Idiots doing idiots things during the pandemic. Like the kid in grade school that caused everyone to miss recess cause they couldn't behave.

Social shaming is a powerful force. Let's use it to keep the idiots in check.

COVID-19 Questions

Why is it when Trump was developing the COVID-19 vaccine, everyone said that they weren’t going to take the Trump vaccine? But when Biden got elected, everyone’s view changed overnight and those same people are now for the Trump vaccine?

Also, what is different about Covid that requires everyone to take the vaccine to work? Every other vaccine I’ve ever seen only requires people who want to be protected to take it.

Finally, when it come to abortions, everyone is allowed to say “My body, my choice.” But when it comes to the Covid vaccine, and only the Covid vaccine, no one is allowed to say “My body, my choice.” Every abortion results in a death, but not every vaccination or non-vaccination result in a death. So if abortions are allowed, then why not non-vaccinating?

I must be a Covidiot for not understanding this.

“Proposed North Carolina law would make it illegal to wear masks in public”

NC is off my travel destinations. Even if it doesn’t pass. Too bad, since CLT was a convenient transfer hub.

Covidiot has a moment of clarity.

She posted earlier asking if people are seeing her post because she was not getting interactions and thought she was shadow banned. She got plenty of interactions, so now she posted this.

No antivirals access until June 2025

Found out recently that people with certain health conditions in the UK will get access to antivirals if the test positive but not until June 2025, currently it’s a very small group of people those on immunosuppressants mainly who can get access if the test positive. So, you have to be ill enough to need hospitalisation before you’ll get the over here, even when they’ve recognised with certain health conditions you’ll benefit from them 🤦‍♀️

Mel McDaniel predicted COVID in 1996

Even Mel knew what was coming...and that meant he couldn't get any.

I’m sick cause of the covid vaccine, according to my mother-in-law

We got a last minute invitation to my in-laws for Easter Dinner. The dinner was something most our family wouldn’t eat so we said we’d come by after for dessert. I wasn’t feeling great earlier in the day, so I told my husband I probably would just stay home, but he and the kids should still go. My sis-in-law asked where I was and my 16 yr old son said I was sick. Then my mother in laws tells them it’s because of the Covid vaccine?! My son thought that was hilarious and told me when he got home. I’m not sure what’s more offensive, that or being told I’m sick because we don’t go to church. Either way it’s ridiculous and she shouldn’t be saying that to our kids. 😡

I just got my 5th booster with the flu shot.

The 4th was nothing but this one is taking me out. I have a little one now and I'm dreading tomorrow but so thankful I live in a world I can get vaccines to get me and my son safe.

Update: got my shots at 3pm Wednesday. Wednesday night my fever was BAD. Thursday I had a low grade fever with body aches and chills all day. Didn't have the energy to do anything all day but just exist. Friday morning I leap out of bed feeling right as rain and appreciated my day even more. Truly so privileged to be able to get vaccines.

What were your initial symptoms of covid? How has it changed if you were reinfected?

Before I begin, I'm not asking for medical advice.

So, my son was diagnosed with Covid a few days ago (he just turned 1) its been a hell of a week dealing with that, and all of the hospital visits we've had to make! His poor temp kept going up to 102 or even higher. (He is doing better though!)

There's a chance we may have it now, or at least are in the beginning stages of getting it. Obviously we can't avoid it to much since we need to take care of him. Anyway, it made me think back to when I first had covid around 2021.

When I first had it (before I was tested) I remeber feeling very weak and sore. Like the flu body aches you get. And then I had a pounding head ache, and fever. The next day I woke up and I had severe chills where I couldn't stop shaking until I jumped in a hot shower. Then we tested positive for it.

I'm planning on going to the doctors for my current issues in a day or two. It's weird, this time around I have the body aches. I had moderate chills this morning but they went away in like 15 mins. So far today at work I just am achy and just feel out of it and tired.

I'm almost wondering if our bodies have built up an immunity to it for the most part and of the 2nd time around isn't so bad? I've been tested every day at work before I begin my shift (for the past 3 days) abd have been negative. I'm waiting to see if symptoms get worse before going to the doctor.

In the mean time, please share with me your experiences with covid! And if you were reinfected, how was it different or the same thr 2nd time around? I'm curious as to how it's changed in people especially after an initial infection

I'm confused about long covid...

There are millions of unvaccinated people suffering from and dying from long covid...but its caused by taking the vaccine? They are getting dumber by the day.

How do you date in the age of COVID?

Bars have been a hard no for me for a while now. Restaurants are iffy, I'm mostly avoiding them during the winter spike in cases. Not interested in permanent heart/lung damage

So how are you supposed to date, when even wearing a mask indoors outs you as "one of those" in 2024? Is "having been in the same relationship since before 2020" the only strat here?
