Excuse the quality of my voice lmao. Am I yodeling here? I'm not asking if I'm doing it properly or well, rather just yodeling at all?
I have found these wonderful ladies in a couple of other music threads, but not here.
My favorite of theirs is :
I left her standing there
With a doo dad in her hair
Is World Yodel Day. That makes today the day after World Yodel Day!
I wasn’t into it at all, but was hoping at least trying to yodel might help repair our relationship. The best friend I ever had passed away while we breaking up. Yodeling brought me back to life. She also said “Real yodeling, not that mumbo jumbo stuff.” You won’t learn your limitations without trying to yodel just as loud as you possibly can. I wasn’t getting anywhere. Researched everything I could find. Technically, it’s just the cracking of the voice. When I picked up a guitar and tried to yodel to that, is when everything began to take form. Listening to Yodeling Slim Clark helped me realize not to try and fit the song to a yodel, but to fit the yodel to a song. Suddenly, I had more song ideas than I could write, and now even have a radio show where I yodel five nights a week on an FM radio station. I found this the best to learn with, for what I hoped to accomplish:

That video is not of me!
This is how far I’ve gotten with my yodel. I feel it’s too gentle and needs the booming tone to really make the yodel pop and sound good. Taking @nativecyborg ‘s advice to try to sing from my belly more than my chest or throat.
I’ve got the voice break, I’ve been mastering more and more complex and fast syllable runs, but my voice is just soft and I don’t get that real dramatic yodel tone. Is that just something I need to work on in my singing voice in general or is there a secret to authentic yodel tone? I hear 11-year-olds nailing it so I must be able to…

I'm trying to find the name of this song and I'm pretty sure this is a yodeling folk song based on the song, so I wanted to know if anyone here knows the name?
We have a tag team match tonight ! Franzl " Der Jodlerkönig " Lang accompanied by Takeo " The chicken yodeler " Ischii against Thomas " The virtuoso " Scholl and Peter " The cowboy " Hinnen ! What a beautiful match ahead ! Who will won ??? You decide !
Hey there, I’ve just found a new singer I like who does a bit of yodelling and It’s inspired me to try to learn. I’m female, have a bit of a natural “twang” in my voice. Is there any tips for starting out? Any good artists or songs that are easy to learn from?
As far as I can tell the only difference (besides the melody types) is when you yodel you use the break in your voice more and most yodelers I know have songs memorized not making it up as they go, but also some Lilting is a memorized song too. ..
What are your opinions?
Don Edwards yodels like a champ here.
Trying to figure out how to learn this technique but I can’t find it anywhere. Any help is appreciated.
I once heard a recording of a cowboy who talked about all the different types reginal yodels and then he also did them each as he talked about this. almost like a seminar talking about each of them and their different sounds and how they are performed. he also imitated the yodels as well some of them were really impressive.
I listen to this maby 20 years ago on cowboy country societies radio station that is no longer in service.
I recently visited Hawaii and decided to check out some Hawaiian music, which is absolutely great stuff. As someone who enjoys yodeling, I noticed that there were some of the elements of yodeling like switching between head and singing voice, and it definitely scratched that yodeling itch for me!
I hope you enjoy as much as I do!
