This thing is an absolute banger as a first pour of the night or just a casual sipper option. So much sweet caramel with a nice rounded oak note. Wish it was slightly higher proof to give it a thicker mouthfeel and longer finish but the front palate of this is damn near perfect.
Got this last night at an auction. Has anyone tried it?
I'm by no means a whiskey snob, but as a fan of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, I really wanted to try their branded whiskey.
I have to say, this is unironically one of the smoothest, if not the smoothest whiskey I have ever tasted in my life. I really think they've outdone themselves with this.
I really like Makers Mark, however I'd like to experience something new. Anything anyone can recommend that is similiar in price and just as good as Makers?
Which one would you pick over the other and why?
Thanks in advance!
I brought the OKI Rye.
New bottle looking forward to it let me know if yall tried it already
State store had these up and I’ve never had anything from Widow Jane, but it’s dark and looks intriguing. Obviously the price is …excessive
One of my regular go to spots called me up and asked me if I wanted this SFTB. I hadn’t even seen one on a shelf before! Got a friend coming over soon to do a blind with this, Gold and regular Blantons.
Has anyone tried recently? I missed out on a lot of earlier releases was taking care of my dad. Gonna pop open after wife's birthday dinner tonight. Cheers 🎃
Love this community.
I just wanna say how grateful I am to live in an age where whether you’re broke as a joke or rich as a bitch there’s a bourbon as good as this Russell’s Reserve 10 that you can enjoy anytime, any day.
What a time to be alive!
Happy Halloween!!
Gonna have a couple pours of this sweet bottle tonight. Previous Rye pickup was the JD SBBP Rye 130 proof and I loved it. This was recommended by someone on that post. Can’t wait to give this a go! What should I try next?
Headed to HH distillary tomorrow Nov. 1. Our tour is at 10:30 AM. Should we be there at 9:30 when the gift shop opens to get any good stuff before it sells out? Thanks for any advice.
The Class 6 can’t always be counted on but sometimes they come through….
Not much of a whiskey drinker (more cognac) but always wanna at times give it a go. Tried a few like jd, red label, haig etc but best so far is Jamesons and was gonna go for it again for Christmas but also had this book marked (aberlour) and now thinking I may go for this. According to Amazon a lot like it but doesn’t mean to say everyone will but still good to see positive reviews.
Is this a good one to try would you say? I am likely to get this but what other recommendations would people suggest ?
Didn’t like red label, haig club, monkey shoulder.
Don’t mind JD original but Jamesons is better and smoother.
Thanks.
So I had to post this for anyone in the area who's been looking. Costco Avon IN. And in case you don't have a costco membership, I believe Indiana is one of the states that let's you go in to get alcohol without a membership. Don't know about their allocated stuff but it may be worth a try.
I could be completely off about this but I got a bottle at $168.00 from a different store, It was good but not the end all be all juice. Someone may be wanting this for their collection though so I wanted to share.
They also had makers mark Cask strength for $34
Visited the distillery about 6 months ago and was blown away. Don’t sleep on Sons of Vancouver 🇨🇦
