Hi! I just recently binged this series on Netflix but they only have the first 4 seasons on there š¢ (US). I NEED to keep watching it but I don't know where. I looked on prime and they want like $20 per season which is ridiculous to me. I also have Hulu but they don't have it either. I don't mind paying some, just not that much.
What is your favourite fight scene of Brooklyn nine-nine as a whole?
People always hate on Gina for being malicious and mean but what about Caleb??? He literally lured kids in with a chat room, kidnapped them at soccer games and then ate them. I like all of the characters in the show, Caleb included, but hating on Gina when Caleb is a big focus for at least 3 episodes and then reoccurs throughout? does not make any sense to me.
Charles giving terry shit for his body š¤£. Hands down.
Because in the 9th episode of the first season he read Boyleās food blog?
The more I watch the show, the more I want to delete almost every scene he is in. The clinginess, the inappropriate comments about Jake and Amy's relationship, the rudeness towards Terry, the incessant comments about his sex life... It got old real fast, and now every Boyle scene feels like I'm in a restaurant trying to enjoy my meal, but someone is pushing their genitals in my face
To preface, I accidentally capitalized the title, but I've decided to keep it that way because it's SO ANNOYING.
S3E1 between 19:39-20:37 there is a small smudge on the wall behind Holt (RIP Andre Braugher, you are a legend) that I always think is a smudge on my phone screen. I try to wipe it away and end up forwarding or rewinding.
Has this happened to anyone else??
SPOILERS AHEAD!
Hereās my ranking of the characters as well as my brief thoughts and favorite moment of each character. Obvious disclaimer, these are just my opinions about them; not an in-depth analysis of their characters.
I didnāt add that much context to my favorite moments just in case you havenāt seen it but still decided to read this post. You should also know that those moments arenāt really supposed to be relevant to my opinion of them.
MAIN SQUAD:
Favorite moment: >!Him having a showdown against a random street dancer.!<
2. Jake - Best character development on the show, not to mention really smooth. Youāll only realize how much he grew if you deliberately look back. Plus, I identify with how immature he is sometimes.
Favorite moment: >!When Jake slipped a pen in Doug Judyās pocket.!<
3. Terry - Heās a really caring sergeant and dad whoās very in touch with his feelings. Iād love to have a dad like Terry (yes, over Holt and Kevin).
Favorite moment: >!Terry carrying the Vulture over his shoulders when the Vulture wanted to raid the store.!<
4. Amy - I really find her lovable especially with all the nerdy stuff and how it slips out of her despite being around people who are too cool for school (except Holt). Her feeble attempts to fit in are so adorable.
Favorite moment: >!Every time she stands up to Holt and walks out secretly freaking out.!<
5. Rosa - Such an awesome character. Feels kinda forced sometimes but I never found it obnoxious or hard to watch. I love how sheās secretly a softie who actually cares about her friends no matter how much she tries to hide it.
Favorite moment: >!Her speaking loudly and rolling around the bullpen on her chair while hopped up on cold medicine.!<
6. Gina - Actually the only reason Gina is down here is because I like the first five more. I kinda see why some people hate her, but I couldnāt bring myself to feel that way. The way she acts like she doesnāt care about her job but does it well anyway is so funny and amazing to me. Like Rosa, she cares about her friends more than she thinks she does.
Favorite moment: >!Monologuing as she was surrounded by fascinated psychologists who were taking notes.!<
7. Scully - Heās actually a sweet oaf and obviously the better one between him and Hitchcock. Even though heās depicted as an idiot, sometimes his talents come in handy. We must also acknowledge that young Scully was hot AF.
Favorite moment: >!Scully quickly matching up a page from a truckload of shredded paper.!<
8. Charles - I respect how heās such a loyal friend to Jake, but the guy has zero boundaries. I really canāt stand him most of the time, especially around Jake. He's okay to watch around the other characters, but he has ruined a lot of great Jake-centric moments. He's also really condescending towards Terry. On the plus side, heās really comfortable in his own skin, not at all egotistic, and really embraces his character. He really is a sweet guy, though.
Favorite moment: >!When he managed to ābetaā Gina into helping him deal with Pimento.!<
9. Hitchcock - I canāt even think of a good thing to say about Hitchcock. Heās creepy AF and his lines arenāt even funny; itās just disgusting. Well at least heās a good friend to Scully and can be a great detective when it comes to food and other stuff they care about.
Favorite moment: >!His proud partner moment as Scully sang at Holtās party.!<
RECURRING CHARACTERS:
Favorite moment: >!Cheddar licking a sundae off the ground.!<
2. Wuntch - I like her because sheās the only one who brings out Holtās pettiness and creativity as he conjures fresh insults (always fun to watch). For some reason, her trying to ruin Holt doesnāt piss me off. I guess itās because their relationshipāin Holtās wordsāwas an epic chess match which, I find, was a very great addition to the whole storyline.
Favorite moment: >!Opening her coat in front of Holt, revealing herself dressed only in lingerie.!<
3. Doug Judy - I love how he and Jake are so in sync. Of course he has tricked Jake so many times, but at least theyāre so fun to watch together that every episode with Doug Judy is a treat. In fact, his >!song at the all-ages piano lounge adults only show!< gave me the best laugh out of the entire series.
Favorite moment: >!āA little bit to the left. My left, my left, my left, my left.ā!<
4. The Vulture - Heās a horrible guy, but the reason why I donāt hate episodes with the Vulture that much is because the squad almost always gets their revenge. Itās always so satisfying to watch the Vulture become āout-vultured.ā
Favorite moment: >!His version of how heāll arrive at the crime scene where CJ would be kidnapped.!<
5. Kevin - Him slowly developing a relationship with the squad is so adorable. Absolutely the perfect match for Holt.
Favorite moment: >!Citing out his long debate moderator license number over the phone.!<
6. Pimento - Heās so unhinged and chaotic itās funny. Iām glad heās just a recurring character, though. It wouldāve been an overkill otherwise.
Favorite moment: >!When he hurriedly walked away from Ginaās desk after being stopped from getting jelly beans.!<
7. CJ - I like him, but heās not that interesting as a character. I sometimes get frustrated when heās too much of a dumbass.
Favorite moment: >!Him sadly resting his chin on a table when he lost an evidence.!<
8. Lt. Hawkins - Sheās horrible. The only reason she's ahead of John Kelly is because she's a badass.
Favorite moment: >!Her first appearance in the series where she reveals the perps Rosa and Jake caught were actually undercover cops.!<
9. John Kelly - The smiley, obnoxious villain that gets into everyoneās nerves because he doesnāt display the emotion we want to see. At least he gave Jake the opportunity to >!create the Suicide Squad.!<
Favorite moment: >!āWhat just happened?ā!<
10. Roger - Ugh.
Favorite moment: >!His sweet moment with Mr. Santiago in the hospital after he accidentally cut off his thumb.!<
ROMANTIC INTERESTS/PARTNERS/EXES (no description):
Hi!
Was thinking of a scene of Jake and Rosa:
J: I need you to tell me itās gonna be okay R: itās gonna be okay J: you donāt know that Rosa!!
(Or something close to that š¬)
Does anyone have a clip or know the episode where itās from?
Just started watching the first season of L&O:SVU and couldn't help but notice the similarities between both characters: talented and accomplished detectives with a strong sense of duty. But do the similarities end there? Looking at how they dress, I start to wonder if the writes of B99 didn't mean to reference Olivia directly. What you guys think?
My only idea is that they have metal detectors but wouldnāt they have thought to check his shoes for non metal items? Kinda just confused me
Or is it just me? Iāve got a feeling that Wuntch has a thing for Ray in like every scene where they are together. I mean you canāt deny that there are signs like the night the captain told her he was gay and the āHow do I know youāre not wearing a wire?ā AND the fact that she kissed him once. All of that couldnāt just be her trying to psyche (donāt know how itās spelled) him.
Iāve just never heard anyone else talk about it. Does someone else have the same opinion?
(Just realised I misspelled Madeline but canāt change the title)
What would Brooklyn Nine Nine do if there was no Brooklyn and the number nine did not exist
Every time there's a fantastic scene with Captain Holt I enjoy it and then I get sad.
The show is great though.
Giving blood is terrifying. I'd rather base jump.
