Hey yall I am going to take my ACT in a few days and am wondering if I could put some programs in my calculator. But I don't know if the invisilator will ask me to clear my ram. Can someone please clear this for me? (Please make sure it is a official rule because I dont want to be disqualified when the test comes around.)
This spring I finally decided to go to college for the first time after finally figuring out what I want to do career wise. I plan to go to transfer to another college in fall that requires me to take the ACT. My problem is I have been out of school for awhile so I definitely need practice in all areas where should I begin? Should I take online practice tests, buy act prep books? I was hoping someone could direct me in the right direction as it seems overwhelming.
Thanks.
Hey test takers, As we approach the summertime, I’ve been thinking about taking the ACT 2-3 times before I have to start applying to colleges.
For any seasoned test takers, if you could have planned your testing methods in 3 months what would they have been like? Is it better to cram in a few weeks (all or nothing) or to do intervals of studying for months???
Has anybody gotten their score yet? Do we think they could come out tomorrow? That would be 2 weeks on the dot. Update: I’ve also had the short message now for a few days.
I’ve had a lot of different calculators and other stuff that it could be completely different answers, and I don’t know how it actually works.
What is the definitive scores scores?
How can I get act science improving teacher manual??
My parents often talk about how the act is just mostly accepted by midwest colleges, and that you need to sat for elsewhere. Is this still the case because it feels outdated?
If it is, what regions are act vs sat? And if I want to go to college in the Pacific Northwest or New England area should I swap to the sat?
Hi!! So, my free ACT that my school provides is in like a day. I have been trying to figure out how to do the math portion of the test but I literally do not know how. I just can’t understand it. I’m currently in algebra 2 and took geometry last year. I get/got good grades in both classes, but for some reason I just cannot understand the math on any practice tests.
What should I do??? I know I can retake the ACT as many times as I need (I am super super thankful that I’m able to do this) but I still really want to do well on this test.
I’m aiming for AT LEAST a 26 like bare minimum yk.. but I just am not sure if that’ll be possible. I also have never taken a fr pre ACT test, only like little online tests.
Does anyone have links for free websites / videos that include math practice problems similar to the level of difficulty from questions 50-60?
So my math scores have been pretty good on practices (34 range), but my science has slowly been sinking down (last science was a 27- fml). Anyone have any good tips or strategies? Hoping for a 35 superscore :) Currently have 30 science, 29 math, 36 engish 36 reading
im a junior
but its not bc i failed we've just have been constantly moving (ive been to 5 different high schools😭)
i havent taken geometry or algebra 2 at all, am i cooked
i got a 21-22 version cause it was $5 on thriftbooks does it really matter that much?
I took the ACT on march 21st, and I haven’t received my scores yet; however, all of my peers have. For context, it was rescheduled from 3/19 to 3/21, and I have accommodations as a type 1 diabetic. According to some research I’ve done, these factors might delay the release, but apparently diabetic accommodations haven’t for others, as a diabetic friend of mine got his scores when everyone else did. It has been 17 days, and I’m both confused and worried. Any thoughts or explanations?
Edit: For clarity, my test date was moved from Tuesday 3/19 to Thursday 3/21 on 3/19 due to some diabetic complications.
I have been doing a Kaplan self paced act prep course and I have been studying almost every day doing practice test banks consisting of 15 questions. I struggle immensely with timed tests, and specifically I struggle the most with the English portion and science portion and I have studied them the most. I have done 2 real practice tests and here we're my scores for the second: 25 English, 28 math, 32 reading, 25 science. I feel no matter how much I study and I can't get good scores. Also I have a 3.95 unweighted gpa, taken 6 APs, going to school through the university of Minnesota for half of my senior year classes, in 3 clubs, in 2 sports, and studying abroad in Portugal for 3 weeks this summer, and 20+ volunteering hours at food shelter. I am interested in going to Tulane or a similar prestigious school. Do I need the act , considering I am probably not gonna do well. What should I do?
Gonna start studying now...! Do you think its possible 😭?? Drop the the wesbites for ACT practice tests pls.
science drags down my score so much. I took a practice test and got 35 on reading and English, 32 on math, and 27 in science! Please provide some tips to ensure good timing and comprehension of the experiments and graphs. Thanks!!!!
Anyone has links to full test walk through videos?
