So in issue 35 Johnny competes with Death in a set of three races. Is this the same character as Mistress Death? I don't know her very well outside of the Infinity Gauntlet Story and some Deadpool stuff. Can she change her appearance for individuals? If anyone can source their answer too I'd really appreciate it! Also when did he repair the Skull cycle and where did it go after this?
So I recently finished the Danny Ketch Omnibus and I absolutely loved it. Danny Ketch has become a favorite of mine and I really like his dynamic with Noble Kale (whose identity was not revealed in the Omnibus). So my question is, is the stuff after issue 24 worth reading?
I already own issues 25-27, and the Spirits of Vengeance: Rise of the Midnight Sons TP (which collects issues such as #28 & #31 and many others). I also own the Ghost Rider: Danny Ketch – Addict TP which collects the two last issues of the original title. So those are the stuff I will definitely read. But is any other issues worth reading?
I’m more of a Johnny kind of guy, grew up watching the nick cage films and other johnny focused material. I never saw anything with Danny and Robbie is good, but I prefer the og.
Haven’t been exposed to too much Danny stuff, but his rider design and bike are cool, Robbie’s rider design really doesn’t click with me, I prefer the flaming skeleton over a weird clown lookin thing. Robbie has a Dodge, which is cool don’t get me wrong, but I prefer the bike to it. To me Johnny just has the perfect mix, badass bike design, normal rider design, and I’ve seen him in more material I have nostalgia for.
What’s your favorite?
I know there's an actual flame head but I don't have premium
So in the recent issue of the spirits of vengeance run we find out that the true name of spirit possessing Michael ( or possessed) is Zala and he looks fucking badass and for now it's my second favourite ghost rider design after Zarathos from the 90's, and personally I think he's one of the SOVs who fought against Zarathos for the medallion of power, Soooo... Any thoughts?
Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Just got finished gorging on WAY TOO MUCH pie and turkey and was watching Four Brothers. One of the characters, Jack Mercer struck me a bit and I have to ask? Anyone else think this guy, Garrett Hedlund, would make a good Danny Ketch?
For context Santa Muerte in Latin America consider Saint Death is depicted majority as female who represents death, healing, protection, and safe passage to the afterlife. Similar to the European Grim Reaper.
Edit I should clarify the question relates to Robbie's Hispanic heritage as Mexican-American living in East Los Angeles.
Always wanted to get into comics but never could cuz finding issues was rough growing up. Finally got into spawn with those compendiums(own 3/6) and the predator and alien marvel ones. But I can't seem to find any for ghost rider. Are there any? I found some that only collects specific artists which is rough from a continuity standpoint.
I'm pretty new to Ghost Rider, but I understand he's a pretty prominent Marvel character. Why is it then that the FBI (formerly SHEILD) dedicate supernatural investigator has never heard of him?
Also I really dug the intro premise of this run, with Johnny being gaslit into thinking it was not real, is that a common trope? Seems very different from they 'mythos' trope that 'Trail of Tears' uses. What are Ghost Rider fans thoughts on the gaslighting?
When was the first time Johnny Blaze used the hellfire chains. I read that he pretty much stole Danny Ketchs whole look and abilities. I love and prefer Johnny I would just like to know when he first started to use the chains. I can't seem to find that anywhere.
