Hi everyone!
Next year I’m launching a side hustle as a personal coach. I’m about to complete my certification and am looking for motivated people ready to do something great for their health in the new year.
Let me know if you’re interested, and feel free to spread the word. Since I’m just starting out, my rates will be decent 😊
Hello dear community from Zug. I visited today and I liked the place. Further I will move for work here, and am looking for an appartement 2- 3 rooms. About 2K/m bugdet. I've noticed appartement are very expensive and rare in Zug directly, so in the region I'm looking for a quiet place with nature around. Which place would be the best around Zug (15 minutes train would be ok). Also I would like someone on the place to search for an appartement for me (Vertretung) do you know someone I can ask for it ?
Hi all, my parents (non-European) are getting old and don‘t have much local support in their country so I‘m thinking of bringing them to Zug. They should still be able to live independently for now. Has anyone done here done something similar? What are the average costs (assuming they’ll have higher monthly medical insurance than me; not sure if Gemeinde will contribute to care services as they haven’t lived in a Gemeinde here long. Not even sure how easy it is to get elderly parents into the country (I’m on a permit c). Thoughts welcome!
Hi all
Anyone know where in zug, more specifically aegeri area I can walk my dog off leash? I’m struggling to find info on the rules.
And does anyone know which days are hunting days? I will obviously try and avoid those days.
Hello everyone!
After many years in Zurich, I may have the chance to move to Canton Zug for work. As you all know, finding apartments at reasonable prices in Zug is quite hard, and so it is in Zurich.
So, I'm looking to exchange my current Zurich 3.5-room apartment (1760 CHF/month for 72m2) in Zurich city, for an apartment in Zug canton with 3.5 to 4.5 rooms at less than 2250 CHF/month.
Old apartments are a good fit, if they are well-maintained.
We are a family of 3, have no pets, and we do not smoke.
More info about the apartment:
It is located in the 110 Zone (Zurich city)
It is on the ground floor
Every room has windows (including the bathroom)
The living room has a balcony
The zone is residential and very well-served
If you are looking to move to Zurich and are interested in an exchange, please drop a line.
Hi there, I am Germany right now but I am looking for a job in zug with accommodation.
I work here as a kitchen assistant for almost 2 years.
I'm a tech guy (ex-Amazon, Google) looking to go on my own. I'm sure there are plenty entrepreneurs around here. We are you hanging?
I'm in my mid 30s, single guy, planning a move to Zug for work. I have my own business in finance, currently in the French speaking side of Switzerland.
I was curious how's life there ? I like sports, outdoor things, going out / partying, I was wondering if on social / dating side Zug will maybe be too boring so I was curious to have people's opinion. Work wise I'm pretty sure for finance it's going to be great.
How is it for expats ? I don't speak Swiss German yet but plan on taking lessons as soon as I arrive to integrate.
Any other thing I may have forgotten ? I realize real estate is expensive but then not much more expensive than Geneva / Lausanne it seems.
Thanks for your help !
I'm looking for a nice place in Zug or nearby (not Zurich ideally) that offers foot massage + pedicure, or hair treatment + massage. I'm not interested in Thai massages, but something softer and more relaxing. Thank you!
I’m currently renting a nice 2.5 in Zurich centre for a very good price (i.e. 1.7k / month); but I am looking to move to Zug at some point in the next months.
If anyone is in the opposite situation and would consider an apartment swap, feel free to reach out
Hi, I will be in Zug next week and I am looking for a running track to run on for an hour to train. Is Herti Stadium open to public, or is other 400m track open?
Thank you
Hello all,
I would like to do some adjustments to a suit that I think are difficult. I can wait and do it in Milan next time I go there, but it would take too long to get it back.
Any experiences with this tailor at Metalli?
Thanks!!
Does anyone have a recommendation/contact for a good and reliable cleaning lady? Thanks in advance!
I (M, 34) would like to buy a gym membership in Zug or Baar. What would you recommend? My objective is to gain a bit of muscles (im 190 cm tall and 78 kg), I'm quite athletic already, but could gain a bit more quality weight. I worked out in Migros Eichstätte and Fitdich before, but didn't like much either of them. I have no limits on a budget and I would like to have a personal trainer. An additional perk would be a possibility to meet hot athletic girls in the gym, but it's not the main objective. If they have a sauna and a swimming pool, then it's also a plus. That's why I'm thinking of going back to Migros Eichstätte, but may be there's something else? I don't have any special requests in terms of equipment and can stick to whatever excercises my trainer recommends me. I could consider even driving somewhere, but not more than half an hour one way. I live next to Stadtgrenze between Zug and Baar.
I'm searching for the best bread :)
Hello everyone, I'll be moving to Switzerland in 2 weeks. I am thinking of moving to Zug for 2 months then switch to Geneva. So, I am thinking get all the administrative tasks done for the first 2 months such as getting permit B and open a bank account. I am wondering do I have to announce my departure if I move to a different Canton such as Geneva. Because I know technically even change address within Canton, the permit B needs to be reissued. But it doesn't seem normal because EU has a free-move agreement with Switzerland, and I am a bit surprise why we need to declare even just move from one street to another within the same city. Thanks ahead !
So I don’t want people to miss out as it’s one of the best things I have seen here for quite some time.
It’s called Speakeasy Magic and it’s a 1920’s speakeasy, hidden away in a dark part of Zug where you need a password to get in. Once your in, your taken into a 1920’s speakeasy world with smooth live jazz with some incredible magic. You are seated at a bar table of up to 8 and the magicians come to each individual table and do 15 mins of tricks each. Despite being right in front of your eyes, the tricks are mind blowing.
Highly recommend it to everyone!! I’m not related to this production in any way, I just went yesterday and loved it.
Dear members,
Some cantons have what's called "concubinage permit", which grants a residency/work permit for a non-EU partner. As far as I could find on Google, the B Permit holder shall be financially responsible for that person.
Does canton Zug have a similar permit? How a non-EU partner can legally live and work in canton Zug?
Thank you for your attention.
I am pretty sure it closed a few years back cuz of health safety reasons, and I cannot for the life of me remember the name.
At the beach between Zug and Cham. To play the 2 vs 2 they play there. Someone with a good level is a plus.
I'm 27, speak French / English fluently. But I'm learning German. Have played volleyball a bit in club in the past.
if you know someone who is looking for a flatmate or knows someone who rents a single apartment, let me know.
I am looking for the cheapest possible place to live in Zug (around CHF 1500) and found some cooperative building with good prices, like Gewoba and Familia ZUG.
Does anyone estimate how long would it take to finally rent a place?
They say the waiting times are long, and some also need a payment to become a member and then be able to rent something.
My kids need to go to fucking school in the morning. Fortunately one has stayed asleep, but what the fuck is this shit. 1.5 hours.....
