About tags on submissions

The Rules of AnimemesHQ

This is what you can expect of this subreddit. Refer to our wiki for a full explanation of the rules.

I. Submissions must be memes

Try to tell a joke. (Unless it's [MM]onday.) Make it short. (Keep things under 5 minutes.)Don't give us a still from an anime and call it a meme. Don't give us a fan-fic and call it a meme.

II. Memes must be weeb

Anime, manga etcetera. The weeb part must be an important part of the meme.

III. Weeb memes must be HQ

Put some effort in. Give us pixels. Make it good.

IV. NSFW and spoilers must be tagged appropriately

NSFW submissions should be tagged with Reddit's NSFW system. Content that is more explicit should also be flaired "LEWD", which results in an 18+ tag on desktop. Such more explicit content must also be hidden in comments. Spoilers in submissions and comments must also be hidden. By typing something between these exact four symbols>!here!<, you can hide text. V. Pass the sauce

Sources must be provided for all submissions. This means a link to where the artist has officially uploaded their content: rehosting sites are allowed but the original creator must be credited. In the case of OC please include "[OC]" in the title of your submission, and if using the reddit redesign also tag the submission as such.

VI. No reposts

Posting something that's already been submitted to Reddit before is only allowed if it's older than a week and has less than 3,000 points, older than 6 months, or your own creation. Read more…

VII. Be nice

As you would on any other subreddit, be sure to follow Reddit's content policy, keep reddiquette guidelines in mind, and refrain from excessive name-calling.
