Hi all,
Just finished my finals and calculated my final grade and it ended up being an 81. I’m taking MET CS200 as a prerequisite to get into the Health Informatics master’s program. A week ago, I’ve emailed an adminstrator and they said I need a “B” or better to get into the program… What can I do about this? Does the B- count? or am i doomed?
Is there anyone that has completed this program in its entirety and is open to chatting about their experience?
Like come the fuck on im paying 90K a year to attend this place and cannot find a study space to study for my finals.
For the people that went on the program above, what Econ courses were the easiest or most interesting to take?
I’m currently applying to BU’s LA program for film in the fall semester. I wanted to ask what courses you recommend for those who’ve been in the program
We get it… ppl r being loud in the library. Boohoo tell them to shut up or do something about it. Every semester we get a PLeaSe BE QAiet I am sTuDyIng during finals. girl go do something about it and get off reddit. We need a ban on please be quiet in the library posts fr.
Encourage everyone to stop hiding behind screens and passive aggressively telling ppl to stop being loud on here. If it’s really an issue and it means that much, you can take a 5 second break to get out of your seat, walk over to that loud table and tell them to keep it down. If not—- move! Soooo sick and tired of the complaining of it being loud in the library it not that deep fr.
I'd a break-up recently where she pretty much told me I'm worthless and left me for a guy working in a FAANG company with a top notch salary. I felt really FUCKED for a day or 2, when a close buddy of mine hyped me up to pour all that Grief and frustration, and channel all that energy into just fkn studying, nothing else. And tbh, it's been working pretty fkn well ngl!!
WHO and WHERE do you get someone to unlock a room for you?! 😭🙏🙏😭🙏😭
is it safe to sleep in mug overnight i need to knock
Whoever covered the entire toilet seat in piss and didn’t clean it up, I really don’t like you.
As I finish off my first semester in the MS CIS grad program, I'm left wondering if I could speed this up without incurring the full time rate.
I'd like to finish before May 2026, only because I'm impatient, however the part time rate (8 credits per semester or less) means the degree will be ~$35k total for all 10 courses, where the full time rate (12+ credits) costs ~$33k per semester. As someone paying my own way - a bit too rich for my blood.
MET allows the transfer of 2 courses from other schools as long as you received a B or higher, according to their site. Has anyone here attempted to take a 15 week course or two at another school in parallel to complete their degree more quickly? Or is this policy assumed to be for transfer students who completed the courses before starting at MET?
I know many grad schools discourage this practice, but I'm curious if anyone else was like me and a glutton for punishment if it means getting to the finish line sooner.
How is the food at BU (if im forced to have a meal plan then it better be good)
Has anyone been on the class taught by Professor Santiago Franco Tabares? I think he should be teaching EC502 in 24fall. How did he rate and his class? rmp can't find his rating.
me and my friends are trying to study for final exams and there are these loud group of girls (I think they're from pct frat--i heard someone mention that) who are talking and laughing with no respect for people who are trying to study. If they want to chat and laugh go somewhere else, please. They're disturbing so many people who are actually trying to study.
Hello! :) I'm a communications specialist with almost 3 years of experience at a small startup. I enjoy working in communications, but my role covers everything from internal newsletters and announcements to external tasks like meeting local officials & this broad scope makes me feel less "confident" about my expertise, and I want to deepen my knowledge.
I’m considering an online MA in Global Marketing and Management from Boston University MET. It’s cost-effective and covers a wide range of topics, including finance and marketing—not just communications. I feel like the courses will help me gain more knowledge about finance and marketing which I hope it will help me get more opportunities in other industries.
Has anyone taken this course or been in a similar situation? Would love to hear your thoughts or advice. Thanks!
I got admitted ED1 (🥶) and received my financial aid estimate based off my CSS.
The Finaid department told me they haven’t processed FAFSA yet, so should I be expecting a little bit more in financial aid after FAFSA processing since the FAFSA doesn’t account for our house value?
Does anyone know how good the curve is for ds310. I’m a little bit worried 😬
I’m graduating in January but want to walk in may, does anyone know if there’s a form or anything I have to fill out to do that lol
Also can I like get my diploma earlier? What’s the deal haha
thought it said we can pick up the cards on weekends when it said weekdays. Are the cards just normal 3x5 note cards with lines? Or there's anything special to them

I was on academic probation for this semester and I calculated my overall gpa and i’m around a 1.9-2.0 depending on finals. I’m so nervous rn if I don’t make it to the 2.0 and I have an appointment scheduled with my advisor. Are they going to dismiss me? My semester gpa is around a 2.5 it’s just i messed up last semester bc it was my first semester here. I’m also really concerned about my aid being taken away. Has anyone been in the situation before? What do I do?

Had many sublets last minute cancel, desperately looking for someone for the spring semester as I’m going abroad. Willing to negotiate price. The apartment itself is literally 5 seconds off campus as it is one of the first houses of Allston. It’s a 2 story unit with 6 individual bedrooms, all male residents. Kitchen, 3 bathrooms, dining room, living room, and porch. Can guarantee that the unit has more amenities and is cheaper than any student housing.
I'm actually shivering with Uggs and a winter coat on
the amount of times i’m going over everything …
Hey guys, so I recently got into COM (yay!!) and wanted to know your tips for BU. I'll be taking the train there for orientation and my first day, and want to know things I should avoid/look out for.
Thought I'd post this just in case people give good tips since I applied ED and don't know much about BU other than what I researched.
I did pass/ fail in early November and was curious what is the lowest grade that is considered passing?
Does anyone know?
(specifically for rich hall) are the mailrooms closed this weekend of study period?
