I got to see Sixpence None the Richer in concert last night. It was excellent! Steve Hindalong is part of the live band, which I didn't know and was a great bonus!
I know there have been a handful of posts about this already, but thought I'd make a more recent one (feel free to delete if this is overly repetitive). Trying to include some specifically less popular ones, but kept some popular ones as well.
Not in the business of questioning theology/if they're "actually" Christian, or still a Christian. Just trying to provide a helpful resource for people with good music.
(I know for a fact a handful of those on my list maybe wouldn't identify as Christian anymore, one or two mormons, some music about their journey away from faith, but still have great music laced with good stuff).
Forgive my genres if they're not exact, but hopefully helpful for people to find stuff they like.
Feel free to add your faves!

My brother's new song is just incredible I had to share with you all. Its a conversation between him and the devil. (The devil is made a fool)
If not send some suggestions please
Anyone got any upbeat or happy Christian music recommendations? It can be rap, rock or maybe something funky to make you dance. If you have a playlist feel free to share it! Thanks in advance!
I've been listening to artists like Caleb Gordon, Sevin, Bizzle, and Lazarus! for a while now and those sounds are great, but I'm from Philly and miss that Kur type of sound.

I’m the lead for our youth band. I play but they don’t seem very into it. What are some songs that teenagers would like or hype them up.
Hey everyone, I just came across some really good Christian meditation music that’s pretty unique. It mixes calming sounds with faith-based affirmations, and it’s definitely worth a listen if you’re into that sort of thing. Thought I’d share it here! they have a spotify as well

I love the church, I love worship music, but I am seriously concerned by the allegations made against Melissa Helser in the below podcast. Has anyone else heard about this? The accuser names himself publicly, and gives a lot of details about spiritual and emotional abuse he experienced at the hands of the Helsers and their Cageless Birds group. It is really heartbreaking for me as a fan of theirs, but I can’t see any reason this man would lie. Has anyone heard more about this? Has anyone from Cageless Birds addressed this stuff? Sorry if this isn’t the right place to share but I just can’t believe more Christians aren’t talking about this.

PLSSS give me some Christian music that sounds just like The Score. The Score is an Alt Rock band on Spotify.

I've always been partial to folk songs with a narrative, most of them murder ballads--Banks of the Ohio, Lily of the West, The House Carpenter, Little Sadie, any number of Johnny Cash songs, or Gillian Welch.
What I've been searching after is some Christian music that's just a singer and a guitar, straightforward chords, telling a story that isn't about Jesus specifically but involves gospel themes. The closest I've heard to this in any genre is Marty Robbins, Leonard Cohen (mostly secular), and I'm looking for something more contemporary.
I love the music of Porters Gate, Sandra McCracken, Paul Zach, Taylor Leonhard, etc. What I'm finding is that most of their songs involve lofty language (appropriate for the subject!) but end up not feeling like there is a distinct character in them other than God and Jesus.
I get that this is how worship music works, but I'm looking for something just left of that, where a story is told about a specific person discovering the power of the gospel, in some way.
I hope this vague explanation might yield some interesting recommendations. Thank you all in advance!
Edit: Wishing Well by The Oh Hello's is a great example of what I'm looking for. https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=t_zZRIh5i-k&si=B1c7Hhk3Ko71XnXU
Just wondering cause I really like her music, and I'm pretty sure she's Catholic herself.
How was worship today?
