Mostly just Walmart stuff.
Finally a subreddit for all things Wal-Mart.
If you have anything interesting to post,
Please do.
This is basically a virtual break room for employees so prepare to be roasted if you try fuck around with that vibe
NOTE: This sub isn't heavily moderated. I do my best to keep spam out and the trolls under the bridge. I believe that the best subs are the ones where the mods stay out of the way (for the most part).
EXTRA NOTE: Don't act like an asshole. If you have to ask yourself "am I being an asshole?" You probably are. Cut it out.

I have the flu, I rarely get sick but when I do it's bad. I have a high fever, no medical insurance and long story short I'm going to have to call in to work tonight again. I already had 2 points before yesterday and I've only been an o/n associate for a little over 3 months so I don't have ppto or PTO incrued enough to cover me. Is there a way to go about it to where I don't lose my job or put myself at risk? I can't shift swap because it isn't giving me the option on the app and I really don't know anyone. And it's not like I'm calling in for leisure. I'm sick and pushed through 2 days but it's gotten worse. Just looking for some input, I need this job, I need the money I'm having to miss out on with Christmas coming up but I just can't do it
I need a poster printed, if I order it online it won't get here in time (need it by Thurs). I called my local store and they said I could possibly get it done in store, and get it faster than I would online. But I didn't really get a solid yes or no as to if it would even be possible to print a poster that big in stores.
Hi this is my first post here but I have a question for anyone/everyone lol. I work in claims and I work full time, but my feet kill me like all day everyday I work. I don't think it's my feet that is causing the problem because they don't hurt anytime outside of work. But I can't tell if it's even my shoes because I wear the same shoes outside of work and I don't ever have a problem with them (I have like 5 pairs I switch between š ). I know the reason that my feet hurt because most of my time I'm standing. But maybe there's a certain shoes brand thats for standing more then like walking/running? Like I currently have a pair of hokas that are for walking, but they still hurting my feet most days. I also know that the Walmart floor is terrible in general but I can't be the only one with this problem (hopefully) š š„²
I got terminated by Walmart without any big reason, I was pulling a female employee's hairband, and she had a good connection with me and she use to be the same towards me before, but on that day she was pissed of something else, she complaint about me and later she went back to tell the manager that she don't standby what she said, but the manager said he already looked at the camera and now can't take the complain back, Now I got termination letter and they have exaugurated the issue very much in the statement of the termination letter, so I seek advice from someone who might know what to do in this.
I work for a Walmart that could only afford 1 cart mule, but the mule is currently out of operation. Today, a colleague decided to sit on top of the mule and I informed another colleague about it. I don't know if anything will come out of it, but please don't disrespect cart pushers like that.
Both Walmarts in my area are pushing for people to apply with signs everywhere and are very busy stores. I applied with open availability for the holidays for cashier or sales. No one has checked my application or called. So Iāve been trying to call both stores near me to get an interview and no one ever answers. Corporate told me I should go up there and speak to them in person. My sister tells me I need to wait for them to call me and not beg for a job. Has anyone had difficult times getting into Walmart for a job? Should I wait or do what corporate says? Itās Christmas and I need a little more money to do Christmas things and New Years Eve.
So i justed used my ppto for my birthday rn and supposedly that i only need to use 8ppto (currently have 8:47ppto) but due to the error of not having lunch in my schedule its now 9hour shift. Its supposed to be an 8hour shift, then i used all my ppto to celebrate my birthday and worrying if I'll still receive a point due to the bug. My team lead is telling me to call in cause ill received a 3 points if i dont. Dont 8:47ppto cover 9hour shift fucking bug its only supposed to be 8 hour i wasted .47 ppto
I am so sick and tired of people whining and complaining about getting ID'd. I just dealt with a woman who didn't have an ID. I refused the sale. She responded by grabbing both bottles and full force chucking them behind the register. I genuinely wish she hit me with them so I could've pressed charges.
Also compared to DG there is SO MUCH computer training oh my god it seems so complicated.
Pic (not mine) for attention lmao
Iām on my 6th day and Iām relatively more competent and able than half my coworkers, but Iām in electronics and weāre severely under staffed and I tend to get left alone for 45 mins to an hour on occasion and this results in me having to help 2-6 people at once by myself, while I can do this pretty good I tend to do things like forget to log off the register or leave a gated door open (only when Iām right in front of it) and random things. The biggest mistake I made was forgetting to give the customer their change and then re scanning the item to give their change (shorted the register) since I was alone and couldnāt open it by myself otherwise and I told the upper guy about it and heās pretty chill. But sometimes I feel like Iām messing up a lot especially for it only being my first week.
I was working at the register yesterday and I ended up having a panic attack and today I was being given a feedback by the team lead cuz I was acting crazy during that situation.
Can I be coached for productivity a week later?
I think Sedgwick is screwed up because of the hack. If I say loa as the reason for absence will they remove my point?
Edit: I need to clarify a few things. The absence hasnāt happened yet and I donāt have any points. The problem is that on Sedgewickās calendar it doesnāt have the leave starting until 3 weeks into the leave even though it has the correct start date in the system. So Iām just wondering if I donāt show up on the days Iām on leave and say LOA as the reason will I be okay
Iām glad but confused on the being a few minutes early rule š insane you can get points being five minutes early or something. Do you just walk in and stand for a bit till yāall check in?? Lmao
Im wondering since the Walmart I work at is a bit further away than my local Walmart. Is the discount applicable at any Walmart or is it only the Walmart I work at?

hi! does anyone remember the walmart brand potato brand? i havenāt seen it in easily 5 years, maybe more i miss it, it was so yummy and flavorful and honestly just really healthy it was in a yellow plastic bag i think! i canāt find pictures of it but my mama LOVED it for reference tho this was way back when the bread was still 98 cents to a dollar
Currently curious if I were to accept a salary role (coach/ops) does walmart offer relocation for an external hire? The manager interviewing didn't know and said they'd have to talk to market.
I just have to ask, this Wal-Mart Radio has got to be AI, right? Is there really a fucking Wal Mart radio station somewhere? Do they wear blue vests while on air? Were the hosts former Wal Mart employees? Where are all these āproudā Wal Mart workers who call in to the show? Are they wasting a 15 min break just to call in?
When going on paid family leave is the pay what i get on my usual checks or do they do it a different way? I read that I get 100% pay through walmart, but i received like 80% of my gross pay instead.
Man so times are rough and Iām always moving from place to place. I can never just settle down somewhere and it sucks. Iāve worked at two Walmarts now, neither for more than a few months, and I want to get hired again. This time at the same location as last time. Not only does that probably look bad, because I clearly have commitment issues, but even though I told my team leader that I was resigning last time, I noticed that after I left I couldnāt apply again for a certain period of timeā Iām worried she blacklisted me or put down that I was a no call no show, or something.
Any tips on how to get hired here again? For once my circumstances will be stable for at least a year and Walmart is my favorite job to go back to.
