UAE might suspend visas for migrants from Nepal, Bangladesh & Nigeria over dilly-dallying of repatriation drives

The United Arab Emirates is considering the option of suspending the visas of migrants workers hailing from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Nigeria. Though UAE government has not released any official statement in this regard but according to inside sources it is highly likely to do so given the ignorant and forsaken behaviour of these nations towards their nationals stuck in the Gulf nation.

Congress Tables Motion in Parliament for Initiating Repatriation of Nepali Migrants

Thousands of Nepali migrants are stranded outside their country in COVID-19 hit nations that are under lockdown. Many of these workers are those who have been granted general amnesty and those who have lost their jobs.

A motion of public importance was registered in Nepalese Parliament on Monday. The motion was tabled for seeking safe repatriation of Nepali migrant workers stranded in various countries.
