Now that’s what I call high class, rate my setup🤨
How reliable is this printer compared to other printers and how often does problems arrive
I am a complete beginner in the world of 3d printing.
Few days ago, I bought a new Creality K1 Max printer.
The first few items printed with Creality HyperPLA were phenomenal.
The 30mm 3D cube for calibration from the printer's internal memory was printed perfectly, the measurements are 30mm plus minus some small measurement error.
However, my heat bad was +0.70 and -0.25, so I tried to level it and print those little wheels for like manual leveling. When first batch of wheels came out, I was shocked how deformed was small holes. Looked like small egg :(
Then I designed one ring and tried to print it with some wheels, cylinders, etc.
My copy of the K1 Max prints circles that are not completely round, and on the side of the circle opposite to the seam, some strange artifact appears - the outer wall of the object is deformed, which can be seen in my pictures.
After short researching, I was that belts are mostly responsible for this problem. So I tried to reduce the tension of the belts. They were factory about 150 and 148Hz left and right. I turned both down to about 120 Hz and problem is now even a bit worse.
I used two apps, one Apple and one Android, both showed the same frequency, so I don't think I made a mistake there.
I really don't know what to do other? I wrote to Creality support but who know when they will answer. I need printer to print something circular right now and unfortunately I don't have time to waste :(
I would add that I thoroughly inspect my printer and all screews are tight and there not any visible deformations, malfunctions etc. Printer really looks great!
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hello!
I'm trying to replicate this necklace. It's shark teeth with the jaw bone attached
Does anyone know someone who can 3d print the teeth in Langley BC? Or a website that would work with me to do this? Also not crazy expensive would be nice
Thank you!
So I've been 3d printing for years. Creality, elegoo, anycubic, bambu lab. I still don't understand what hueforge is. I have a bambu lab AMS unit. Can someone please explain like I'm 5? Thanks!
What settings should I tweak for better results?
Looking for a Canadian company that can print a few small resin pieces that I need to complete a project I’ve been working on? Any ideas here?
So, I just replaced my heater assembly and nozzle. Using a P1P with a 0.4 nozzle, PETG that has been fully dried and dialed in pre-nozzle replacement. This is a custom model I made in fusion 360. Bambu Lab is really insistent that it does not require supports, and I’ve tried to force it (after this print) to add more by adjusting the angle threshold with little success. I have not reprinted yet. Thank you in advance :)
(Ender 3 pro) Got a new hotend assembly and don’t know which side goes in which. The wires aren’t colored either so idk which way it goes in the control board 😭
Hi all, I’m fairly new to 3D printing and recently my prints have started to decline in quality. For example, my printer just can’t print a perfect circle. Does anyone know why this happens?
I'm tired of painting by hand and I unfortunately don't have the correct color spray paints and I was wondering if it would be a smart idea to buy an airbrush to apply my models?
Hi everyone, I've been trouble shooting this for a little bit and can't seem to find a solution.
For a while, I have noticed that my printer's smear line has been just off the left side of the bed - still touching, but on the edge far enough that it bunches up on the nozzle and requires me to quickly clean it up before the first layer can reliably print. This wasn't a huge deal until I printed something much larger and noticed that my entire X-axis appears to be offset in the negative direction by at least a few millimeters and realized that this might be the root of my problem.
I'm a bit new to 3D printing, so I'm not entirely sure what to search. In case it's relevant, I'm using Lychee Slicer and Octoprint.
I'm sort of hoping that the problem/solution is a simple hardware adjustment rather than G-code related, or maybe some setting on the printer that I have missed. I have recently done leveling with an A4 paper as well.
Thanks!
Hello, I'm noticing my build plate is getting quite dirty and i seem to be having a hard time getting things to come off of it. Do you guys have any advice on how to properly clean this? Or should it just be replaced at this point?
I just realized I seem to have printed my Motorcycle Parts with PLA instead of PETG by accident, but I al sure I used PETG temps for it. Is it possible for the print to come out find with such high temps with generic PLA? Thanks a lot
I mean it does melt and harden to a certain degree
I’ve had it for a little over 3 years and I’ve been running into issues with constantly. Ive been getting more frustrated with it every time. Last month, off of someone’s recommendation, I bought the FLSUN V400 and have loved it ever since.
Today I ran into another issue with the 10 smart where the screen stopped working despite trying to update the firmware. While originally I thought ok I can just get a new screen, it hit me that I don’t know if it’s worth it to keep fixing mistakes that seem to pop up every other day
Is the CR-10 Snart worth keeping or should I look at selling it? If the latter, what are some websites or other places that I could look at to seek it?
I was looking at some build plates on Fabreeko and West3d, is there any advantages of buying one of their print sheets for like 50-75 dollars vs an amazon/ali express pei sheet for like 20 dollars? I don't mind spending more money if it makes a difference in quality of sticking.
