Gorgeous views of the world's most beautiful game. From the slender lines of the queen to the suggestively cocked hat of the bishop, this is the place to show us your wood... or plastic, or whatever the chess set may be made from.

Picked this up for the bargain price of £20. Board is 20"x20", squares are 2"x2" and the king is just over 4". Nice weight to the pieces too, and a beautiful box for storing them.

Abuelo's Chess set in the morning sun.
I stumbled upon this set on eBay some time ago. It was and still is unlike any set I’ve ever seen. I have been unable to identify this set in any way and believe it is one of a kind. Probably made by someone a long time ago as a one off project. Even the storage box is a complete oddity. If anyone has a clue as to the origin of this set, or would just like more detailed pictures, feel free to dm me.
Also, I know the black king and queen are darker. They are painted black. No I don’t know why.
Bought at an antique store down the road from a chess tournament I was playing in last Saturday. Cost me $20 and came with the board, pieces, and a chess book.

Looking for help identifying a vintage chess set: wooden and foldable, with velvet and elastic bands inside as pictured to hold the chess pieces. The chess pieces were wooden painted white and black, but we no longer have them. Tyia!
