I just finished watching Neon Genesis Evangelion and The End of Evangelion English Dub on Netflix and I’ve been left feeling depressed, disappointed and disorientated… I watched it because it was so highly rated on MyAnimeList but personally it was my least liked Anime I’ve ever watched.
I was really enjoying it to begin with despite it being older than me, the way it made every fight with the Angels so unique and interesting each time was incredible. I even enjoyed the unique characters which don’t follow the usual Anime tropes that you see in every other Anime. My enjoyment declined however as I got closer and closer to the end.
I understood what was happening, and I did give it my undivided attention but despite that, the physiological dives into each character felt uncomfortable (which was likely on purpose). Especially the last two episodes of the season, it felt like I was under the influence of drugs while watching a power point show presented by everybody else in the room apart from me. I figured the movie would give me a satisfying ending and for the first hour I was kinda fine with it, but then it just got trippy again…
I know that there will be some defenders in the comments, doubting me, disagreeing with me. I’ll respect your opinion, I just really needed to rant. The ending was unsatisfying to me, I’m not a fan of having things so un-concluded, and the one thing I can’t really understand is why Shinji was strangling Asuka at the end so please somebody explain.

I made a post about Roze of the Recapture earlier today, bit honor of the premiere of the first episode, I thought I’d do a Fancast of every announced character. Please tell us a little bit about what dubbed shows you've been watching for the past couple of weeks, or currently watching right now. Old or new, as long as it's dubbed we'd like to hear about it.
Anything good we should look out for? Anything bad we should try to avoid? Tell us a little bit of what you think. It's nice if you elaborate a bit on what it is you like or don't like about a show. That way your comment is useful to people who are looking for new anime to watch. :)
Writing the names of the anime in bold is nice, to make it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names.
Since this is also for people who are looking for new shows to watch, please use the spoilertag if you reveal any mayor plot points of the anime you are discussing (see spoilertag section in the sidebar for info on how).
To prevent low effort comments to steal the spotlight from people who put in a little bit more effort top level comments in this thread must be at least 150 characters long (roughly 3 sentences long).
You can find a list of the previous "Your week in anime dubs" posts here.
Hello, anime fans remember I post about majority of former 4Kids voice actors/NY people working at Bang Zoom?

I avoided watching A Sister's All You Need for years because I thought the title meant it was about incest. It was only through happenstance that I heard about what it's really about and ended up giving it a try and loving it.
This is just my opinion but I really think it's about time Lupin III part 3 (1984 - 85') gets dubbed. I was legit surprised they had managed to dub part 1 as I thought the original master recordings were damaged/corrupted since that was done back in the early 70s and around that time Japan didn't take very good care of recordings until like the mid or late 70s but they did it somehow and I think it's about time they finish all of it (along with finishing up the rest of Part 2). I know Part 3 had some mixed reviews and views I think it got the nick name of the black sheep of Lupin but come on you gotta dub all of it. I mean for the longest time it was parts 2, 4, 5, 6, and the various spin-off films that you could watch dubbed but now part 1 finally got it so now onto part 3 finish it, lord I hate licensing issues. I'm sure Discotek and TMS could get the job done.

Amber Lee Connors had been one of my favorite VA's especially during the Funimation days when she was still a regular based in Dallas, (her last Funimation role was in Girls' Frontline when remote recording was still a thing) but it seems since moving to LA in 2020, most of her anime appearances have been LA dubs with her notable ones being Komi Can't Communicate, Shield Hero and recently Undead Unluck. In addition, she's also focused working on video games. I have to be honest, I really miss her in Texas dubs, so is there any possibility she comes back to do dubs with now "FuniRoll" (and maybe even with Sentai) again? If there have been a few LA VA's such as Kaiji Tang, Kristen McGuire, Adam McArthur, and Aleks Le who were able to get cast in CR dubs, why not Amber too?
