A Fun-Filled Lucha Subreddit!
Since 2002, CHIKARA has been an innovator, bringing its unique, family-friendly flavor of professional wrestling to a global fanbase. Reaching millions of fans in more than 40 countries, combining a live touring schedule with the first of its kind, video-on-demand and subscription service, CHIKARA has fostered an interactive, culturally diverse fan-engaging experience they affectionately call "The Fun-Filled Lucha Super Party."
This is the home of dedicated discussion of CHIKARA events, stars, and news. The CHIKARMY is encouraged to discuss it all here.
We encourage more general discussion of wrestling, and of course spreading the love of CHIKARA in our sister subreddits dedicated to professional wrestling - an artform we love.

I know this is going to sound weird but after finding out the entire catalogue is still on IWTV I've found it really hard to go back and watch the old shows knowing what I know now about how Chikara ends.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Does anyone happen to know where people like The Whisper, Lucas Callhoun, The New Colony, Xyberhawx and Hallowicked and Frightmare ended up?
I know a few like Dasher and Mister Touchdown called it quits but I miss watching a lot of the Chikara crew and would love to know what a majority of them that didn't get signed are up to.
It’s being billed as a FEVER DREAM MATCH Because that’s the only place it seems like it could happen!

Check out this 90 second trailer for our next show. I’m (Max Smashmaster) am trying to make some fun wrestling in New England!
Was finally sold on Chikara due to listening to an old podcast appearance with Kevin Ford.
I was one of many people who were put off on Chikara due to silly Youtube clips. Plus WWE was running its monopoly in the 2000s and I missed all other leagues besides Stardom. My only experience with Chikara was an invisible exploding grenade on Youtube which rubbed me the wrong way. I generally am not into ironically self-aware smark snark, so never gave it a second thought until hearing the podcast hosts sell it hard.
The things I heard which appealed to me were:
Well I am starting in 2002 with the appropriately titled The Renaissance Dawns, so wish me luck.
The first years seem very irrelevant, am I wrong?
What wrestlers would you book and how would you book it?
Assuming you had all the money you needed, permission to use people employed elsewhere, (AEW), the works.
What does that card look like, and more importantly, what do those storylines look like.
And also, who survives the Chikara Speaking Out Purge? Obviously we're not booking Quack or Kobald. But who does make the cut?
