A. No harassment, doxxing, trolling, etc. While we try to let most conversations play out and try not to pull the trigger immediately, if any user crosses the line into any sort of name calling we will initiate mutes and bans as necessary.
B. Since this is a sports sub, no raiding or swarming other subreddits. While it's really easy to go into an opponent's sub and be completely disrespectful and trash that team's fans, this will not be tolerated. It makes this sub look bad and it makes the Ducks fan base and community as a whole look bad. While we won't pursue another subreddit, if we find out we will take the necessary actions.
With that said, we mods have not had to lay a ban hammer down in any real capacity in the time this sub has existed. Sure we've banned the trolls and the absolute worst of the worst. Moving forward we will be setting bans on people who violate the rules set forth. It will be gradual:
A day
A week
A month
Lifetime
If you are banned we will give an explanation as to why.
If you see something that breaks one of these rules, please report it. We try and be active in the subreddit, but we can't catch everything by ourselves. Reporting makes it easy to see issues on computer and mobile.
1. Descriptive Titles
If you are posting a linked article Reddit has an option to autofill the title, if it does not work then copy and paste, if the title is clickbait then change the title.
Oregon's official YouTube has decided to title everything with a quote, if you wish to change it that's up to you.
Please flair all posts as accurately as possible as well. With the dual existence of both old and new reddit they may not all work properly, but we are continually working to adjust.
2. General Submissions
Low effort and low quality posts will be removed.
If a thread gets out of hand we will lock the thread or delete it.
3. Premium Content
Sites like ScoopDuck, The Athletic, 247, Rivals, ESPN, and On3 all offer premium content, from articles to forums and sometimes. The general rule on articles has been not to post, because they are behind a paywall and not everyone can access that content. For the time being, if a premium link is posted:
A) the poster needs to make it clear it's behind a paywall
B) Any copy and pasting from the article will get that comment deleted
C) Screenshots from premium forums or articles will be deleted.
These are services that people pay for and others make their living off of. If this becomes a problem then we will address it in the future.
4. Rumors
Rumors are part of the sports world, we completely understand this, but we want to set guidelines on how we will handle them moving forward. We ask that reliable or certified sources are used. These are mainly members of the media, like Stewart Mandel, Bruce Feldman, Tyler Agler, etc or those seemingly inside the program, like Justin Hopkins, or Andrew Nemec. If you start a rumor thread and your source is a screenshot of a user on Facebook we will remove it.
5. Recruiting Posts
We live in the magical age of the Lanning, Graves, Altman recruiting juggernaut era. We have seen a massive rise in the last couple years of high star commits and we want to make sure we are using the service for posts, where applicable.
247 covers both football and basketball ball ranks and stars on players. When making a title make sure you include the Players name, their position, and their star ranking. In the body of the post please include their 247 profile and their commitment announcement, such as Twitter.
Women's sports are a little different and don't have the depth that make sports do. We ask that whenever you post a female recruits commitment you try and get as close as you can to the males.
On big days like NSD we will make a mega thread.
6. Weekly Threads as it relates to football
During the week we will sticky a discussion thread or article almost every day.
Monday will be a post game discussion
Tuesday will be /u/hythloday1 post game breakdown
Wednesday will be a prediction thread
Thursday/Friday will be when /u/hythloday1 previews article/thread.
Saturday we will have a game thread, and after the game we will make a post game reaction thread. This is where we want you guys and gals to throw your chairs against the walls or jump on your beds in joy. But remain respectful and mindful of your fellow users. This means that during the game and after no additional posts will be allowed (unless its a link to a specific highlight).
Sunday will more than likely be any interviews that happen.
Please note that any posts that would better fit one of these megathread will be deleted.
As we get closer to men's & women's basketball and major spring sports we will revisit the best way to handle these same threads as they play more games more often.
7. Posts related to selling tickets are not allowed
There are better places to conduct financial transactions involving hundreds or thousands of dollars than this subreddit. These posts will be removed.

Any ducks heading to Madison for the game this weekend?
Hi y’all! My dad and I are taking the trip up to Madison this week for the Ducks game and are super excited. Was wondering if there are any meetups or hangouts going on for Ducks fans in the area that we can join in on (and bring some beer!). This will be our first Ducks game in awhile that we have the opportunity to attend so we want to make the most of it. Any recommendations would be great. Thank you! Go Ducks!
Ugh. I can’t just be happy for a few minutes

Once a Duck - Always a Duck
OREGON. Defeated Maryland 39-18. Is still undefeated, and demonstrably the best team in the country. Did all of the following nonsense on just one drive of regulation American football.
We have no definitive data on this. But numbers never stopped anyone from making confident assertions before, so here goes: By employing a 295 lb defensive end, one lineman at 310 lbs and another at 315, the Ducks used the heaviest set of ball carriers employed on one drive in the history of college football. Throw in the running back and wide receiver on the series, and we’re conservatively looking at well over a half-ton of football mass.
P.S. Oregon did all of this recklessness to snap their offense out of a mid game slump. If Oregon’s even remotely in danger, remember: You, too, are also in danger.
Any word on why he sat most of the second half?
Please help 🙏🏼 I know they haven’t announced it yet, but any helpful predictions would be highly appreciated!!

I'm guessing Rose Bowl in the quarterfinals but after that how would it be determined if we went to the Orange or Cotton Bowl? Looking into buying tickets to Dallas if we play in the Cotton
This is pretty much a lock, right?
Indiana born and raised. No affiliation to UO whatsoever tbh. Just fell in love with the fast and flashy style of football the Ducks play about 15 years ago as a kid and haven't looked back since.
I'm staring down the barrel of being able to go to my first Ducks game ever, given I live very close to Lucas Oil. Could have gone to see them play Purdue, but I wanna spend my time and money watching them play a REAL team lol.
I just know that after IU vs OSU, tickets are going to skyrocket, and either way, the green and yellow faithful are going to be outnumbered like hell with Lucas Oil's proximity to IU and OSU.
I love the idea of being "behind enemy lines", and I'll do my best to be the loudest one in the building.

First come first serve, free
Basically since Oregon is at 10 wins the worst they could finish is 10-2, even though I think it’s very unlikely they’ll lose to both Wisconsin and Washington. With that being said, I feel like they would still get in at 10-2, seeing how a good amount of 2 loss teams will make the playoff this year, and the wins over Ohio state and Boise state are very good wins.
Edit: Here is a link where the athletic talks about if Oregon can “clinch” a playoff spot with a win vs Maryland https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5902140/2024/11/06/college-football-playoff-rankings-mike-gundy-lincoln-riley/?utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=twhq&source=twitterhq
"...the Ducks are clearly the best team in the country and if they keep their foot on the pedal, they'll remain on top"
Edit. I’m headed to the Rose Bowl and Atlanta for Natty. I truly believe this is the year.
Edit 2. That best team quote was changed. lol. Of course ESPN!!
How can the ducks defeat and lose at the same time
Is it just me or does it seem like it’s happening several times a game each week and it’s sometimes affecting Dillion’s rhythm? It’s only a matter of time before he launches one out of reach, hoping he’s able to clean that up.
Going for two on the regular. Fake punts in our own territory with the lead. Surprise onside kicks blasted at the opposition. 12 men on the field. This is classic Bellotti/Kelly Oregon football mindset. It hasn’t bit them in the butt yet, and it likely will at some point, but we gotta keep the foot on the gas at all times no matter what.
Was curious about what y'all think was the reason(s) for DG's lowest number of pass yards in this Maryland game?
I only watched the second half and it felt like he had a lot less time to get the ball out due to a poor O-Line, and the play calling was not doing the passing game any favors either.
But I feel like maybe I'm missing something about the low production?
Idk call me crazy, sco ducks, 10-0 babay!
So during the Coming Home song the crowd has a part where we all yell ‘HEY’ twice during the chorus and I feel like swapping those with a ‘GO’ and then a ‘DUCKS’ would be a lot cooler. I know the heys are written into the song but since it’s an in game thing I feel like we could take some liberties. Go Ducks?
