Dog damaged maple(?) flooring

We are about to move out of our apartment that has what appears to be maple flooring? Tell me if I'm wrong about that. Our dog did a bit of damage to it. Some is only noticeable when lit. Wondering what people would recommend for this, or of it has to be completely sanded down and re-done. Clearly we know nothing about wood flooring. Trying desperately to keep our deposit!

Hardwood zoomies!

They are best friends, no aggression for anyone who is worried.
