I know it's still all up in the air, but I'm curious about speculations. Would it be similar to Ian with the flooding? They keep mentioning the west coast as it would make landfall there, but what could we expect in our area?
Was watching TV the other day and saw Mike Chitwood in some comercials for local businesses. This just did not sit right with me. I'm not saying anything is going on. I just believe the local Sheriff should be impartial and not show favoritism to anybody or anything. I also had questions like, Did he get paid for this? Was this filmed during working hours? Do these companies have any contracts with the state or county etc. Again I'm not saying or accusing him of anything illegal. It just seems like a conflict of interest to me and a waste of his time when we have so many more important issues to handle in this town. Maybe I'm wrong here idk wanted to know what others thought.
Posting in this sub because I don’t know many locals who don’t vote and yet the turnout is still maxed at about %70. Interested in hearing from the %30.
Hi, just moved here about two months ago. Also just got dumped✌🏼 I’m looking for some chill parks or trails to walk and reconnect. I’ve been to Tomeka, but the entry fee was a little annoying. I like the beach sometimes, but I’m looking for some greenery… I’ll even settle for a field I can just lay in lol. Let me know!

Checked out its store closing sale this morning. Here’s what I learned:
Anyone have any suggestions for public lakes or rivers within like 100 miles of the daytona beach area? The crowds and beach can get tiring sometimes. More worried about parasites than alligators. Thanks!
Taken Saturday September 14, 2024 from the pier with a Canon SX740 HS.
Hello! As the title says, I’m considering moving from Orlando to the Daytona Beach or Ormond Beach area in a few months. The housing is so much cheaper out there and seems better quality. Usually beach cities are expensive, so I almost feel like there has to be a catch. Would you recommend living there? What areas should I stay away from? Is it safe there for someone who’s living alone?

My lease is up soon and the owner is going to sell the house. I have an eviction from 5 years ago that's all paid off, stable income of about $3500/mo after taxes. Current landlord will provide a good reference, I've never been late or given him any trouble.
Definitely running low on options because nobody wants to rent to someone with an eviction, understandably, but I still need a place to live regardless of the past.
Looking for a 2 bedroom because I have a son thats with me a few days a week. If anyone knows of landlords that work with people I'd really appreciate it.
Sea dipp resort. Has anyone rented with a 6month lease at the sea dip. Of so what was your experience
Hello all, might be moving here. I’m looking for the nicest neighborhood that has apartment buildings and/or townhouses in Daytona Beach. Can be up to a 30 minute radius just something nice and secure. Price is not an issue and I PREFER to be more “isolated” and away from the tourism, truck stuff, etc. can anyone point me in the right direction? Luxury, quiet, serene, comfort, suburbia, etc .
Edit: newer developments welcome!
me and my friends have a couple pit bikes i was wondering if im able to ride them on the beach in daytona FL if anyone knows please lmk
Is there any tattoo artists on here? Or can anyone recommend me any good artists in the Daytona and or in the Volusia vicinity? I'm trying to get some cover ups and I already have some ideas, so I'll like to discuss it and figure something out.
Which thanks in advance for all your help and advice!
Hey everyone. I'm planning to move to Daytona Beach for college. How dangerous is there? I'm going to stay at my college dormitory for two years and another two years in a rental. Is there a actually good place to live? Thanks for helps!
Looking to relocate to Daytona Beach looking for weekly rates at hotels that are affordable. I have a job lined up down there making 24 per hour and also looking for comfort and breathing room to do things loacally.
I left Daytona in December of 2009, but I am trying to remember the name of an indoor playground that was on International Speedway (Volusia Avenue) and then there was another one out where the old drive in turned flea market was on Nova Road (it was across the street from the old drive-in/flea market) - shopping center area - I can't remember the names, but I do know that they were 2 diff companies/names

Why are people panic buying all the gas???? Yes it's a major hurricane, but we are getting minor levels compared to those in the path. You DONT NEED 100 gallons of gas for this storm. Put some in your car and another 5-10 for a generator. 5 gas stations I went to were OUT yesterday and today. No reason to be out.
Hey everyone, I’m new to Daytona. I’m looking for football fields or fields of any sort to workout and train on. Is there any you guys know of?
