I'm currently an HS senior and am considering West Chester University as an option. As someone who's going to be majoring in art, does anyone have any experience with WCU's art department? Or just other general things to note about the school?
The people that work at the financial aid office are extremely unhelpful. I understand being frustrated from being asked the same questions but maybe release statements and updates on what’s going on, especially with this whole PA State Grant thing being delayed. Everytime I call they sound miserable and are mumbling into the phone, and make it as though it’s an inconvenience I’m calling them asking about financial aid.
Hello, I will be a college freshman next year and am strongly considering WCU. However, I've heard housing right now is super competitive. The person I will be rooming with will be a transfer student sophomore next year. We need someplace with a private/semi-private bathroom (either shared between us or shared between us and 1 other unit) and obviously it has to house freshmen and sophomores, but those are the only requirements. What's the likelihood of being able to get this?
Here is the situation. Student is a freshman and somewhat unhappy at his present university in the midwest. He applies to West Chester University as a transfer for upcoming spring semester (hoping to be happy closer to home). As part of the West Chester transfer application, student sent High School Transcript (which has great grades) and current college transcript, which had no grades yet. Student receives an acceptance letter for spring semester, which says that he has been accepted but it also says that acceptance is "contingent upon" his successful completion of his current coursework. One of the current classes that student is in danger of failing is similar to WCU's FYE and, if student does fail, he is not given an F he is simply given an "NC" (no credit). Student is in danger of getting a NC (failing). Student is also in danger of failing his sociology class. His other two classes are at an A and he will probably not fail (and will probably get an A ) those. If student fails a class and gets a "No Credit" in the other, will West Chester revoke his acceptance? Or, will they simply not accept those credits (obviously) and still let him attend? Any one know?
They require you take a chemistry class I'm highschool I still have time to do it however it'll have to happen next semester and I'm trying to get in Fall 2025.
Also how big of a requirement is it to take chemistry?
My son is a HS senior, all AP and honors classes, and top 10 class rank. He’s thinking of majoring in economics or business. Will be living on campus and applied to the honors program. Been doing some research but there’s only so much you can glean from those sources. Anyone willing to share some insight? Need to know the good, the bad, and the ugly.
What’s the school’s overall reputation?
How are the professors and advisors for someone majoring in business or economics?
How’s living in the dorms?
How are the dining options? Food any good?
How’s the honors program?
Does the school help students find internships during college and full-time employment after graduation? Is the school any good at it?
What’s one thing you love and one thing you hate (or needs improvement) about WCU?
Is there anything you wish you knew about WCU before you (or your child) attended?
I’m trying to join a class that has six open waitlist spots, but I can’t find any button to add myself to the waitlist. I feel like I’ve gotta be missing something super obvious lol
Will people be dressing up at college bars on Saturday the 2nd?
hi! i'm currently a junior in psychology, and i'm looking at schools to possibly do my masters. how competitive is wcu, and does anyone have any feedback on the MS in psych program itself?
I have a 3.0 gpa, my extracurriculars are pretty normal/ good, I’m an early education major and I plan to apply next week. I’m a PA resident and this is my top school so obviously I’m nervous about being rejected. Do you guys know anybody who has been rejected?

Applied on the 8th and they got my transcript on the 17th? When should I hear back for whether or not I got in?
Hi so I have sort of a strange request. I took philosophy 101 awhile back and I need a syllabus for my current college to review it for transfer but I can’t seem to find one anywhere online. If anyone has an intro to Phil syllabus from west Chester I would really appreciate it if you could share it.

Hi all! I’m applying this year to WCU’s Masters of Social Work program and was wondering if anyone has any experience or commentary on the Philadelphia campus? I can’t find much online of people’s testimonies. Mainly I want to know about the community on campus — I’m moving back to PA from Canada and am hoping to make some friends and be connected to the other people in my program! Thank you!
Hello all. I am greatly considering transferring into West Chester university this spring (2025) as a freshman. I was curious if anyone is looking for a roommate to live on campus with. I am a female looking to dorm with another girl. I am clean and have many hobbies including going out, cooking, traveling, etc. Please reach out with your instagram if you are interested in having a discussion about this.
Hi, incoming grad here. Work made it so I had to miss every single one of the orientations... Ugh. Does anyone know how to access D2L and would be kind enough to explain it to me?
I know this is a long shot but I just moved in with family outside of WC and am looking to get my own place closer to campus. I am a female 26 y/o transfer and would love to find a roommate! Message if interested.
Hi! New graduate student here. When should I expect to see the financial aid refund hit my direct deposit? I saw on the financial aid / bursar office website that they begin processing everything this week, but I wasn't sure if any students here could share when they've received their $$ through direct deposit.
also another question, people on reddit only had positive things to say about this school and I didn't see any negative things, does anyone have any cons to say? I heard about the housing but anything else?
Thank you
also for context, I'm OOS so I prob won't have a car unless needed
Hi, I’m currently interested in pursuing a film production/directing degree at a university. I was hoping someone could tell me about the film program here and any other general information about WCU as I don’t know much. Anything at all helps, thank you!
