Freshly cut Oak/Maple
Im looking for freshly cut Oak, or Maple logs (other species will work too, depending on the species, these are just the best ones) for Shiitake mushroom cultivation. Does anyone know any arborists, tree services or the like in the area that sell unsplit logs?
Hello! I’m staying in Beloit for the next 2 days and was wondering if anyone has any recs on places to see, restaurants, etc
There are at least five missing people from the Beloit area, they are old cold cases but still deserve attention for the sake of the families. I've listed them below, also a link to a page with more information for each. Please keep on the lookout for them as well as evidence of them, clothing, shoes, jewelry, even bones - most of the time people assume they are animal bones, and most of the time they are, but it's worth checking with authorities about it. Please don't downvote me, I'm just trying to help these families get answers.
Thank you and stay safe, Beloit :)
Looking for any recommendations on park and ride/overnight options near Highway 81 or interstate?
Coming down from Madison, trying to meet up with a ride from Monroe to Chicago.
Janesville P&R might be our best option, but google wasn't helping much for a more southern location.
I tried going to Cataclysm for their EDH game but I realized it was more of a tournament type thing than what I would prefer. No shade to anyone there, I deeply respect the time effort and money they've put into their decks, I'm just not looking for that level of game. Are there any local casual events you guys know of?
Thank you!
Looking for dude named Craigh. I met this dude in the Marine Corps (2022) who I spoke with for probably 4-5 hours one night. 25-27 years old at the time, from South Beloit, Wisconsin. Big guy, 6’2 at least, maybe 220 lbs+, wore glasses, kind of a rough, scruffy appearance. One of the most interesting conversations I ever had. Wrote down his name and number somewhere but I’ve never seen it again. Quite a character. Told me about how rough it was growing up in South Beloit, I guess in the 90’s early 2000’s. Shootings, stabbings, near misses with death. Really want to find this guy, and get back in touch. Slim chance, but any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Pool? Walk around? I don’t care. I just need to get out but don’t like going places alone.
China House on Prairie is very consistent, but generic and rather bland. We eat well, but are looking for something more...interesting (?).
Please opine freely...
I have loved my time in Beloit- this community has been welcoming and warm. The city has grown so much and I am proud to see that. Unfortunately I feel the need to move closer to my aging parents down south.
I am looking for suggestions for a trusted Realator in Beloit from the locals.
The wife(28) and I (30) are looking for hobbies so as not to be such hermits and meet people. Ideas this far are cooking/dance classes, or a club of some kind.
Where do I even start looking? Anyone have ideas? Cross post to r/Rockford
I went outside to see if a tree fell and hit our house. It was that intense. I also heard sirens fly past our house a few minutes afterward.
FWIW - I'm near Burton and McKinley, and perceived that the sound came from the southeast.
