I was at the Singleton distillery yesterday and they were were giving out tasting samples of this, it was absolutely wonderful. I'm not a massive whisky connoisseur but I'm a big fan of Bunnahabhain and it reminded me a lot of it, the staff member agreed that there were similarities. They had 20% off everything in their shop, taking it to £104 but I still couldn't justify the cost. Anyway, I just came here to say that I really liked it.
Hey everyone,
I’ve recently started trying cigars, and it’s been such an interesting experience! In India, cigars aren’t that common—it’s usually cigarettes or sometimes hookah. But cigars always seemed cool to me, with the whole process of cutting, lighting, and just relaxing with one.
The first cigar I tried was a Romeo y Julieta No. 3. It was mild and pretty smooth, and I loved how the flavors changed as I smoked it. Since then, I’ve been trying different types—some with lighter wrappers, some darker—and even pairing them with coffee or whiskey (Glenfiddich 21 is my favorite).
I’ve realized cigars are so different from cigarettes. You don’t inhale; you just enjoy the taste and the slow, calming experience. It’s a lot more about taking your time and appreciating the craftsmanship.
For anyone here who smokes cigars, what’s your favorite one? And do you have any tips for someone who’s still figuring it out?
Would love to hear your thoughts!
Cheers! 😊
When I first tried this bottle I bought at lees liquor for around 80-90 I believe. Pretty good pour.
Christmas is coming up and my dad loves whiskey so I was going to get him an exotic whiskey he’s never tried, now I do have a budget of 50$ and it needs to be readily available at a local liquor store. What’s your take, what should I get him?
Sorry, no steering wheel, watch or crotch.
One of the smoothest whisky’s I’ve had in a cool minute courtesy of my good buddy
I’ve been interested in trying a port finished whiskey, and have seen lots about midwinter dram, but $150 a bottle is a tad high for me. Any recommendations??
Bottle pricing at local restaurants whiskey tasting.
Snagging a birthday bourbon at retail feels like a huge accomplishment!
Despite being 37, relatively new to whiskey. Did a whiskey tasting through work and LOVED the Elijah Craig. Looking for similar when I go to Total Wine & More this week
Thanks!

Proof: 116
Nose: Rich vanilla and the warm, buttery crust of a freshly baked cherry pie. Juicy cherry notes take center stage, vibrant and inviting, with a subtle campfire smokiness adding depth. As I continue to drink, fresh coffee ground notes emerge at the end. A fascinating nose that I couldn’t get enough of.
Palate: Wow. Honey and ripe, syrupy cherries coat the tongue, complemented by the sweetness of cherry hard candy. The flavors are absolutely mouthwatering, with a velvety, pleasantly oily mouthfeel. Drinks smoothly, with warmth and complexity that are well under the proof.
Finish: A long, satisfying finish where sweet cherry lingers beautifully. Mint and oak emerge, balancing the sweetness, with light peppery notes and baking spices providing a crisp, spicy close.
Conclusion: This whiskey blew me away. By far the most interesting bottle in my small collection right now. The cherry notes were exquisite, making each sip a luxurious experience. I can’t wait to see how it evolves as it opens up further.
Anyone know if there’s gonna be another Cyber Monday fiasco with the BevMo! website and allocated drops?
Haven’t seen anything yet this year, but I wanted to check with the group…
I'm in Murfreesboro, TN on business for a few weeks and I'm considering touring the Jack Daniel's Distillery next weekend as its not but an hour drive south of where I'm at. From Jack Daniel's, I've honestly never had anything outside of regular Jack I've used as a mixer with coke, but I see many people on here praise some of their other offerings which I'd be interested in.
I guess my biggest questions are for those that have toured the distillery or have been there. Is it worth the price of admission? And do they offer some of those more select bottles at their store on site?
Hoping for some help. I'm looking for a good whiskey for a 50th birthday present. Recipient is not an expert of buff, but likes whiskey. Looking to spend around $100-$150.......any advice would be appreciated.
One of those nights. Good whiskey, and Bitcoin
Need recommendations for a nice whiskey to get my husband for Christmas. I don’t know anything about whiskey so I’m stumped.
Finally made a trip south of the border, found the Penelope, Russell’s and Devils River all at the one and only stop along the way. Probably most excited to try the Penelope Toasted!
My brother got this at an estate sale today. How do you verify that it’s real?
Or is it the same juice as the bottles we see today?
