vitality, Rejuvenation and undecided on the fourth.
I activate all the skills and then heavy attack to replenish my magicka. I just keep all 5 skills active when fighting and activate the Storm Atronach when available.
Any other suggestions would be great
(TLDR at bottom)
Hey y'all.
So, I've done a lot of stuff in the past while to perfect my tank for PvP so I'm unkillable, and I'm still having trouble with some things.
At first my main pvp tank was a arcanist running crimson twilight, oakensoul (to not worry about buff uptime) and livewire. I could survive like 3 or 4 good pvpers. Not bad but meh. Then, it changed into a classic necro permablock. I could handle a couple more people, but still die often enough to realize I'm doing something wrong.
What do I do to improve?
I want to make a """"""immortal"""""" (in the heaviest air quotes because there's no such thing in cyrodiil) tank, to be able to gank full zergs until they all give up or more of my buds comes and kills them. I don't have a nightblade, warden, or templar. So if I need to make one of those to be a big beefy bastard, alrighty.
I'm sorry if I didn't explain well, but I hope I did. If you have any questions to help me figure out what to do, that would be lovely. Thanks!
TLDR: me no want die. Me want best tank. Me thank you.
Edit: forgot to say, my permablock uses cyrodiil's crest, battalion defender, and Oakensoul again.
Hello everyone, I am currently looking for a decent one bar werewolf build (Class is irrelevant, it's mainly for rping purposes but I also want something that has potential to do vMa and other solo/arena Challenges).
Found this and was wondering it there is anything better
Thanks!
What’s everyone running lately. I’m doing the wretched, crafty, chudan , death dealer. It’s cool but curious on other builds. And everyone’s thoughts on Breton vs high elf. Also if running charged trait or sharpened
Are there any one shot mechanics in vet dsa? I'm also curious if It can be done without a tank
I'm going to set up my necro khajit with rallying cry weapons and jewelry on the front bar. Clever Alchemist armor on the back bar. I'm going to use a 2pc Balorgh monster set. Do you think this will be a good start to PVP?
I am a grand master Crafter level and CP1570
Im trying to do vet vateshran for the first time on my arcanist and Im gonna be honest its going terrible, and I was hoping of anyone would have a solo (onebar) build that could actually get me through the dungeon.
