Hello, I'm new on reddit. Once I saw a video where Victoria Will was shooting tintypes of Sundance stars. I really loved the results but didn't care to know what was tintypes. Eventually I started to search and learn about collodion wet plate photography 3 years ago when confined from CoViD. This plate is one of my latest, probably the best I did. The model is the face of the Youtube Channel Bolchegeek.
Also, why are my edges differing in contrast? The very edge is light while it gets darker in the middle. Any ideas? Thanks guys
I’m just getting started with tintype after years of film and cyanotype. Recommend me a cheap beginner camera, chemicals and resources to teach myself this art?
Graflex Speed Graphic f4.7, 1/2 exposure. I also got to experience what happens when you get too close to the flame when you varnish. Yikes, oops, lesson learned.
I hear great things about UV Photographics UVP-X, being fast but also very stable and offering a long shelf life.
Unfortunately they don’t ship outside of the US or Canada, so was curious if there was a similar option for UK buyers?
