How am I supposed to cock this back? It doesn’t have a groove for a cocking rope. (Horton Hunter Supreme)

Any ideas?

This is the wife's first shot with her crossbow. Any ideas on getting it out other than brute force? I tried that already. 22" bolt with a field point on it.

Picking up Excalibur Micro Extreme. What arrows and broadheads to get?

Hello, confused Canadian here! I'm picking up a used Excalibur Micro Extreme tomorrow. I'm new to bows and curious about what kind of setup you guys recommend. What grain for arrow and broadhead? Arrow length? What broadheads do you recommend for small game and deer?

Thank you!

Excalibur RevX out of windage adjustment

I have a new Rev X with the Overwatch scope. It runs out of windage adjustment and at 20!yards I am still ll 3” from point of aim. I have flipped the rings and even tried different rings. Same result. Bow is very accurate and adjustments made on the scope track well. I have contacted excalibur and waiting on a reply. Any suggestions on what to try? Could it be the rail is crooked? Also the rubber coating is coming off the arrow keeper spring after 8 shots.

New Crossbow Issue

I got my new TenPoint Titan M1 and as I went and used the Accudraw to cock the bow, the string came off the left cam. Really frustrating…

I am not sure what I should do. Should I put an arrow in and fire it? That seems like my best bet before I take it to get repaired. I don’t know what will happen when I fire it since the string is off the cam.

Bolt dropping low

So I have a barnett wildcat that I'm bringing for my first hunt and with the field point each crosshair is about 10 yds. I put on the thorn rift broadhead and now each crosshair is about 5 yds. I weighed the broadheads wondering if maybe I got the wrong weight explaining the drop, but alas, both weigh 100 grains. Is there any other reason that would cause such a difference in poi?

EK Archery Revo vs Mey Interceptor?

Gogun has put out two pretty solid looking xbows on their store and wondering how people are excited for them or not?

I already have a steambow stinger, so the bar for getting either of those is already high for me, but if I didn't have my current blaster, I'd probably pick one.

Revo seems like an easier option, but it's proprietary ammo and limited mag capacity is meh. Smaller ammo means less power too. No warbolts either.

Mey has plenty ammo capacity and can use all the existing bolts already on the market, but looks more awkward to cock and it's mag is crazy expensive.

What are your thoughts?

What's concisered a decent and high speed when it comes to the realm of crossbows?

Never owned one and I want to make an informed decision before buying the right one for me. I'm a little fluid when it comes to speed and it ultimately depends on the other specs whether I'll go with a decent or high fps crossbow.

For a mini crossbow, penetration really isn’t bad.

Was given a mini crossbow. I own a full size targeting focused Excalibur, but this little thing is just more fun. Decent punch and penetration for such a small and lightweight bow.

ACUdraw Pro issues

Has anyone else had repeated issues with their ACUdraw Pro cocking devices? Mine just broke for the second time now on my Wicked Ridge Xbow. Safety pawl won’t engage and I’m stuck with a bow I can’t safely cock for the start of archery season here in MI. Do I just try to cut my losses and sell the bow once it’s fixed or give the system another chance?

For the record, I followed TenPoint’s instructions on how to use the ACUdraw Pro system. I’m trying to find out if I’m the only one having recurring problems or if it’s just not that durable.

Edit: got it serviced and the technician confirmed the ACUdraw Pro model specifically (not the regular ACUdraw) has more frequent problems due to its relative complexity. Some parts had to be replaced but it’s working again. Word to the wise, get a cocking rope with a sled as a backup if you have this system.

Looking for some advice

This is my first time owning a crossbow, it’s the Barnett Black Cat Recurve crossbow, and I would just like advice on how to properly maintain this crossbow and keep it in good shape. Would it have any trouble taking down deer and from what range? Anything would help.

Affordable crossbow with decock?

Lifelong rifle and longbow hunter here, and want to get into crossbows since MN made them legal. We bought my father a decocking one last year for around $1400. Not sure what the brand is since my brother-in-law picked it out. Can I get a decent decock model for less than that? Fine with new or used. New to the crossbow world so lots to learn. Thanks

Xbow mount

Looking for ideas on how to mount a cross bow on a side by side. I have a mule with gun racks but it's not very conducive to a crossbow.

Crossbow newbie question.

I’m new to crossbows or bows in general. There’s a used 10 year old Tenpoint Titan HLX with a hard case for sale nearby. Would this be a good crossbow for a beginner and potential crossbow hunter? What would you pay for one that’s in?

New to crossbow hunting, got a few questions.

I'm new to crossbow hunting, infact I've never been crossbow hunting yet. I decided to pick one up to try, I'm planning on using it for moose hunting.

It's an Excalibur Mag 340. I have tried using it with a target block and its pretty accurate, I've been target practicing with the 20" firebolts.

What's the difference in the 20" firebolt bolts and the 18" Diablo bolts?

Which would be better for hunting?

Does the different length bolts and vanes make much difference to the way the bolt fires and the power of the bolt?

Are there better bolts you could recommend for hunting big game?

Any other tips you could recommend for someone new to crossbow hunting?

Cobra Adder String serving

How many shots should the serving survive? Instruction manual states "Keep the flight track and the string serving waxed to reduce friction. Always check and replace frayed or worn strings and cables." Doesn't mention serving life or how many shots per waxing.

Any thoughts??

Shooting in the rain?

Any concerns or things I should keep in mind while hunting/shooting in wet conditions? First year with a crossbow, should I be worried about the cams rusting or anything like that? Using a Barnett xp380

Ravin 29x

Just bought a ravin 29x I put my vortex crossfire II in place of the one it came with. Sighted it in and am very impressed with its accuracy had it out to 100 yards. It was kinda winding during sighting it in… still did pretty good handling the wind. This bow is really powerful I had two arrows stray off and hit hard material and the arrows broke apart that hasn’t happened to me before. The trigger, this thing is very sweet better then any xbow I’ve tested.

Anyone out here put their r29x through the wringer. Here are the things I want to improve -A stronger arrow -quiet this thing down it’s pretty loud

Also just looking for general advice from people running/ran this bow. Tips and tricks!

Searching for a bolt that works on Wrath 430x and the hellion 400

I got the bogo deal another redditor mentioned from centerpoint and I want to make sure I'm doing this correctly since it is my first crossbow purchase. So looking at the product info both take a 20" 400 grain, 100 grain tip, .003 straightness. So in those numbers what recommendations do people have for nice bolts? Primary use will be hunting whitetail with some target practice.

Crossbow sight… stupid newbie questions

I’m sorry if this is a stupid newbie question. I am brand new to any sort of bows. I am a gun guy. I bought a crossbow to use for bow seasoned I am consistently grouping 5-6” lower at just 20 yards. I’m using the top line on the scope which I assume is 20 yards.. I don’t have the manual anymore stupidly. I am now out of light for today so I’ll resume tomorrow but my question is, is the top line ever 10 yards on a factory crossbow scope? Or is it truly THAT out of sight. Can you even make up that kind of drop by adjusting the vertical adjustments on a scope at only 20 yards??! Thank you all
