Steamcharts saying that ASE has more players but servers are pretty much dead ?? Am I doing something wrong orr .. ?

Are you tired of pay-2-win servers? Servers that wipe often, or servers that are overrun with large tribes that lay waste to smaller tribes, or solos? I am...I'm a solo player that likes the PvP experience, but don't have the time to make Ark my second job. I'm an adult with real life responsibilities, but I still like my dinos! I recently came back to Ark and tried a few unofficial servers but I just kept getting wiped by large tribes no matter where I went! The last server I played on wiped because of a conflict between the admin and his server host. That was the last straw.

So I decided to host a modded, slightly boosted dedicated server on one of my machines where smaller tribes and solos like myself can have a long term place to call home and try to have a good time! The aim is to have a community PvP server where smaller tribes (up to trio) and solos can have a place to still enjoy Ark without having to play PvE for fear of just being wiped by massive tribes just because. 

Right now it's just Ragnarok, however I have the specs to host quite a few more (12-core, 24 thread CPU with 32 GB RAM and a gigabit fibre connection). I just need the time to set up more maps. I own the hardware so we shouldn't have any issues with unreliable hosts! If you're still here, I hope like what you're reading and are interested. We're still a fresh server with only a few tribes/solos so there's plenty of prime spots available!

Our server has a few QOL mods and custom settings that take some of the tediousness out of Ark, but doesn't completely erase the vanilla feel of the game. Flyers can level speed, griffins can be bred, no grapple glitches etc. More details in discord!New tribes get PvE protection if you choose and also if you're raided as well. Just let me know in discord. PvE protection is based on tribe size. There's an in-game shop that has kits, from starting kits to "I've been raided" kits to help you get back on your feet. Points are earned by just playing! No OP pay-2-win dinos! Admin command logging is enabled!

Hey I was wondering if switch servers wether it be unofficial or official have player's still playing or is it a lost cause main reason is because I was thinking of picking it up onsale on my switch

Hi, so i just wanted to join a friend on a modded server, but i get an error every time i try to join, isk if it is bcs Gfn doesn't allow you to play with mods or something, does anyone know what i can do?

I don't know what it is but after moving my Ark game to my external storage I've had issues with it. I cant look up any servers i want. If I try to look up "Primal Fear" or anything else it just says that no sessions are found. It wont even show ANY favortited servers I have or show I have any survivors created. I tried resetting my settings to default but it didn't do anything. Does anyone know what I could do?

Is PVP worth trying? Is it very difficult for a noob? Is it just swarmed with hackers or toxic players? Any advice would be appreciated.

So basically I’m downloading ark on steam and this is the first game I’ve ever downloaded on pc I’m wondering if I did something wrong as it first downloaded 44gb then another 128gb and now it’s unpacking which is another 128 I think I did something wrong

is it just me or is it so hard to make friends in ark 🥲 everyone just raids you on servers and stuff like that.. like what are you doing.. if anyone needs someone who’s on grinding everyday you can always add me up (ark survival evolved) but i will be getting ark survival ascended for christmas if anyone wants to do that, and i do need friends aswell so 😭

So I'm a fairly new player to Ark, I've played a little before but barely enough to rise abode newbie status lol. I'm also playing solo right now, I wanna get to know the game properly before even daring to go to PvP😅

Now, I'm playing on the "Lost Island" map, I'm around mid game at just over level 60+ I believe. I've mainly just been exploring the whole map, tamed a few dinos and largely just taken the game slowly but now I want to set up a proper main base. I can build stone structures and have even unlocked a couple metal ones too. Also have the forge, preserving box and smithy. I can't remember exactly everything I have built right now as I haven't even loaded up today but that's the gist of it.

I'm just a bit lost in what should I aim to get for my base because there is actually a lot more structures than I initially thought and I found it a bit overwhelming because it just made me unsure of what to get.

So what structures do you guys think are essential for anyones base? Ones that I can get right now or that I should work towards as I level up more.
