San Francisco Bay Area Water
~ ~ ~ Clear and clean. ~ ~ ~
The San Francisco Bay Area has historically had ready access to plentiful and pristine water, but that's changing. Climate change, plastic pollution, fracking, and aging infrastructure all threaten water quality and availability in very real ways.
Luckily we live in a community that values natural resources, and works to build sustainability into public policy. As a result, there have been substantial gains: in oversight of freshwater usage; in Bay water quality; in contaminant reduction; in environmental restoration projects; and in improved ecosystem health.
