Cedacrest Hospitals is a RED FLAG

They are huge time wasters, who in all the consultations I’ve had with them make you waste time, and suggest useless or avoidable procedures for extra money. For something easily solvable that can be done at home they get you to come every week for months, so you pay not only fuel but a 15k consultation fee each time

Ofc most Nigerian hospitals do that a bit, but why will I wait 4 hours (since 10am ) because I want to do a physical only to see a doctor for 5 minutes, who literally told me I have to come back tomorrow morning for the tests, then tomorrow afternoon to see him. Then for the tests I could do today the receptionist wanted to keep me waiting an indefinite amount of time, while he attended to himself and people who came hours after me, just for him to tell me the name of the test and where I should go to take it

So that’s 15k and 6 hours of my life wasted, with literally no food, and a flat phone battery. Just for the receptionist to tell me I’m “not being grateful” as if I wasn’t patient for hours while he ignored and didn’t try and solve the problem, as if he didn’t waste my time to print two pieces of paper. Then later they’ll tell you to recommend their hospital to someone else, while receptionists carry baseless audacity and useless pride to talk to a paying customer, who has brought over 5 patients to their establishment

Hotels in Abuja

Hi, I have been travelling to Abuja for almost six months now for business and have usually stayed at the Hilton. For the last month, I have started looking at other hotels as an alternate so stayed at Nordic Villa and hotels but their internet and electricity is quite unreliable.

What are the other good alternate to Hilton in the city with reasonably good internet and not frequent electricity cuts?

Is Centenary City Still a Thing?

Several years ago, there was a lot of hype about a planned development off Airport Road called Abuja Centenary City.

It was supposed to be a tax free zone, with a wildlife reserve, golf course, etc, and they had several different housing options to choose from.

I was planning to buy a house there, and had been saving for a while.

It seems all news of it has ground to a halt, and I was hoping that someone here might have heard of it or was similarly invested.

Is anyone also planning to buy in Centenary City?

Or have you already purchased with them?

Even if you've just been to the site and know how far along they've come or whether it's been abandoned, that would be an excellent update.

Looking for female housemate in Abuja

Hello guys, I recently moved to Abuja and the housing pricing is no joke. I am looking for a female housemate to rent a 2 bedroom with, which would be relatively cheaper.

Abuja voices needed!

Hi Abuja!

I'm a student working with Columbia University and the University of Cambridge on an international project about whether people think the internet should be regulated. My friend and colleague is Nigerian and I would love to see some representation from Abuja both for the project and for him! We're just a couple of students trying really hard on our first big collaborative project.

If you would like to help us out and represent Abuja and Nigeria to the world, we would be so thankful! Please check out the project here! Thank you and I hope you all have a great day.

Road Works

Ranting here, the roadworks being done in "band A" areas of the city are soooo inconvenient, I commend wake for fixing the roads but why couldn't these repairs have been planned better, Asokoro was gridlocked from Friday up until Monday because some genius felt it made sense to shut down all the exits out of the district
