Hey yall! Im going through my driving lessons (manual) right now and Im hoping to get my driver’s license by march. I wanna know what are some good options for a first manual car!
My budget is 40k dhs max, I’m preferably looking for a sedan but coupes, hatchbacks and (not so bloated) suvs are in my liking.
I’m looking for something fun and good on the highway as my daily commute will be from Ajman to Dubai. And relatively good fuel consumption too! Nothing prius gas mileage lol, just like under 20L/100KM.
I’d prefer if it’s something I can work on and get my hands dirty with and I do plan on modifying but not something hardcore, mainly planning on like an exhaust and radiator etc (oem+ stuff essentially).
I already have some options in mind like the first gen lexus is300, the ford focus st, the volkswagen golf, the lc100 landcruiser (bit of a stretch) but I’d love to hear your guys’ suggestions! I’d love to clarify any questions and many thanks!
This will be my first ever car and I want a compact family SUV. I’ve had the test drive for both and I enjoyed the Tiguan much more from a driver’s perspective. The Territory feels much bigger though. They’re both around the same price. I’m leaning more towards the Tiguan because its VW and the engine and transmission are very reliable. What do you people think? Which one should I go for?
So I'm looking for a new or used SUV for under 250k AED and have the following requirements
• Decent offroad capabilities
• Reliable and low maintenance
• Respectable - will primarily be a family car that I can take to work or events with the Mrs.
• Decent resale value
• Three rows with 7-8 seats
• Max 3 years old with less than 50k kms
I'm leaving towards a used 2022 TT LC300 GXR but I have some concerns with the TT motor's reliability and how stripped down it feels compared to other cars for 250k.
Of course there's the Patrol, but that's too ancient and the new one is too expensive.
Next is a used Yukon Denali, but then resale and questionable reliablilty are an issue.
Or I could let go of the offroad capabilities and get a used X7 or Q7. But then the maintenance on those gets nuts.
Any advice?
Hello Everyone!
Looking for some options where I can buy a brand new car from a dealership with zero downpayment options. Most popular brands and Chinese are giving 20%. Suggestions would be helpful as I'm not looking for secondhand after the flooding incident.
Hello everyone. After much deliberation, I have finally zeroed in on the car I want to buy. All things considered, the Nissan pathfinder seems to fit my bill in every way. It looks good, has a refined NA engine, is well equipped and well built. I’m looking at the top end 2WD SV variant. My 2 main concerns are 1) does Nissan hold its value for resale 2) ownership experience with Nissan with regards to reliability, service and maintenance costs. I know it’s not a Toyota but it’s Japanese. I was earlier considering European brands but I think Japanese makes the most sense here. I plan to keep the car for long term at least 5 years. However, 1-2 yr old pathfinders online have lost about 20-30k AED off their value which makes them an even bigger value proposition. So does a used pathfinder make more sense than a new one? Also, there is a used low mileage 2023 Infiniti QX 60 which is the luxury variant of the pathfinder which is available for pretty much the same amount as a new pathfinder. Is it worth considering ? Any advice / inputs are appreciated. Thank you.
TLDR - Buying a New Vs old pathfinder/QX 60 (1-2 yr old max). Reliability and maintenance costs for the same.
Hi lovely people! I have an opportunity to buy Lincoln Corsair 2023 base trim, very low mileage and brand new like condition- it will cost me 2.4 kaed per month (5 y) with 10k down payment. Is it a good option?
Pros I found

So u really like the tank 300 however I haven't seen it much on the road. There's not a major difference in the spec however the T2 is AED 150k approx whil e the GWM is around 130k. What do u guys think
A friend of mine has recently commenced employment in Dubai. He is in the market for a budget-friendly, new automobile. The vehicle's size and optional features are of secondary importance. The primary requirement is a reliable mode of transportation for commuting between work and home.
Help me choose one from this
2 maintenance 3 driving experience
Jaguar F Type
Looking to buy a cheap'ish sports car for weekend use. Budget of around 70k - what do you all think of Jaguar F Type. They sound and look great. Other options could be 370Z or Cayman.
Have a 2017 Camry as my daily. It's been a good daily but I've recently been going with some of my mates to the desert and want to bring my own car as we've been going regularly for like 5 months now.
I want to sell the Camry and get a 4x4.
Want to get something with 4 seats minimum, ideally fuel efficient, automatic, and decent reliability.
Will be paying cash and most likely looking at dubizzle/facebook marketplace.
Thanks!
Since the market is so saturated, I’ve noticed that used Mazdas (especially Mazda6s) and Nissans (Altimas) have depreciated a lot. I can’t figure out why. Mazdas, in particular, are known to be super reliable cars, as far as I’ve heard. I know someone who works at Galadari, and they’ve mentioned that they get very few repair requests for Mazdas.
For Mazdas, I’ve heard one theory: a lot of rental car companies use Mazda6s, which might explain the depreciation. But I’m not sure about Altimas.
What do you guys think?
Hi everyone I'm searching for all choices in the range 65-75k AED to buy a new car I found a lot of people recommending Mitsubishi ASX 2024
Is there any other choices? And what are your thoughts about ASX?
I need a good car for small family with less maintenance cost or spare parts.
Thanks for your help
For a single guy in his mid twenties, driving mostly in a city, with a budget of 160k~, I’m torn between getting a Tesla Model 3 (I live in a private villa) or Jetour T2. I’d love some advice for what would be the wiser choice, pros and cons of each, as well as any opinions on the matter.
I would also welcome any other car recommendations you think might be good for me to consider at that price range, given it’s unused.
Is buying this a good idea? Also what’s the fair price I should pay for this? Any service and major expenses I should be wary of?
I really want a performance sedan but budget is constrained. Checked for the ELANTRA N but they didn’t have a test drive car, wary of spending 150k on a car I don’t even test drive. My budget is 100-125k ideally (can extend a little, but needless to say- the lower the better). Shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg in Maintainence ( I know this sentence doesn’t correlate with the picture I posted, but I’ve heard new gen BMWs are much better - though I’m not an expert).
Any other recommendations would be really helpful.
Hi all
I've been trying to do the research but not really getting any concrete info between the two. Some articles are mentioning an exterior update, suspension improvement, and interior tech upgrade?
I'm in the market for the Ford Ranger Raptor, and local used dealers have both model years available with about a 40,000 AED price difference.
Any key differences between the 2023 vs 2024 Ranger Raptor?
I’m seeing a lotta suggestions about Lexus IS series cars over similarly priced other newer cars. I know Lexus is the king. But what about the US and Japanese models tho? Great many listings with those specs.
Hi everyone,
I'm torn between the Hyundai Tucson 2025 and the Kia Sportage L 2025. I visited both the Kia and Hyundai showrooms to check out the two cars. Can you help me decide which one to choose?
The base model price for the Hyundai Tucson is AED 96,000 with a 2.0L engine, while the Kia Sportage L 2025 is priced at AED 98,000 with a 1.5T engine.
What I like about the Hyundai Tucson is its elegant interior, especially the infotainment system, which I find superior to Kia's. The Kia's infotainment system is a bit off-putting due to the icon colors (pink or violet).
On the other hand, I prefer the Kia Sportage L's cooler exterior look, better 1.5T engine, and larger size compared to the Hyundai.
Hi All,
Looking for guidance. I'm planning to buy a 7 seater and confused which one to buy. I need a car which has got decent features and less maintanenace for atleast next 10 years. Inclined towards Highlander because of hybrid version and they are providing 4 years service free. But not comfortable with 3rd row and prefer Pathfinder or Teramont for this reason. Also please there would be any significant depreciation for Hybrid cars. Any recommendations or something I'm missing out? Thanks in advance.
I’ve been considering upgrading my current car (3.8L Pajero) and I find myself keep coming back to the Land Cruiser, Defender and now the new Patrol.
What are the pros and cons of each, and which would you for for? Also curious about which trim level you think is worth getting?
One concern I have about the Defender is reliability, especially given the harsh conditions. But there seem to be so many of them around that it makes me wonder if this is not an issue?
Grateful for any recommendations!
Hi, lovely people! Need to get a car, have no idea and need someone's help. Don't be to harsh guys :-D
About me - a complete noob in cars, never owned one personally, but have some driving experience.
Requirements for the car - SUV, not too compact; new or as fresh as possible; problem free at least for the first year; parking sensors and rear view camera; preferably seats with lumbar support.
Financials - 2-2.5K per month, I am ready both for lease and buy options but would like to go with a minimum down payment. BTW, I think I will get 5% discount in Al Futtaim.
Options considered so far - Toyota RAV4 (found it surprisingly not spacious inside), Honda H/Z/C-RV, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tuscon, Pegeout 5008.
Please suggest the right car and the right way to get it.
Hi guys, I’m looking for my first car I turn 18 soon and I wanted opinions on which one’s better considering all factors Ik the coolray is a crossover and the Empow is a sedan but they both seem to be pretty similar, I’d love to hear about experiences with both cars and reliability
Can get both for around 110k AED.. Which one should I go for?
Any other similar cars no more than 110k, and no older than 2020 I should look at instead?
What is the average maintenance cost of a mini cooper standard. Is it a good car to buy in the Middle East. I live in Qatar and have been eyeing a mini cooper but not sure about the maintenance.
Considering trading my current car in for a 2021 Supra with around 5k kilometers on it. Would love a quick overview on your experience with it and what the service/insurance costs are on average. Thanks in advance
Thinking of buying 'Mitsubishi Pajero' or 'Toyota Land Cruiser'.
Please help me Which one is better in terms of cost of fuel, mileage, maintanence (very important), and overall cost of ownership.
Any other pointers you deem helpful are also appreciated.
