Art Week 2024

Hey guys. A lot of people hate on mana but it’s going back to the moon whether you like it or not.

Very curious since the price drop, semi loss of publicity,etc?

Asking because I am not sure. Can I just use ETH to directly buy NFT on the platform? And if not, why not? (as it's a decentralized platform on the ETH BC)?

(I am not a player, this is for research purposes).

I lost access to an Eth wallet holding my MANA and LAND years ago, I dealt with support for a while, and followed a thread on the forum..tried in the discord but got scam DMs... Does anyone know if LAND recovery is available yet? I have all proofs of course. Any help or reply will be appreciated! Thanks

EDIT: I lost access to the ETH wallet due to signed in with meta mask years ago.. kept key on the drive too and the drive got water damaged and could not recover.. hence i don't have the backup codes or keys.. I was a noob at the time

A New Era of Metaverse Accessibility

Decentraland, driven by a strong community spirit and decentralized, open-source principles, aims to boost user creativity. The ‘Protocol Squad’ — backed by DAO funding — leads efforts to integrate various game engines, fostering innovation and growing the platform.

Since September 2023, the team has been prioritizing two main goals: launching the Metaverse on mobile (App Store and Play Store) with the game engine ‘Godot’, and enhancing the desktop experience using ‘Bevy’.

Godot’s integration with XR headsets provides seamless compatibility, enabling browser access and improved mobile accessibility, while also enhancing voice-supported social interactions and meeting experiences.

Bevy, on the flip side, is a forward-looking project that focuses on building robust foundations, emphasizing extensibility, and harnessing promising open-source frameworks.

Bevy’s alignment with the Godot initiative is notable, as both engines effectively integrate ‘Rust’, a programming language known for its performance and safety features.

The Squad’s innovative approach aligns well with the Foundation’s goal of delivering an easily accessible product by 2024. Together, they are improving the Decentraland mobile and VR capabilities, crafting a more open and versatile Metaverse for users globally.

After researching various alternative engines, the Protocol Squad has settled on developing a Decentraland mobile client in the open-source engine Godot and a desktop client in another open-source engine, Bevy. Combined with the new Desktop Client being developed in Unity by the Foundation, Decentraland’s future is well-secured by capitalizing on its open protocol and having multiple engines ready to run the Explorer in the long term.
