I can't remember if that was coffee or tea that Hank was drinking in the scene where he had ants carry sugar cubes around for Scott and himself after breaking him out of prison?
Looking for Scott Lang's Ant-Man in 2024 comics. I've read his old series but there's no new one, right? Is he appearing in any recent comics?
I've never read a comic he's appeared in yet so I just want to get a good sense of the character
Mine:
I finally read my first Ant-Man comics. I became a mod of this sub to help me get to know the character a bit better. I first became interested in Ant-Man through different animated Marvel projects and then Scott's appearance in the MCU. For my first comic book, I selected Nick Spencer's run and, to help immerse myself into the story, I decided to listen to the soundtrack of the first Ant-Man movie. I like to come up with a voice cast in my head whenever I read a comic book and here's who I had for this one: Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Clancy Brown as Taskmaster, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Kathryn Newton as Cassie, Judy Greer as Peggy (I know she played Maggie in the movies but both are nicknames of the same name), John DiMaggio as Grizzly, and Corey Stoll as Darren Cross.
I do love an underdog story as much as anyone else does. Seeing Scott trying to do right by Cassie was definitely a good plot in my opinion. I haven't read too many comics with the main character already being a parent and trying to do the right thing for their child, but seeing Scott and Cassie's relationship was definitely the wholesomeness I have been waiting for (Seriously, I nearly cried when we thought she died in Endgame). Seeing him take on Taskmaster was truly entertaining, their banter was really fun to read. The artwork was quite charming as well. I am glad to have made this my first Ant-Man comic and I look forward to getting my hands on the next volume of Nick Spencer's run.
Would you have her gain superpowers of her own? Would she learn to work with Hank, Janet, Scott, etc? Would she have a dark secret that would be revealed in time? Do feel free to discuss your ideas down below.
I like his costume, his cocky attitude, how he schools all of the other Avengers, he's so much fun. Sucks that the show was cancelled before we could see anymore of Yellowjacket.
