Mostly just Walmart stuff.
Finally a subreddit for all things Wal-Mart.
If you have anything interesting to post,
Please do.
This is basically a virtual break room for employees so prepare to be roasted if you try fuck around with that vibe
NOTE: This sub isn't heavily moderated. I do my best to keep spam out and the trolls under the bridge. I believe that the best subs are the ones where the mods stay out of the way (for the most part).
EXTRA NOTE: Don't act like an asshole. If you have to ask yourself "am I being an asshole?" You probably are. Cut it out.

Reason for asking: I have severe feet issues AND THEY ALL DARN WELL KNOW ABOUT THEM... But of course schedule for this comes out and Gee look, 6 days in a row. I will not be able to walk at 5 much less 6 days, and let's not forget about dealing with the all the wonderful understanding customers in a great deal of pain... PPTO has been blown away by storms and another health issue, they just accumulate soooo slow......
I have seen and copied/printed a list (per store) from the corporate web site to use as defense but was wondering if anyone had any other info or links.
I can just see them trying to nail me for trying to survive this "sale"... All of this goes back of course to Managements inability or lack of skills or maybe just corporate directives to not have enough or even ANY people working in half the store at various times.
Holiday season and the only New hires I have seen lately are for OGP, which of course still needs "emergency" pulls from every department daily so the departments work can't get done... But that's ok.....
I digress, sorry.
Any info would be greatly appreciated as I decide what to do about this.
I'm normally a day shifter, but if you work overnights picking for the black Friday events, are you supposed to get the overnight differential for working said shift/s? I've heard mixed answers so far.
Extending Walmart's hours to 24/7 operations offers several benefits. Firstly, it would cater to night owls and those with unconventional schedules, providing them with the flexibility to shop at their convenience. This could enhance customer satisfaction and potentially increase sales by capturing a market segment that prefers late-night shopping. Additionally, 24-hour operations could alleviate congestion during peak hours, improving the shopping experience for all customers. Furthermore, it could create more job opportunities, contributing positively to local economies.
Named him Gus. He ran away. Best associate.
If i change my current 401k contribution will it become effective immediately for current pay period ending on 11/15 or is it gonna be for the following one?
Hi guys, I got an interview tomorrow for General Merchandise DM Position. I’ve been working as a produce associate for 2 years and I’ve mostly worked on most of the fresh departments. But never worked on the general merchandise position. If anyone has any ideas about what kind of questions they ask for this role, please let me know. I’ve would be deeply appreciate the help.
A coworker has my number for a situation where she was alone in her area and I told her to text me if help was needed as I had to finish an assigned task. That was a month ago. I did tell her not to give my # out and to only use it in a situation like this- when I KNEW she might need help.
I got a text at the end of the day - where are you. I told her. Then later I heard it go off. I didn’t look. I was working and trying to finish to go home.
Turns out she texted me for TL to do another task - THAT TL did not mention an hour ago when we were mapping out assignments for the rest of the shift.
Number one - dipshit should have told me to do the task when she saw me.
Number two - Walmart does NOT pay for my phone. I am not and will not freely give it to any TL. They can come find me if needed. I told coworker where I was when she asked me in text. And TL has come down and found me before on that aisle. She was being lazy and I think my coworker wanted brownie points that she could text me.
But surely I cannot be held accountable for something like this??…
would it be appropriate to ask HR to transfer me to a different department right after 3 months of hire? I’m having issues with management, I am a personal shopper and have been for about 1.5 months. My manager is giving me passive aggressive behavior at all times, will talk about me to other managers but never tell me what I’m doing wrong to better my performance, loudly too so I can over hear. I’m not very happy with this treatment, I deserve to treated like a human being, if I’m doing something wrong please tell me so I can fix it. I went all crazy today trying to work my hardest and my avg pick rate is 90, (oversized and regulated walks kill my auto pick rates), I’m not saying that they don’t have a right to hold me accountable, but their behavior makes me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable at work and I just don’t want to put up with that any longer, I don’t wish to make this a big deal either, Id like to just switch departments.
So I had a order refunded. I picked it up on the 7th and today they refunded the whole order. The only thing I can think of is I declined a substitute. (I read that on a post In here and that was the only thing in common) will I get in trouble, and will Walmart want it back?
I got my delivery order and was irritated as I was bringing it in. Multiple single items in bags. He stacked a 5lb thing of flour on top of my eggs. Etc.
Then I started unpacking everything and found this. Suddenly my mind is like "maybe he didn't pack the order" "maybe he didn't see that 2nd carton of eggs". Trickery! 😆
I’ve been here for 6 months and have had my steady Mon and Thursday off. They gave me the day before Thanksgiving off and took an hour off my shift for Tuesday. Is this normal around the holidays? I’m not complaining but at the same time would like to keep that shift lollll.
I swear we have all these damn features in the back that can be full stackbases, but no some higher up said we have to have 5 H features no full stackbases. Like bruh this shit is getting packed in the back room, fuck them crockpots on the stackbase with my grocery. So fucking irritating.
My sister had to take a leave of absence for bereavement related reasons. Her day to come back was meant to be today, but she got sick and has spent all day vomiting. She's unfortunately at 4.5 points. Is there a way to last minute increase the LOA by 1 more day, or is she screwed?
Seriously I have had to take 8 carts to the grave yard where all the other carts are today. I find 3 carts a week that have something wrong with them from damaged tire to hardly being able to turn or straight up goes out of control walmart needs to do better with these damn things. Anyone agree?
I'm in desperate need of health and dental insurance. My question is; When is enrollment for your company's insurance? I need to know if I just missed it and would have to wait until next year, or if it's coming up in less than 6 months or so.
Also, should I be concerned about any stipulations? I don't work at Walmart yet, but depending on yalls help. Getting a job there could be very beneficial for my family.
Thank you in advance.
I’m currently having extreme mental health issues that are going to mean that I cannot work right now. Does Walmart provide any resources where I can talk to a mental health provider who can give information over to Sedgwick for a mental health LOA? I looked into it and the coaches through LYRA are currently unable to do so. Thank you in advance for any help!
Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the use of PPTO on key event days, specifically Black Friday. I was scheduled to have the day off, but my manager recently added me to the schedule. I’m considering covering half of the shift using PPTO, and I know that typically this would result in a 0.5 attendance point. However, given that Black Friday is a key event day, does anyone know if the point value would still be 0.5, or would it round up to 1?
Thanks in advance for any insights!
Wonder what happened here 🤔
I've worked there years ago as an overnight stocker and left when I got sick. I've been putting applications in for a lot of rules for awhile and never hear anything back. I am looking for a stable long term job and was really interested in the personal shopper job. I did apply but should I go in store to ask or just call?
So ive already got about 6 months experience working with frieght (cap 3) and im wondering if theres any jobs at walmart with a 7-5 schedule where i dont have to worry about interacting with customers too much?
I saw an article quite a few months ago about how walmart was raising all their associates minimum wage to $18/hr from $17.50 and also raising the gm base salary. I still only make $15.50. So was this only for super walmarts or certain states?
These two days being right next to each other is crazy
Ive been wanting to transfer from ON to Cap 1… the lead and coach from CAP 1 was willing to take me as soon as the pay period was over. My coach told that coach, before she even told me about it, that she wants me one more month and that he’s just going to have to “deal with it”. Anyways, the cap 1 team lead then told my sister who works with me that in 1 month they can’t guarantee my spot because they need people so my sister told them I said they can transfer me ASAP regardless of what my coach wants. That was about 2 weeks ago. NOW, a CAP 1 associate who pretty much has a associate/team lead role has told my sister his coach and team lead have been ready for my transfer but my coach is preventing it and apparently told them she wants me until JANUARY now and I didn’t even know this! I’m not trying to switching for the hell of it. I’m doing it because the schedule works with my kids and husband (overnights worked when they were younger). MIND YOU, she let 2 people transfer already to CAP 2. I’m not trying to brag but I really am one of their fastest workers. I feel like that’s why she’s not letting me go. CAN SHE DO THAT? Can a coach prevent your transfer like that and pick and choose when you can leave? I feel like she tricked me into staying knowing they can’t guarantee a spot for me because she wants me on her shift…… And I don’t know how the transfer process works so I also feel dumb for even going with the “just one more month” thing.
