Landlord Jaswant (Jesse) Dhami is sketch. Planning to post on the Housing page when some dust settles but she is very unprofessional and a poor communicator. At this point I’m just accepting that she’s not giving me the rest of my deposit back because she’s stopped responding to my texts and I’ve been on the phone with Tenants Union unable to reach anyone for at least three business days.
Double-check your leases. And set firm boundaries with her, i.e. she needs to text everyone, not just the one person, before showing up same day at 8pm. Lots of overstepping too. She would often come over during the term and tell us we needed to clean up or else she would charge us (when new people weren’t moving, so it was just us).
One of us had a dog and paid a pet deposit. The dog had to go to a different owner and a new dog replaced the old one (so not two pets in the house just one replaced). Jesse recognized it was a different dog and my housemate paid a second pet deposit.
A day before our deposits were due and I had to remind her to give us our deposits. For two weeks, she begrudgingly responded only to stop when I persisted and she wouldn’t give me answers on why a household fee was only split between the tenants that left, taking more from our deposit.
Side thing, we cleaned our spaces when we vacated, wiped and vacuumed. I even took pictures in case she gave me none of my deposit back claiming we didn’t meet the expectations per the lease and she still paid for a cleaning service which ended up taking stuff out. To clarify, a maid service ON TOP of the nonrefundable carpet cleaning fee in the lease.
Watch what you’re signing, try to rent from someone else, take pictures and stand your ground against this one because she’s bad news and she does not respect students or she would’ve given me a straight answer from the jump. When I started talking about deposits my housemates were basically like “oh yeah don’t expect it back lol. The last girl who fought her got $20 back”. She’s not your friend. She wants your money.
Watch out for Jaswant Dhami.
As title suggests, curious about these apartments in terms of safety and such
Hey so I will be going to whitworth this upcoming fall and I waas just wondering if you guys are chill with trans people (me)?
I’m admited to Whitworth, and wanted to know what their program is actually like. I haven’t been recruited and wanted to know if I could walk on or not.
I have a few questions about the univ:
And overall, is it good for international students?
Hi everyone!
I recently got accepted into the Whitworth University as international student. I got the 27k scholarship from the University+ 4k housing grant+ 6k as international grant by filling out the CSS profile.
The total cost of attendance on campus is around 70k and I heard many people saying that Whitworth University is giving out a lot of money for students, which happened in my case as well, but compared to the total of 70k I feel like it’s still long way to go.
I was expecting more from CSS profile and I was wondering how much you do receive and if you come up with a loan in order to pay the school?
Thank you!
Peace to everyone!
As a Spokane local, I'd rather not move to get my degree. What's the quality of Whitworth's physics program?
Is anyone in this subreddit in the MFT graduate program? I'm looking a few programs in the PNW and would love your insight. Or anyone is therapy related programs, for that matter. Thank you in advance!!
On one page it says that tuition is $565 per credit but on another page they say tuiion is $49000 per year, which one is more accurate Undergrad in cs
I was admitted as a second year transfer student, and I'm aware that I have until August 1st to submit my enrollment deposit, but will that shut me out of housing options? Ideally, I'd prefer to be in one of the more socially relevant dorms for second year students, but I'm afraid that if I wait too long to make my decision and submit my deposit, all the good ones will be gone.
What dorm is best for second years, and will I be able to get that dorm if I take my time in making my decision?
Thanks!
Me and my friend are looking to have the 2 of us in a dorm and have a bathroom/shower to just us we would be willing to have a 3rd roommate if needed but would prefer just us. We are not to worried about location as the both of us will have electric bikes/scooters to get around and care more about view. Please let me know which dorm you feel best fits that description, thanks.
Hello everyone!
I am from Bangladesh. Recently I got acceptance from WU (CS major) along with the mind and heart scholarship. I also got 4k usd per year housing grant. However, I did not receive my financial aid decision yet. I submitted my css profile 2 months ago. How much financial aid should I expect from the University? My expected family contribution is not more than 10k usd per year. As stated at the University website, I can manage 4k usd per year by working on campus.
Should I expect studying in withworth keeping in mind my aforementioned situation? Help me out here please🙏🙏
I got accepted into Whitworth for fall of 2023, I would very much like to participate on the Football team. Does the coaching staff hold an open tryout for university students that want to play? Or do they only recruit all of the players
I'm looking into whitworth as an incoming freshman, and I don't know much about dorm life. The website says the village has communal bathrooms, but online I've seen different types of communals. I'm a little nervous about sharing a bathroom with others, and I wanted to get as much info as possible. Can anyone help?
I got into Whitworth as an undergrad freshman! I received the University Scholarship but I have some questions.
4.How are dorms? 5.How’s Safety? Location? Spokane? 6.Do they actually focus on Christian Faith a lot, or is it kind of swept under the rug?
Join me brethren. This is the quest of a lifetime.
I’m 22 years old and have lived a very lonely and sheltered life so far. My university closed my program and now I’m looking at moving a 1,000 miles to Spokane, WA to finish my degree, possibly at Whitworth. Should I do it?
