The Vancouver Whitecaps FC subreddit
Welcome to r/whitecapsfc, the subreddit for Vancouver Whitecaps FC news and discussions.
No spam, racism, player bashing, or trash talk. For "trash talk" there are specific threads in /r/MLS. Do not downvote opinions if you do not agree with them or because they may be a supporter of another team. Let's try & keep things civil.
Ticket sales are allowed within reason, but cannot be priced above face value. We can remove sales threads at our discretion if we feel like it goes against the spirit of why we allow ticket sales in the first place; for fans unable to attend games they bought tickets for and would like another fan to have that opportunity. If you bought season tickets for Messi and want to sell off your tickets for all the other games, go somewhere else.
Listen during live matches to AM730 for play-by-play.

According to Paris Normandie, the Whitecaps are negotiating with Ligue 1 side Le Havre for attacker Emmanuel Sabbi. The American is 27 years old and has been in Ligue 1 for 1.5 years now.
Paris Normandie says they are hoping to close the deal in the next few days.
As we are (hopefully) aware of, there is (kinda) tension between the US and Canada. Tariffs and comments distracting our great nation has put a strain for sure. But the thing is, both our rivals are in the US. And Portland away is only a few weeks away. I’m planning on still going, but is anyone going to boycott the states fully?
Alright we're a couple weeks out, just wanted to check-in and see if anyone else is going to Saprissa away? I like getting out of Vancouver in the ugly months so I jumped on this, I'm only gonna be in San Jose a couple days but if anyone else is going feel free to HMU.
Edit: It just kinda hit me, I realize this is a long shot, but hey, why not right? I speak spanish and I've been to San Jose once before, so I figured this would be a nice way to get out of the cold, earn some frequent flyer miles and see my team play in a place I might never have another chance to see them.
Where can I find the shirt designs that Vanni Sartini used to wear to games?
and where can I get some Vanni-Caps stuff, if that exists/existed?
I know the international window is open and the Caps can hopefully get some players (or say they tried at least) but I just don't feel any enthusiasm or optimism for the upcoming season. We have just hired a new coach, lost attacking players with no replacements (so far), added some players who seem to be more like a level below what we should be targetting and the only news that gets released from the Caps is at best underwhelming (look at this new Canadian signing!!!) or downright depressing (this player who was going to be part of the core is leaving after barely playing for us). The season is less than two months away and I would be curious to see how the Caps build up any hype because they haven't done anything so far
hi, I’m a representative of AmerykańskaPiłka, a Polish portal dedicated to USMNT and MLS (our site is https://www.facebook.com/amerykanskapilka). Every year, we publish a MLS guide, and this year it will be printed again. We've added a new theme to this year’s guide because our plan is to interview passionate fans from each team about topics like matchday traditions, away days, tips on how to enjoy a match to the fullest, and include this in the guide. If we gather enough content, it will also be featured on the guide and our website. Here are the questions we’re asking:
