I made this so quickly lol and I haven’t edited in so long😭hope it is appriciated 🙏🏼
Got this tattoo as a tribute to the late Andre Braugher
We were watching a game show of some sort the other day (the reboot of Hollywood Squares, maybe?) and one of the questions asked was something like "What's the name of a person whose profession is making barrels?"
Me to Mom - "Oh I know this one! They're called 'coopers.'"
The show host confirmed that, and my mom stared at me in amazement. I am in no way the type of person who randomly would know what a cooper is normally. "How do you know these things?" Mom said, her tone tinged with wonder.
She already knows I like Brooklyn 99, she knows Andre Braugher (RIP, you amazing man) was on that show, so then I had to awkwardly explain I've watched the one episode when Holt goes to a barrel museum multiple times, and you tend to remember some things after you've listened to his lecture about barrels a few times lol
... I kind of hate Charles for judging and passively criticizing Terry's parenting.
There are a lot of things about Boyle that can sometimes tick me off a bit, but this one really takes the cake. I'm watching S4E3 and it just strikes me the wrong way. They're on a road trip to save Jake and Cap Holt, yet Charles decides to (though momentarily) focus on Terry's parenting choices?
I mean, I get the show's usage of hyperboles for comedic effect. I'll laugh at all the exaggerations, but this specific instance is a big exception
Then again, it ultimately gave us the
"Go to sleep, Daddy's dead, But his ghost's always watching~~"
so I can't really complain too much 😅
Season 2 Episode 9 The Road Trip
A new season?!?!
My wife's favorite character is Captain Raymond Holt, and she has a milestone birthday coming up.
I'd like to include a Holt quote on the cake and would appreciate any recommendations (gotta be on the shorter side):
My current list:
Thanks in advance!
S1:E22, Scully mentions he doesn’t talk to his kids anymore, are there any other mentions of his kids?
Cringe: Amy: I love you. So much. Jake: I love you so much too.
I love you so much too is not a sentence, Jake.
Random small funny moment: Terry’s face in the background when Holt tells Gina that Terry is a “bunny-buying coward.”
ETA: who downvoted this? It’s so light hearted. How did I hurt you?
Just the laugh I needed to start my day. Thank you. 😹😹😹
One of my favourite episodes lol. Jake's fake therapist and "X&X gives me a boner" and also "hamming" being a verb makes it incredible 😂
Any actual cops in this sub that can give me a good answer to this question? Holt is seen using a revolver throughout the show. Why is this? Do captains typically have revolvers? Do any cops use revolvers still? Or is it just a tv thing?
He’s taken down many high level criminals, Solved a almost impossible case, and is incredibly skilled at combat (although it’s inconsistent with his pysichal health he’s still extremely skilled in high stress situations)
this is such a small and inconsequential moment but to me jake taking off amy’s dentist bib is genuinely so romantic and caring 🥹🥹
Hope this post doesn't break any rules...
There are so many great lines in this show, it seems strange to limit the flair options to just a few. You could fill several pages with Boyle's sexual innuendo alone.
Any chance that the mods might allow custom flair? Or have there been problems with vandalism/mischief/trolling in the past?
In any case, what custom flair would you create if you had the chance? I'm torn between "It's a tough nut to bust" and "Sent from my stinky butt".
Someone in r/NoStupidQuestions was asking about lice, and face mites came up. I could only think of Terry.
