It’s always so fun to see things come to life in the real world! Sculpted this odd - shaped graveyard set for Hexhog Tabletops. I think it’s got all the shapes needed to be able to build any right angle layout on hex based tiles.
You know the small sarcophagi have removable lids for hiding treasure or monsters :)
This is a new set of terrain that I made link in the comments. I worked really hard to make this set easy to print and semi-modular. Also you have the option to magnetize each piece! Thanks for listening.
I got into 3D printing a few months ago and have gone through many paid and free websites trying to find specific files for terrain and minis and I realized that it took quite a bit of effort to find some of these pieces! I'd like to get a list started that includes both paid and free sources for files which are categorized by tiles, scatter terrain, minis etc. I'll edit as there are more comments and hopefully we can all help each other out.

Thingiverse - They cover almost every category, instead I will be linking specific creators.

I understand that this list is small at the moment, I'd like to do this for the community but I will also need your guys help.
I've printed out some very cool terrain using silk filaments. What I've noticed is that a few of them warp shape over time. How do I avoid that happening? Do they just need to be stored better or would it stop doing that if I print with a higher infill initially? Or something else?
Also, occasionally some parts break on accident, is there a glue that works good with mending them back together? I've tried Krazy glue and gorilla glue but to no avail.
Thanks!
Hey!
Just stumbled upon some posts that some people have their PLA prints crumble after 4-5 years.
Is this true? Slight panic mode activated if my prints are going to turn to dust in the future.
I'm using Elegoo PLA and about to start painting a huge town for Mordheim.
What do you guys think? And do you reckon us painting our pieces will give them a longer life span?
I just caught my AK Kobra mid-print, printing into the air. I was wondering about a print yesterday that said was finished but was printed only half way, now I know why.
Strangely I printed a 4 hour job after that with no issue with different filament. The one that failed was around 3-4 hours as well.
It seems that my nozzle is not clogged from the get go due to dust and if it were to irregularities in the spool it should keep going but „overflow“ ending up with a bunch of wasted filament, right? Also I used 3/4 of that spool a while back with no issues.
I’m getting new filament today, so I might just try that on a longer print to rule it out.
So I’m thinking some sort of thermal issue after a while, how can I verify that?
I've invested in the openforge system for flooring and walls. I'd love to find an easy way to add torch lights to the walls in a modular way. Openforge has torch light walls but I would prefer not to have to print tiles just for the torch lights. I'm envisioning a light that clips onto an existing wall, with the torch on one side and the battery holder on the other side. Does something like that or another easy way to add powered torches exist?
I'm thinking of getting some clear PLA to print the flame parts of some Dragonlock LED dungeon torch walls, but it's hard to justify a whole roll for just the one thing, so I'm wondering if people here have any suggestions for what else I could use it for (given that I have multiple transparent paints that can tint anything printed). The only other thing I've thought of so far has been to print LED crystals for an underdark board I've had in the works for ages.
