Anyone else finding the new FB messenger update confusing with the new Meta AI thing? I remember MSN and AOL, back when we had Dial-up, and Google and YouTube didn't exist. iPhones and smartphones weren't around, lime wire was where most of us got our music, unfortunately caused viruses. Our parents had mixed cassette tapes, that they recorded from the radio, while we had burned CDs. Social media wasn't a thing and we had to talk to people face to face, or have mom yell at you to get off the Internet so she could use the phone. Myspace was fun back in 2007, customizing your own profile page how you wanted it, adding a music playlist and teaching us kids how to essentially create our own webpages. Us late 80s and 90's kids experienced a technological revolution between the end of the 20th century through the start of the 21st century. We're constantly adapting and learning from the newer generations, just as we're also teaching what we've learned to the new generation. I'm not saying any generation is better than the other cuz we had toys and products that were proven to be dangerous, and don't get me started with the terrifying animatronic Furbies, where the first release had a lot of defective ones. We had Techno, creepy crawlies, pogs, start of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. Our grandparents knocked eachother out with yo-yos, and took their eyes out with jacks or that ball in string cup toy. All in all we're all pretty dumb at first because we have to try in order fail and try again and again to succeed and make a better outcome. Granted people have got hurt or died doing something in order for people to realize yeah let's not do that or yeah now we know. Common sense and street smarts have dwindled, but I would gladly have a 20ish year old help show how to work something on my phone or computer that they can figure out in mere seconds or minutes that is 30-40 yr olds spend forever looking it up and Google sends you to unrelated pages that have nothing to do with what what your looking up, and get overly frustrated, but little cousin Johnny finds the answer or fixes what you need like it's second nature. Then they try to push a pull door. Certain things like that fascinate me that our kids our teaching us and our parents who our now grandparents, yet there are a few eating Tide pods. There are also some pretty inept 30-60 year olds as well. You can't blame a generation on how today's society is because every generation past present and future has molded from eachother. Anyway FB messenger is annoying and I hope I'm not the only one having the same issue with the update.

P.S. the 90s had the best cartoons just saying.

What can we learn about the 90s to improve today?

The return to a simpler time obviously comes in part from a place of nostalgia but not everything improves over time. What can we learn from the 90's to improve the current age? How could we apply that? What are your thoughts?

1995 The Limited Too Winterscapes Hokiday Fashion VHS (1995)

This is a long shot, but I have searching high and low online for this VHS. The Limited / Limited Too did a cool VHS Fashion show and I had a friend in it. This was 1995. I used to own the VHS but my parents threw it out apparently

Does anyone remember this?! Or even better…. Anyone still have this VHS?

1990's BattleMech TV Movie/show

So I'm trying to remember the name of a TV movie/show that was broadcast on the Sci-Fi channel in the early/mid 90's. It was basically Mechwarrior, but with a different name (it was NOT BattleTech, Robo Jox, or Robot wars). It utilized CGI for the mech battles, but had live actors for the parts involving people. From the little bit I remember about the storyline, it was mech pilots doing battle in a pseudo competition style situation in a post appololypic wasteland, but the losing side/team could be killed in the battle.

Anybody remember this?

How did waiting rooms, restaurants, and outdoor areas seem different in the 90’s, what was different in their appearance and surroundings, and what made them so great?

90’s folks, how did things such as the ones I listed above look and feel different in your times compared to now?
