Going to Georgia this weekend and wanted to know if there are any stores people recommend in the area.
Hello People, I’m from India, if any fellow Indians are there, can you suggest me cheap and best whiskeys to get from Dubai? One of my friends is coming from Dubai!
Missed out on the allocation drop. But they let me have the box. 🥴
Been through a rough patch and found myself having too many multiple dram nights for entertainment. I’ve decided to make the collection and liver last longer and tone it down. So still here and enjoying with you in greater moderation. Who’s been here?
Hi all,
Im doing a little cocktail party. Several of my friends are non drinkers but have expressed interest in trying an Old Fashioned.
Does anyone know of a decent non-alc bourbon? Ive heard the Lyre American malt is trash
TIA
I don't know much about whiskey. I like 1-1/2 fingers for a nightcap. I had been drinking Maker's Mark. The store was out so they recommended 1792 which is also good. Suppose just for the heck of it I were to try a 3rd brand. What would you suggest? Thanks
I’ve been slowly sipping at this bottle of Penelope Toasted for weeks, half way through and honestly I do like it. But tonight I opened a bottle of Knob Creek 12 Private Select and it’s so much more up my alley that half the bottle is gone and jumping back to the Penelope has totally changed my mind.
So, at what point would you be able to call whether or not you like a particular bottle?
Saw both of these at my local store and couldn't decide between the 2. I ended up getting a bottle of Heaven Hill bib 7yr instead because it's always been on my list to try. I'm not a fan of Willett so that kind of swayed my choice. Any opinions on JD vs PK?
See all the great pics of people’s collections. Here are a few from mine.
I know this seems random but I know Blantons has a couple of Japanese exclusive Bourbons that were made specifically for the Japanese market. So, I was wondering if Blantons or any other whiskey has products specifically released in Ireland and Scotland.
Hi y’all, I am hoping someone more knowledgeable than me can tell me whose mash bill this is. Rare Character, mash bill on back reads as “72/18/10”.
I am loving this unique pour, and since I know it’s sourced I’d really like to figure out who makes it so I can make it a regular part of the rotation. Any ideas how I can find it?
This week's auction that just ended was a nightmare.
I got on the site 15 minutes before the auction ended, and load times on all 3 devices (Windows laptop, Macbook and phone) were horrible. It wasn't my wifi, everything else I was doing was normal. Cost me opportunites to increase bids, which means sellers missed out on higher prices and UA missed out on higher commissions.
The new site took about 5 steps back in user-friendliness. Once you have more than one page of lots you're following, if you look at a lot, you can't just go to the prior or next lot from that page. You have to go back, and it takes you to the start of your list, then you have to page forward from there. Same for the lots you're winning and the lots on which you've been outbid. Extremely cumbersome. This is componded by the fact that you can't increase the number of lots you're viewing for the Outbid/Winning/Watching. Gotta go 10 at a time.
The new platform looks better, but using it is a horribly frustrating, slow, tedious experience, and I can't believe it's not costing sellers and UA money.
Hey all!
One of my best friends is getting married and I want to get him a nice bottle of bourbon for his bachelor party weekend. What would you all suggest?
One of his favorites is Woodford Reserve but I wanted to get him something out of the norm; something to commemorate with.
Back patio smoking some pork and watching the games.
Hard to find for me in MA but walking into a store in CT and found a ton of them. Excited to try these guys.
Found this bottle whilst clearing out a family members cellar - don’t know anything about whiskey but looks quite old.. anything fancy?
Hubby went on a podcast barrel pick at Old Forrester and brought this bad boy home! Presidents pick 12 year old not yet released! Can’t wait to crack this one!
How in the f can you fellas drink this stuff straight? I’m pushing 30 and I’ve tried probably 10 different whiskeys. Scotch, bourbon, Irish, etc. and all of them have a burning sensation. And no matter how hard I try I just don’t enjoy it. Did you guys not enjoy it as first but just forced yourself to keep sipping, or in some cases, gulping? I am an avid beer/wine drinker but hoping to have some insight on how you guys can enjoy whiskey as I’d like to broaden what I drink. Thanks!
