I was considering buying a Range Rover Vogue or sport for around 150-200k and mostly saw US and Canadian specs for this price. would you guys recommend I buy it or look at some other options?
Salam brothers,
I have a 2021 X4M competition and I cracked rims when hitting a curb at high speeds. Agency gave me quote of 8900 for 1 rim... While BMW dealerships in USA are giving 1300$... Crazy how agencies here charge so much more. Anyhow, I've sourced one and I want to ship it to Dubai, what's the best company you recommend? Weight is baout 20kgs.
I am using Nexen tyres for my Lexus ISF 250 AWD. What may be the reason for uneven surface in front tires after running it for almost 7000 kms. Tyres were slighly unaligned after checking the alignment. Is the uneven surface caused due to misalignment or usual in lexus.
Hi,
I just purchased a used 2023 Mercedes EQS and am a little confused about the charging equipment. The car comes with a Type 2 to Type 2 cable which is for connecting to public chargers and no other cable. The used car dealer is pretty clueless about EVs and says that I have to either get a Mercedes Wallbox or wall socket to Type 2 cable from the Mercedes agency directly. My question is:
I see plenty of third party cables on Amazon that are a fraction of the Mercedes branded Type 2 to 3 pin wall socket cables. Would it be okay to use those for my car? Would I be damaging the battery or voiding the warranty?
The wall box costs AED8,000+ electrician fees and there are several other non-Mercedes branded home charging stations for a lot less, including the Tesla wall connector which costs AED2,300. Would it matter what kind of home charger I have and would the Tesla one work too?
Is there any long term issue with battery life like overheating if I primarily use the wall socket for charging instead of the charging station? My work has free electricity (electricity credit from solar PV system) so am planning on charging as much as I can from there instead of home.
Thanks
Please let me know if oil and engine light is ok to be on before engine start.
TIA
Hey guys, I need some advice. I am in the market for a Montero Sport for my wife. It's basic, big for highway driving and good for minor over landing. However, I'm in a conundrum. Habtoor is selling me a "new" top spec 2023 model for 115,900 and I found a very clean 2020 model with 65k on the Odo for 81k. This sounds trivial as I type my query tbh, but I'm a little confused. The wife is saying 5 years is too old of we want to keep the car for a few years as our own while I think 35k is a pretty chunk of change. What should we do? TIA!
Hi everyone, I recently bought a car from a seller, the car was under hayaza. The seller did the transfer directly online from the RTA website. I got the sales agreement and confirmation from RTA that vehicle is under my name. It’s also showing under possessed vehicles. But I didn’t get hayaza copy, the car had no plate before so now I need either hayaza/vcc or plate number to get insurance quote.
How can I sort it out? When I called RTA they were clueless and when I tried to apply from the app it gave me error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as car is sitting without a plate
I'm considering buying a 2013-2016 range rover for 45k-50k and upgrading it to a 2023 model (exterior and interior) that will cost me 65k
Anything I should consider before I do it or things to look for?
I'm looking to buy a challenger from ajman or sharjah and went and saw them , and I'm looking at the vin number and seeing the damages . From your experience how much fcked will I be if I bought one of these cars and how can I avoid being financially rped , how can I choose the right vehicle I just want a v6 not even a hellcat or anything special my budget is around 50k with some flexibility, does anyone know a dealership their that has some kind of consciousness or someone who will test it and tell me exactly what to expect , I'm not a car guy but I love the look of the challenger and it will be my first car purchase I just need some realistic guidence. Pic for attention
Want to sell my Toyota Corolla 2019 1.6 SE. Got it from Toyota pre-owned with 74k odo in 2021 with full Al Futtaim service history then. Currently the odo is 111k. I have full service history since 74k to 111k but its been mostly ADNOC/ENOC for oil changes every 10k and major service at 100k at Al Nahda Garage. Tires and battery were replaced in July 2024. Have receipts for all the services.
What is the reasonable price I can seek in the current market?
What were your highlights? Mine were the 300SL Gullwing and the Aston Martin Valkyrie. Absolutely loved seeing them in the flesh ❤️
So theres an evaporator leak as confirmed by 2 garages on my 2017 jeep wrangler. And so far from what ive come across the OEM which is costing 2k while after market is 500 . But everyone warns that aftermarket is not cold enough for dubai summer. So i decided to check with the scarp shop and he quoted me 700 for OEM but ofc used.
Is it a good idea to get the used OEM ?
Hi Petrol Heads, I am currently in the process of selling a 2007 Honda Accord, GCC spec in a cream color which has been driven over 300K KMs.
It was listed for sale online and I received a lot of interest. Finally, I agreed to let it go for AED 7K. Now this is where it gets kind of amusing/confusing - the car has issues, as is expected of a car that old and well driven. The same was disclosed to the buyer and they were okay with it. We take the car to the testing center and it fails testing. At this point I figured the buyer may back out which is frankly, understandable. However, instead the buyer became all the more interested and even gave me a small deposit to reserve the car.
I am so confused by whatever is going on here. Why would someone be so keen on buying a well used car with known long term issues?
Any insights from your experience or know how would be helpful to gain some perspective here. Thank you!
Help me where can i get these orignal rims from at an affordable rate thanks
My wife's car died while we were away and I can't open it with the fob or physical key. It's a 2016 VW Toureg (2.0l petrol).
Does anyone know how I might open it?
We’re stuck in the sand, can someone come for a rescue if nearby. The location:

Hello Petrol heads! I am thinking of buying a used Harley from the US from a website like https://www.cycletrader.com/ and import to Dubai. Reason why is because I get the impression they are cheaper and there is more variety. (Please correct/advise me if I am wrong or if there's a better idea).
Any ideas on how to do that and who can help me with all the procedures? e.g. buying it from there, shipping, customs..etc.
Hey everyone,
I need some help diagnosing an issue with my 2012 VW Touareg. While driving, my car suddenly misfired on cylinders 1, 2, and 3, then shut off and wouldn’t start again. I had it towed to a garage, and when the mechanic tried to start it, it started but with misfiring and vibrations. Did computer check it shows 3 cylinders missfire 1,2,3.
What’s Been Checked So Far:
✅ Coils & Spark Plugs – changed not luck same error ✅ Injectors – Cleaned and tested; working fine. ✅ Fuel Pump – Fuel is flowing properly. ✅ Fuses – All checked and good.
The Issue:
Even after verifying the above, the misfire is still there.
Cylinders 1, 2, and 3 misfire consistently.
Car vibrates badly when running.
I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions on what else to check before diving into expensive repairs. Has anyone experienced something similar? Thanks in advance!
