Hello everyone hope ye are doing well. I’m one of the many poor pricks who will be in court in portlaoise next march for being very bold at EP last august. (1g of coke caught on me, I’m a severe danger to society). I wasn’t gonna bother with a solicitor but having received advice on why this is a bad idea, I’m wondering does anyone here who had the same experience as me, which solicitor they went with at the time and how much it set them back. Any advice appreciated, thanks a mill.

We're all in agreement here about the bullshit laws on personal use, and about not driving when you're fucked up, and about the absurdly low threshold for the tests, which means most daily smokers are probably fucked regardless of when they last smoked.

With that out of the way, I thought it could be handy for us to put our heads together and figure out the best course of action if caught by the bollocks, whether mid spliff somewhere or at a checkpoint.

We all know staying cool, being polite and appearing cooperative is well advised, as is "no comment" if you're bang to rights. But has anyone any direct experience of being caught and getting off (without snitching obviously)? Or even a familiarity with cases of the same that we could refer to? People must have pulled it off, so it would be handy for us all to know how if anyone knows themselves.

As always, and again, don't smoke and drive.

Ahhh.. it’s been a great 4 years in Ireland. I grew up in Canada, but have an Irish mum (so dual citizenship). I moved here with my Irish fiancée 4 years ago and unfortunately things didn’t work out.

Being Canadian, I’ve been a daily smoker for about 15 years now, and moving to Ireland wasn’t going to stop me. I’ve found great bud, as well as concentrates in Ireland! (I’m based in Dublin). But the price is what was killing me. I fly back on April 2nd, but I want to wish everyone in the sub farewell. My hope is that one day, this beautiful country legalizes this magical plant and realizes all the potential it has… both for its users, as well as the government (taxing it, etc). It’s a win-win.

Not to make ANYONE jealous, but I ordered myself an ounce of AAA+ kush…. It came up to $84 Canadian which is about 55€. I’m sad to leave the country, and will hope and pray Ireland legalizes it sooner than later… (here’s a picture of the “daily deals” a lot of Canadian dispensaries provide… and 55€ for an ounce could be considered expensive to some Canadians depending on who/where you’re buying 😂)

Got stopped at a checkpoint and had to do roadside drug test, was then brought back to the guard station and got bloods done which came back 50ng/L (5x legal limit). I absolutely was not impaired and had smoked about 4 hours before hand, but am a daily smoker so either way it was going to come back positive. I usually don’t drive after smoking (except for the one time I get caught) and have no previous offences. I was honest about my use and explained in depth about my cannabis use for my mental health. Was told my the guard that I would be getting a caution but I got a court summons today so am pretty worried now.

Has anyone else in this sub been brought to court for drug driving? What was the outcome? I plan to get a solicitor but really can’t afford to be off the road for a year as I live in the country so public transport is basically non existent. Just looking for some advice, no judgement please, I know it’s my own fault but really could do with some help as I’m struggling a lot mentally at the moment and this has just topped it all off.

I have recently started driving and need my car for work. Are they still using the tests that catch people days after consumption?

Also are checkpoints prevalent in the week after a bank holiday or is it just mostly over the course of the bank holiday weekend

As the title suggests, who uses for pain relief? With severe lower back pain, I've been taking a break this weekend from the painkillers. I'm away for the weekend and since long term use of painkillers means addiction and potential liver/kidney damage, I've smoked each night and it's helped significantly.

I understand cannabis is legal and regulated for very specific conditions here in Ireland. I only hope some day the Government moves on treats expands the use for others.

Anyone know if this website got hacked etc? After ordering off it on Tuesday with my card a few hours later a bunch of transactions started happening on my bank account and I had to freeze it and order a new card . The main page on the website says "nothing found " and they still have not shipped my order . So last night was the first night I had went to bed without a few pulls off of my vape cause it was dead and wasn’t able to find the charger for it. I had a few pulls at about 6pm so thought it’d be grand. Holy fuck was I so wrong. Think I got about 2 hours of proper sleep along with absolutely sweating like fuck. Think that’s me finished with it now because I’ve only been on it about a month and that was terrible and I know I’ll probably be the same for the next 2-3 nights can only imagine what it’s like after a couple of months.

Does anyone here have any experience using a grow tent in a old country style block built shed? The doors and windows are sealed but I'm afraid it'd be too damp in there to grow, I'm looking at the Mars Hydro Smart FC3000-EVO kit and if that's taking in damp air from the shed, the plants wouldn't stand a chance would they? Is it as easy as checking the humidity in there and once it's in range, I'm good to go?

I've never grown before but I'm sick shit of getting 8gs for €80 of something advertised as sativa and it's pure indica 😂and I have to mix in cbd bud too so it's very expensive to have a smoke and growing seems like the way to go but I don't want to splash out on a tent to realise in a few weeks time I have nowhere to use it properly 😂

Lads, has anyone here actually tested positive from a drugswipe 6s 2+ days after smoking?

Trying to form my own conclusion and I'm leaning on 36hours being safe for a regular user.

I know you can get a false positive but between the chances of being pulled or hitting a checkpoint and the 1 in 5 chance of the test being a dud, you'd wanna be one unlucky person for that to happen.

Anyway anyone actually tested positive 48 hrs plus after smoking?

So I am not a cannabis enthusiast. I only smoked a few times and never had my own supply. I am pretty sure I should not have a hight tolerance as the last time I tried cannabis was months ago.

Just looking for some advice as Im looking to invest in a dry herb vaporisers because Im not a huge fan of a nic buzz (started to make me nauseous) and also have heard it’s more discreet and better for your health.

I’ve done some research myself but I am overwhelmed with the options and was wondering if anyone here could guide me on what to get? I current have the XMAX V3 Pro, Arizer Solo 2 and Mighty Vaporiser on my list, with the ones on the cheaper end being preferable, though if not quality, Im willing to go a bit more expensive.

Im a casual enough smoker, usually 1-3 joints a week with usual enough T-breaks and Im just looking for something discreet, handy and will get me stoned.

I had high hopes when reading about the outcome of the citizens assembly and then expected something to materialise after the elections but doesn't feel like there's much movement behind legalisation.

So for those who want the wheels to start turning what would need to happen for things to move along?

Well lads, have been smoking regularly for many years. I have a very good job and all round decent lift which I'm grateful for. I never drink and use weed to chill at the weekends. However, I've gained like 5 stone in 2 years from these weekend binges.

Simply put, when I get stoned I just want to eat. Cannot stop eating, literally a bottomless pit. I'm aware it's just pure greed. But it's odd like I never do it sober and eat very healthy otherwise.

Gunna have to give up for a while because of it but just wondering if anyone else has the same issue?
