Dear all,
Thank you for your replies to the previous post. I just had another follow-up question about public transport. Do busses around the town run regularly and on time? I was thinking of using public transport for commuting and primarily looking at bus routes 81 and 51. I understand that the busses can be late sometimes but drawing from previous experiences in other parts of the SW, they have been quite okay (in my humble opinion). However, I am not sure how it looks like in Yeovil.
Thanks.
Nothing too crazy just one or 10 drinks.
Hi,
I am visiting from Canada and I was wondering what people usually do on monday nights here? I'm not too fussy and always down for a drink!
Thank you
Around the Hospital/College area. She hasn't been home in a few days which is really out of character for her.
Hi! I am coming down to Yeovil for a day to do some property viewings as I will be moving here at some point this year. I have a couple of viewings lined up and was wondering what public transport is like. I don't have my car with me, so I will rely on public transport to get around for the day. Are there any bike hires or something like that?
Cheers!
Hi, I’m looking at moving to Yeovil. Great opener because I’ve read all the advice saying “don’t”. I don’t have a car so for at least a while I’d be living in the town, I’d appreciate any advice on if there are any areas I should avoid living in, and any areas which are worth looking at. Thanks!
How many do you remember?
Hello, we are a group of psychology researchers from the University of Kent, UK. It would be a huge help if anyone from Britain who is interested would fill out our quick survey (18+ years old only) about your views of refugees.
Fill out the survey here: https://universityofkent.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4U6y8pi1se8YjrM
We are posting here because we hope to collect responses from British participants with various political perspectives and backgrounds. Please let us know if you would like a summary of your responses once the data collection is complete.
The survey takes ~7 minutes to complete, and we are happy to respond to any queries or questions. Please private message us to avoid giving away the point of the study to others.
Thanks for your time.
Edit: The survey is now closed! Thank you very much for your time.
I'm trying to make friends with people at work and they don't seem to wanna know 🙃 Are there any places I'm missing? Feeling quite lonely in this town after moving back here after living up north for a while. People don't seem to be open to wanting new friends? I'm relatively normal (I think) . Enjoy nature, walks, beach, few bevs, little pot smoke on hills. Where is everyone? Some clubs or anything to get to know people?
Messaged quite a few and still have no luck finding one because I am only available during weekends... TIA
The state of the high street in yeovil is shocking! Ok so they are spending loads on developing it, pointless if all the shops are still empty! How about the council licence the shops for food and drink and bars etc and put loads of chairs and tabes and plants outside like europe? That would get the town buzzing again! Cant be worse than the million barber shops we have.
Hey all. I live in Yeovil well very close by I to a smaller town couple years back. Born here lived away most my life been back 5-6 years.
Wondered if people from Yeovil got any traction or even fuck with Reddit at all.
Wondering any like minded forward thinking people about? Just a post. Bless up all
Hi, I'm travelling tomorrow by train, and need to transfer from Penn Mill to Junction, would I be able to walk this easily in an hour, or waould a taxi/bus be best?
Many thanks!
**Edit: There is a minibus between the two every hour!**
In Yeovil bored
Drove past the site of Pittards yesterday and noticed it is for sale. What do we think would be good to go in it's place? I'm thinking something like an Outlet Shopping Centre, nothing massive but enough to bring people in to the area could be good!
Hi everyone,I am the co-founder of Ganddee, a sustainable lifestyle app. Think of it as the Google Maps for sustainable places. While other platforms promote new green products, we believe that sustainable consumption should also include second-hand shops, charity shops, rental places, etc., in addition to sustainable new products. We feature around 2,000 physical stores and hundreds of online businesses in UK, some offering special discounts.
I would love to receive feedback on the app and would be grateful if you could suggest any 2nd hand, rental, repair stores, food coops, vegan restaurants, sustainable stores(you submit we do the verification), etc in Yeovil. We have been relying on our community to suggest new places and inspire each other. All the suggestions can be done through app.
If you are a owner of a sustainable store, I would love to connect and explore how I can help you reach a wider audience.
