Played a lot of magic in high school but it's been a few years but my brother in law wanted to get back into it but he plays commander and I've only ever played standard (until recently). I have a mediocre deck built but I was looking through the cards I currently have and goblins and gremlins stood out to me. I don't have enough of just one to make a deck from so was wondering if they could be good together and if it would be worth the time to build a goblin/gremlin hybrid deck?
Hey, I used to be a very competitive player, but as i got more busy i fell out of the loop, stopped enjoying the current format landscape etc etc. In order to have some fun with my favorite parts of the game, constructed deck brewing, metagaming etc, i "developed" a format, which is basically cube constructed, with the cube being customized by me with cards i think create an entertaining and enjoyable format. If anyone is interested heres the link to the current legal card pool https://cubecobra.com/cube/list/e98f1c88-fe1e-4c2b-9231-a1491c1aa7b8. With a friend im planning on banning a few cards soon after some more playing, and in near future adding another "set" (around 250 cards) to the legal card pool, with a sort of rotation in mind once we reach four of those in the pool. Let me know what you guys think :)
I've played MTG for a while now, and recently started again with some modified precons and homebrew decks. Looking at the cards I've got an idea: is there a way to build a "market" theme commander deck?
Like a deck that allows me to exchange creatures with mana or vice versa with other players on the board, or something like that. I've looked at Ms.Bumbleflower from the recent expansion, but it's not quite what I'm looking for. Do you guys know some possible commanders or cards that could be useful in a deck like this one?
I'm playing a plargg commander deck and he has "Tap, Discard a card: Draw a card" if I have no cards in hand can I still draw a card by just discarding nothing?
Friends and I are doing a five deck mono color challenge. I am building gandalf the white, mostly artifacts. Any ideas for a good couple finishers. I looked on edh recently and it just seemed like value pieces nothing to drive it home.
Basically I am just wondering if a creature has the text “bury this creature at the end of your turn” but it also has undying does it still come back or does bury mean it never hits the graveyard so it wouldn’t trigger?
Okay for everyone that hasn’t seen GOT. Whitewalkers were an army of the death. They killed everything they saw and then the death joined them.
I’m trying to make a deck of around 60 cards. And the idea is the same. I attack someone, they block, there creature dies and I get an additional creature. What creates the effect I have an army and they have nothing. If they let me trough they die, if they block my army gets bigger. I allready have a few cards in it. But does anyone have tips or hints for me?
