Remember waking up one morning, coming downstairs, walking past your bookcase with little critter books and the like, going past your toy chest with Mouse Trap and Perfection, pouring yourself a bowl of fruit shaped trix cereal, turning on the tv to watch Hey Arnold, Doug, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, going outside to play water guns and troll dolls with your best friend, and trade baseball and pokemon cards, while enjoying a ring pop?

When I was in middle school I always wanted the cool stuff at the book fairs like the constellation projector or magic kits and I recall a magic kit I got with a purple bottle and rope trick, a penny and matchbook trick and it had an eyeball ring included. I have tried to google it to find. I kept so much stuff from my childhood but sadly some stuff was thrown away. Hoping some pack rat my age saved something like this 😂
Please help me identify this song. It is on a mixtape from 1995 but I cannot find it anywhere. Maybe Frente/Angie Hart?listen to song
Does anyone remember the novelty toys you could get that looked like snakes, and you could put it into water and it unwraps into a shirt? I feel like a memory was unlocked recently and I cannot find it online. Thanks!
I'm trying to remember a very, very fuzzy memory I have of playing a computer game sparsely right in the early 2000s but it was a 90s game.
It was a kids game, and like many learning games in that genre it had several minigames, of which I remember two.
In one, you would make food, I believe it was cookies. You would mix & match certain ingredients and try to make them correctly.
Edit: It looked like this: https://imgur.com/OMA497m
The second & more interesting minigame was watching day & night pass by every day for the life of this random kid. I don't remember much but you could see into his house, even though it was zoomed out to more of a street view. It was 2D but viewing from the site. You could see the street, the house & the kid moving around in it. It also had dates (e.g. April 3, 1997) and you could set the date & how quickly time went by. It would even say the daily temperature which I thought was pretty cool.
I believe I played it on an old Windows 98 or Windows 2000 tower gifted from a friend so I don't have the tower or CD at all, anywhere.

So I am starting a podcast around nerdom and experiencing different media for the first time, as well as rewatching those geeky guilty pleasures that we each have. It is specifically focused around tv, movies and games. I would really like to explore some of peoples favourite cartoons from the 80s/90s/00s: what ,are them good? What were your initial reactions etc…
I am made a huge list of shows and films I would like to watch for the first time Or rewatch as an adult, as then discuss these with other people. I would like to know if any of you find people would want to be a guest on the podcast and if so what would be your topic of choice?
If you are interested or just want to shoot me some suggestions for cartoon that I may not have on my list please feel free to respond or DM me.
If you are interested in appearing on the podcast let me know what topics areas, I would also need you to have access to half decent microphone of some sorts and potentially video calls, but I’m not sure on that just yet. I am in the UK but I can try to work around your times.
Can anyone help me? I only remember what the book is about and not the title. There was a crow that wanted to be different and he got his wish and turned into this big colorful golden bird and a queen saw him and wanted him to come with her so he did and she put him in a cage. He regretted wishing to be something different so he plucked out all this feathers and she let him out cause he was ugly again and he flew back to his crow friends. And I remember it had shiny parts to the book. Please help me, it’s been bugging me for years!
Does anyone remember being a kid and jumping on a trampoline that had a blue area around the outer side of that mat that was almost “firmer”, when you jumped there you would jump higher? I swear this was a thing but can’t find ANY evidence of it.
