Mostly just Walmart stuff.

Finally a subreddit for all things Wal-Mart.

If you have anything interesting to post,

Please do.

This is basically a virtual break room for employees so prepare to be roasted if you try fuck around with that vibe

NOTE: This sub isn't heavily moderated. I do my best to keep spam out and the trolls under the bridge. I believe that the best subs are the ones where the mods stay out of the way (for the most part).

EXTRA NOTE: Don't act like an asshole. If you have to ask yourself "am I being an asshole?" You probably are. Cut it out.

no topstock carts after 1pm?

management told us a few days ago that we are no longer permitted to use topstock carts after 1pm. wondering if this is a normal/common rule across walmarts or if it's as insane as it feels? it's been super inconvenient LOL.

Infinite ppto glitch? Anyone else have this?

Anytime i use ppto it gets approved and paid out but restores a day or two later.

It takes 30 hours to earn 1 hour ppto, but even when i use a full hour its always back in 1-2 days despite me working 8 hour shifts.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. Its only been happening for about 2 months. Before that it worked like normal.

What does this mean?

Why is this assessments section on my associate career portal page and why does it say competitive? It wasn't on it a few days ago when I checked. This might me a dumb question but I can't find anything online

Might be working at Walmart?

I’m kind of new to retail work environments since my last jobs were either housekeeping and elderly caregiver to a family member. I’m nervous no matter where I become employed but I’m trying to make a decent enough decision. I’ve got callbacks from 3 different places. Walmart, Walgreens and Tj Max. All positions are for part time and roughly the same pay but I don’t know which is best. Really it’s either Walmart or Walgreens cause I like the locations for my commute. I’m weighing the pros and cons of each like Walgreens would be morning and their not 24 hours plus is a smaller store. At Walmart I’d be mid shift working either the register or assisting customers at the self checkouts. Does any one have any suggestion or advice if I went with Walmart?

Associates, are there any of y’all who tell customers you don’t work in certain departments when they need help and they bitch at you because you told them you don’t work in that department?

Just bored. Wanted to have a causal conversation I guess.

Shits depressing

Just witnessed something genuinely sad as fuck to see, couple of Hispanic guys were grocery shopping and some “ghetto” white ladies walk by same path screaming about ice. These people can’t even grocery shop dude. Wanted to mention it at the least at the customer service desk but there was a Hispanic gentleman and I didn’t want to downgrade stuff any further. Idk how to even handle that. It’s just depressing what the earth is coming to, I already hate the company and the management, but damn this company sucks.

When did stocking times change?

I noticed the stocking times changed when I looked at the freight report. When the hell did that happen?

Walmart Delivery, when you choose an express or 'within 3 hours' paid reservation, is it still the employees putting together a 'pickup' order for a delivery driver, or are those rushed ones basically Instacart-ish 'shopper' runs?

How long does this look good?

Despite it (arguably) being a bad idea my TL asked me to move these pillsbury from a bunker to our chilled endcap. I’m happy with how it looks now but I know it’s gonna fall apart quick. The packs don’t stand on their own (had to stack behind then lean some back onto them) and the boxes are so thin they fall over at the smallest touch. So I wanna know how long you think it looks reasonably good without stuff flopping everywhere? 🤣

Online order came from China shipped by yanwen shipping no advisory posted online of international shipping.

If you know your item is coming from abroad, then this isn't for you. I found my item on ebay for less and located in usa while I was waiting for the walmart to be delivered. I knew it'd be a bad process and I'd be able to get a refund. Or not my car repairs would have been even more delayed.

Make sure you know your package is shipping from usa. Many sellers are shipping from China but make it seem as they are shipping from usa. We are charge more for items shipping from usa compared to shipping from china. Items shipping from China shouldn't be so high to be the same as American located products.

I ordered a car part not knowing it'd be coming from China. Walmart did not post any updates of my order for a few days online. When I called customer service they told me there is a tracking number. I told them it's not posted online at all, & not a single update. They gave me the tracking number and make sure to also ask which company is the tracking for. The tracking information posted a day or 2 after i first called walmart asking where's my package. It ended up being for a Chinese shipper. I had a bad experience from a deceiving ebay seller marked his item as located in usa, but it was shipped from China. I was also upset because I paid a higher price than I should have if it was coming from China & lost time waiting longer than i should have. I bought the part again on ebay, located in usa and still got it faster. Walmart refund policy still allowed me to get my refund but I had to wait to receive the order and then return it, or ask the delivery person to send back to sender. Or, if I didn't receive the item by delivery datw, then I can call walmart & Walmart will give me my refund. I knew I wasn't getting the package in time because China isn't fast enough. Chinese sellers think they can get a package to the usa without us noticing.

I got my refund after not receiving my item on time, by delivery date. A week after my refund I ended up still getting the item in the mail and the shipping label on the package is not honest. The shipping address on the package says it came from literally the same city I am in, I was so surprised. If that was true, why would it take so long for me to get my item lol the label had a tracking number that came back to nothing, even the qr code was bogus. The real tracking number was on the bottom and not labeled. Yanwen shipping was the company that was shipping it to usa. I saw one little clue of a Chinese email at the bottom one secret sticker you can't see because they put another sticker label on top.

The fact that they're they don't care to just lie so much is what annoys me. I've even been given an actual usps tracking number that said my item was picked up by 3rd party shipper awaiting to be given to usps in Jamaica queens nyc. It stayed like that for 3 weeks or something. Made it seem like it was in NYC nit moving, in reality usps was waiting to receive the item from China. The 3rd party shipper was in China.

Does anybody’s Deli do this?

When I worked in Produce I’ve seen the Deli associates dispose Bakery foods using the claims app that were already marked down and they take the disposed Bakery foods home with them to eat because they think they’re still good even on the day of their best by date, they offered me some but I told them “No thanks” I would want them if they were fresh.
