CBD and MS

Hi 👋

Just wondering if anybody on this thread themselves or if they know of anyone who uses CBD to manage MS (Multiple Sclerosis) symptoms. I have a family member suffering and wondering if it’s a route they could take. Product advice etc!

Thanks!

Recommendations for chronic insomnia?

I'm 47 F and I suffer from life-long, chronic insomnia. I tried CBD oil for a while with little results so not sure if it was not a good enough one or not strong enough. I have also tried most of the supplements incl. melatonin, valerian, ashwagandha, magnesium, etc. and my lifestyle and sleep hygiene are fairly ok, but I have adhd and I'm also autistic + past trauma so this all generates a high level of anxiety and insomnia. In the few reddit groups on anxiety and insomnia that I regularly check a lot of people from US are recommending THC which we can't legally get in Ireland so I'm getting a bit desperate at this point. I don't smoke so would be looking for oil or edibles. Thanks is advance for any recommendations!

Ask The Tough Questions: Voters Guide To Cannabis Reform

As Ireland gears up for the General Election on November 29, 2024, voters have a unique opportunity to shape the future of the country.. For many Irish voters, cannabis policy and broader drug reform are significant concerns, especially as Ireland’s drug policy landscape has shifted over recent years.

Voting Advice?

Not sure if it's allowed but couldn't see otherwise in the sub rules.

I'm not massively clued in on Irish politics but with the general election looming, does anyone have advice or suggestions on which party to primarily vote for in order to see a progressive Ireland in terms of Cannabis legislation?

I took the quiz on https://ireland.isidewith.com/ and its giving me Green Party & Sinn Fein as my top 2 but I'm weary that most politicians will spew anything to get your vote. Can anyone recommend any pro-cannabis TD's or parties I can read a bit more into?

I should also mention that I understand there is much bigger issues in this country that need fixing and legalizing weed isn't the only thing I'm looking for in a candidate.

Seeds

Is there any seeds I can get to grow my own with minimal effort. I wouldn't have the money for lamps and tents and all that stuff. Thanks

We need a safe regulated market for cannabis ASAP

Right, so my friend and I took two gummies 50mg of h h c each and let me tell you the FEAR I got from it was mad! I’ve been taking it for one year exactly on and off but I’ve quit it.

Anyways, my friend took it and sure we were playing some games and then we went off. I went to bed and a few days later I found out my friend had no slept all night, he was tripping out that bad, to the point he told me he took some Xanax to help him sleep.

Why is this legal? And thc is not? How many more poor souls have to try hhc and what happens if it is even worse than this scenario. What does it take to carve way to this so called “HEALTH LED APPROACH” when all there is more available on this county is hhcp hhc and thcp. This is not normal! It’s hard to come to terms when we get these freely available synthetic variants that give us some form of a high but it’s not just clean weed. Every form of weed that’s being sold illegally right now is more than likely altered in some way.

Maybe things will never change but this is serious stuff and I think the more these new variants arrive on the market, one day one of them will be a very bad batch and only then will people realise cause none of us even see how these products are made? There’s no production videos anywhere! God bless our country and I hope the drugs committee really realises and our government of the weight of this drug problem we have here with an unregulated market is. Regulating would be the most smart thing to do, but unfortunately I feel this situation is far more unusual than ever in this country and there’s a certain preconditioned mindset people have about the opinion they have on peoples stances relating to cannabis. I think most would agree with a safe regulated market for cannabis so nobody ever has to go through stuff like trying them variants with god knows what in them

Anyone tried HHC flower?

Well lads. My usual guy has gone to Spain for holidays and I can’t get anything. I was thinking of just grabbing some hhc flower for the time being to get me through.

I’ve tried hhc pens but I dunno why I’m slightly worried about the flower.

Just wanting some advice. Just for reference. I’d go through grams of thc in a day no prob so I’m not worried about low tolerance

The most surreal (mostly bad) experience from a HHC gummy.

I just went through what could probably be described as the most intense anxiety/panic attack from taking a HHC gummy.

I’m not a regular user and having tried them before and experiencing something similar but on a much smaller scale, shorter time frame, etc… this one was out of this world.

If we can say that 0 is when you’re not stoned and 10 is when your socks are blown off your feet cos you’re flying so high and fast, this gummy’s score would have to be a 20.

I had everything from feeling a fiery chest tingling burning sensation, literally feeling my heart beat, slightly light headed at times, but nothing with the stomach thankfully (at least at the time of this post). So sure that if I didn’t get out for a walk by the shore listening to waves and the cold wind hitting me in the face for about 2.5hrs, the panic might have risen so much I would have been in the ER freaking out right about now.

All better at the moment, if the scale still applies I’m at a comfy 5, good buzz going, watching some YouTube and about to have a pizza.

Moral of the story - the body is a weird system that can and will punish you. I’m gonna try and be better to it going forward. No more gummies until Ireland decrim/legalising OG cannabis for consumption (the Dam doesn’t count ;)) so we don’t have to feel like criminals by doing it, resorting to untested products which can fuck you up instead of protecting their people.

Anyway, rant over…. Thank you for listening :D

Knocking it on the head lads. Any great tips?

I’m 27 now, have smoked regularly since I’m 19, with the exception of a month here and there.

I’m getting to a point where it’s costing me more than it’s giving me, im still at home, spending a fortune on it, along with the gargle and what comes with that.

I didn’t touch any drugs until I went to college, and since then grass has been my crutch I think, started off social and became a comfort on my own which I think a lot of lads understand.

I made it through college and as a result I have a decent job, great progression and the opportunity to do very well, but the grass is killing my ambition, I’m comfortably bang average performing and I’m honestly intimated to go progress even though I know that I can easily do it if I was my best self.

I've had a rough year, break up and friends emigrating have lead to me being alone more and smoking a lot more.

It’s got to a point where I had a bill to pay for weed this month, stupid fucking money spent purely out of boredom like.

My question is, is the 0-100 sort of thing possible? I’m not an active lad, I’d like to lose weight and stop smoking and just be better, but I feel like it’s a massive thing to work towards if that makes sense.

This is a bit of a rant, sorry lads but any advice is appreciated.

Good roach material

The political pamphlets that come in your door will make handy roach material if nothing else. Currently getting through a Labour Party one but wouldn’t vote for them in a fit. Don’t be afraid to ask the canvassers when they come calling where their party stands on drugs policy either. As you were : )

Growing tent

So my bother somehow acquired a growing tent to later realise he can't put it anywhere is his house share 👀🤦🏼 He was about to stick it up on adverts but I said wait till I ask here, is that dodgy or anything? I don't know anything about the tent, or adverts tbh don't really use it but not sure if it'd be better to just bin it?
