I have a brand-new Yamaha MT-03, and yesterday I rode in the rain. How important is it to clean and lubricate the chain after riding in the rain? I'm new to motorcycling, so any advice is welcome.
Hello just wondering if anybody can identify the missing plug on my carb/ whats not plugged in. I got the quad about a month ago but I just took the carb off to give the bike a refresh before next season. Thanks.
There's the blue wire connector right above it that makes me wonder if I need a new plug and to just reconnect some wires.
If I change the intrument cluster on a MT09 does the new one need to be programmed into the bike or is it just plug and play?
Can’t wait for the lighter nights and warmer weather in the UK!
What’s the best place to get aftermarket fairings from? Fitment wise
I have a 2018 R6 that I just replaced the rear subframe of and after removing all the wiring and putting it back together I turned it on and it wouldn't rev over 1k and just stay stuck on it. It was perfectly fine beforehand.
I recently installed the Vortex V3 2.0 on my 2016 R6. Now my rear brakes are spongy. I tried bleeding them to no avail, still spongy.
Has anyone ever had this issue? Any tips for getting air out of the line with these rear sets?
Hello,
Yamaha FZ1 2008
The clutch locking nut keeps coming loose by the clutch arm on that little bracket with a nut either side, not the lever end.
I can only just about tighten it with my finger because there is no space to fit a spanner on there. It just vibrates loose after a while.
I lift the tank to access it but literally cannot fit any tool in there.
How bad is it to have the second nut (closest to clutch arm) loose. It doesn't seem to cause any issues currently, but i don't get how I could tighten this properly.
This adjustment bracket is in a really awkward place to reach. Any ideas on how to tighten it more than finger tight are much appreciated.
Thinking of adding a set of Oxfords grips to my Tracer9.
Just wondering if anyone had done this and which heated grips they went for?
Cheers
I just picked up an 03 R6. Everything seems fine except for a check engine light that comes on while riding at about 10+ mph. Sometimes it turns off, Sometimes it stays on. The engine isn't running rough and power isn't being cut. The guy said it started after he changed the turn signals. Any ideas on a fix?
Hey guys, A friend of mine wants to upgrade his current Akrapovic slip on to a full exhaust system. Since he doesn't like the look of the Akrapovic and prefers the Sc Project slip ons, is there a way to get the Akrapovic headers (or any other) and combine them with the SC project slip on?

For those that started on a r7, how was it? Any surprises/ letdowns? Is the torque really that scary ? Just would like to know how people experience was starting with it.
So I’m pretty new to this bike and it is my first motorcycle ever. More so just out of curiosity what causes the huge jump in power right at 8K RPM? From what I’ve read the velocity stacks begin opening at around 13.5K RPM and I can feel that as-well. I’m assuming at 8K the power band just starts kicking in a little?
2025 MT-07 Ice Storm. This thing is so sexy. I’m a 33M big broad shouldered guy weighting about 290-300 5’9”. Hopefully should be a nice commuter. Looking to put a quick shifter on her as well as an aftermarket exhaust.
Subtle static white noise coming from speakers. I can only hear it if I’m up close to the tweeters. I could understand 2 but all 4 of them? Sounds weird. I tried different outlets and the sound still persists. The HS5 are on my dj mixer and the HS80M are on my studio. Please help!!is this normal for these Yamahas?
I just bought a Roadliner today and rode it home. It was really nice and powerful at normal riding. However, on the highway at around 75 to 80 mph when I applied full throttle bike revved higher but not a strong pull. It almost felt like it didn't have enough power. At a gentle throttle, it was accelerating pretty decent at a slow rate but when I was trying to pass a truck and crank it open, it revs up to 4k but no acceleration.
This is my first vtwin and cruiser motorcycle. But based on how good and strong the bike feels at a low throttle, it should obliterate the tires at full throttle. I'm concerned if it is the clutch.
I would appreciate it if someone could suggest some tests or solution to figure this out.
FYI: The engine oil definitely needs a change. It it dark. I'm hoping to see some improvement after that.
I've been reading a lot about R6s and I was wondering are they difficult to ride in that aggressive position? Is there anything to look out for on them? I'm coming from dirt bikes / super moto setups which is a lot more upright in comparison! Any advice/help is appreciated 🙏🏽
