All I can tell is it’s a carnivore of some type. The bones are very scattered but it might be in the canine family? Jaw bone was 5-6 inches in length

What animal does this skeleton belong to?

I’m assuming it’s some kind of fish, as it felt very light and more like cartilage than solid bone.

Need help identifying this guy i found on a walk

Massachusetts- found in state forest near lots of deer tracks but much wider than any deer bone I’ve ever seen

I’m guessing a kitty because of the claws. Found in a neighborhood in north Texas, Rockwall County(just east of Dallas).

Found in SF Bay Area walking the Vallejo shore of the Carquinez straight. Few years back I found what people here said was a sea lion flipper, wanting to see if this is similar? Pretty sure it’s bone, sorry if I’m mistaken and this is wood.

Hi everyone ! I am an undergrad studying archaeology and I am currently the TA for the introduction to Zooarchaeology class at my uni. We have quite a large and detailed comparative collection and I have office hours every few days. I wanted to start posting a few bones every week and having people trying to guess what bone it is , and revealing the answer after someone gets it right or after a few days of no one getting it correct. Here is the first bone , anyone wanna guess what bone this is, what animal or animal group is it from and what side of the body ? Enjoy !
