Hi guys, I could really do with some help/advice. My puppy (5 months old) started having serious itching/scratching issues about a month ago (at first it was barely noticeable, now constant). I have tried switching food and anti-itch shampoos and oils/supplements but no luck. She has started developing "raw" spots and is scratching essentially all the time. Visit to the vet wasn't helpful as they seemingly downplayed the symptoms. Any advice on what to do? She's so young and I've read very mixed reviews about CentrePoint etc. so I'm not sure about meds?

Woody came into our lives as a rescue a little more than 12 years ago and I loved him immensely from the start. He was such a great boy, he made friends wherever he went and was my sweet snuggle buddy at home. My world revolved around him and is so empty without him. π’ I miss him so very much.
Pero knows where the warmest place in the house is!
No shame
This is Missy, she is 7 months old and smart as a whip. She is being raised along with an 8 year old female Airedale who is showing her the ropes vis a vis our dog run.
She has been going down the stairs to the door for access to the run since she was 4 months old with odd pee accident every couple of days but lately she is back sliding. Today she has had 4 accidents in the house and she has been out just prior to each one. It's like she doesn't completely void her bladder. Does anyone have any wisdom for me or am I just forgetting how long it takes to house break?
He is 7mths old and his groomer recommended that he now needs to be stripped. He hates getting brushed. Will stripping be to traumatic for him, what are the benefits? He is our first dog and as owners we are nearly incompetent. Thanks
I'm here because I hope to become a welshie mom one day. I lost my 16 yr old mini schnauzer, Charlie, just 3 weeks ago and am so lost without my best boy. I have also fallen in love with a welshie in my neighborhood. He lets me hug and love on him and rolls over at my feet to give him belly rubs when I'm out walking in the neighborhood. It's as if he knows I'm deeply grieving and hurting. He is only 1 yr 4 mo old, but the way he looks at me with intensity and with curiosity, it's as if he's a smart, stoic old man. I'm convinced my Charlie is speaking to me through this precious welshie. My question for you all here is this related to how hypoallergenic your welshie is. I'm allergic to dogs, cats and horses, however I never had any allergy to my mini schnauzer, not in 16 years. I smashed my face into his fur to smell him as we snuggled 20 times a day, slept with him, groomed him myself, etc, and I never once had any reaction at all. Before I get serious about finding a welshie to bring home, could you all tell me your experiences with your welshie living with people who are allergic to dogs?
A visit to Caffi Largo in Pwllheli. Ymweliad cyntaf i gaffi.
Had to make the decision last May. He lived a good life of a little over 13 years. I wasn't the perfect owner, and he wasn't the perfect dog, but we had each other and it was great.
Pretty much every day I just wish I could tell him I'm sorry, explain to him what was happening, and smell his little head again.
Looking for some advice!
I brought home my 8 month old welshie 2 weeks ago. He came potty trained and crate trained. I live in an apartment which was a little adjustment for him at first with going to the bathroom outside, but within a few days he was getting used to his schedule. The past week, he has been randomly having poop accidents in the house. Only poop accidents, he has only peed inside once and that was the day we brought him home. I definitely take him out enough and have been giving him the same food our breeder gave us. Only new food he has been eating is his treats which are just duck and chicken training treats.
Here is his current walk / bathroom break schedule:
6:30 AM - bathroom break
7 AM - 30 min walk
12 PM - 30 min walk
5 PM - 30 min walk
8 PM - bathroom break
10:30 PM - bathroom break
The most confusing part is that usually these accidents happen very soon after he comes in from a walk or bathroom break and even if he has just pooped outside.
Any advice would be very helpful! I'm really not sure what I should do :(
I donβt hand strip him, too expensive but heβs still a beautiful boy
A windy Sunday morning at Porth Neigwl.
